The Effect of Self-Presentation on SNS to Interpersonal Relation and Intention to Use (SNS상에서의 자기표현행위가 오프라인 대인관계 및 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향 분석 연구)

  • SNS is one of the fastest service entering in mature stage. But now there are not any empirical analysis the effect of SNS from user point of view. In this paper, we investigate the effect of self presentation on SNS to interpersonal relation and intention to use. we set online presentation self-efficacy and involvement as two antecedent factors. And we suggest that the purposes of using SNS be Image improvement and knowledge contribution. The change of interpersonal relation in offline is set a result of using SNS and a mediating variable between online self-presentation and intention to use. In the results, firstly, we confirmed that the online presentation self-efficacy and involvement are predisposing factors for online self-presentation on SNS in the positive direction. Secondly, the using SNS has significantly positive effect on the change of interpersonal relation. Especially, the improvement of interpersonal relation is originated from image improvement and knowledge contribution. Thirdly, the improvement of interpersonal relation have also significantly more higher effect on the intention of use.

  • The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has profoundly impacted all aspects of undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education. Only the focus of medical education-care for patients and communities-has remained an integral part of all of the above sectors. Several challenges have been experienced by learners and educators as the education and training of future doctors has continued in the midst of this crisis, including the cancellation of face-to-face classes and training, reduced patient encounter opportunities, fairness issues in online assessments, disruption of patient interview-based exams, reflections on the role of doctors in society, and mental health-related problems linked to isolation and concerns about infection. In response to these disruptions, educators and institutions have rapidly deployed educational innovations. Schools have adopted educational strategies to overcome these challenges by implementing novel education delivery methods in an online format, providing clinical experiences through simulation or telehealth methods, introducing online assessment tools with formative purposes, encouraging learners' involvement in nonclinical activities such as community service, and making available resources and programs to sustain learners' mental health and wellness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, educators and institutions have faced drastic changes in medical education worldwide. At the same time, the quantitative expansion of online education has caused other problems, such as the lack of human collaboration. The long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on medical education need to be studied further.

Effects of Information Quality of Online Travel Agencies on Trust and Continuous Usage Intention: An Application of the SOR Model

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between information quality, Online Travel Agency (OTA) trust, and continuous usage intention provided by OTA through the application of the SOR(Stimulus-Organism-Response) model. To achieve the purpose of the study, 234 responses were used for analysis, and the hypotheses were tested through the SPSS v.21 program and AMOS v.21 programs. The research results can be classified into the following three categories. First, it was determined that accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness among the factors for information quality had a significant positive effect on OTA trust and continuous usage intention. Second, it was determined that OTA trust was found to have a significant positive effect on continuous usage intention. Third, it was determined that OTA trust had an indirect effect on the relationship between accuracy, timeliness, usefulness, and continuous usage intention among the factors for information quality. This study looked at the lower dimension of information quality, which was insufficient in the field of OTA. This study can be used as basic data to, in practice, build a user-centered informational provision environment by identifying the factors that promote the continuous usage intention of consumers, which is linked to the revenue of online travel agencies.

  • This study was conducted with 92 people who participated in the online self-introduction consulting program operated for 3 weeks in August, 2020 at a university. This is a study to find out whether the application of the online self-introduction consulting program helped prepare for employment. As a result of the study, there was not enough self-introduction to be written in advance or the employment target organization was not clear. After participating in the online self-introduction consulting program, it was very helpful in preparing for employment, and the service utilization of the related self-introduction program was high. They responded that a series of questions about the templates in the program helped to write the self-introduction letter. It was said that the interview preparation process is necessary as a necessary job support education

New Detection Cheating Method of Online-Exams during COVID-19 Pandemic

  • A novel approach for the detection of cheating during e-Exams is presented here using convolutional neural networks (CNN) based systems. This system will help the proctors to identify any kind of uncertain event at the time of online exams, for which most of the government's across the globe are recommending due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of the institutions and students across the globe are badly affected by their academic programs and it is a challenging task for universities to conduct examinations using the traditional methods. Therefore, the students are attending most of their classes using different types of third party applications that are available online. However, to conduct online exams the universities cannot rely on these service providers for a long time. Therefore, in this work, a complete setup of the software tools is provided for the students, which can be used by students at their respective laptops/personal computers with strict guidelines from the university. The proposed approach helps most of the universities in Saudi Arabia to maintain their database of different events/activities of students at the time of E-Exams. This method proved to be more accurate and CNN based detection proved to be more sensitive with an accuracy of 97% to detect any kind of uncertain activity of the students at the time of e-Exam.

  • Mathematics franchise education companies are developing various online learning systems to provide on-off integrated education to learners. Most online learning systems deliver one-way lecture content to learners and perform quantitative problem-solving learning for learning results. However, each learner has different academic achievement competencies, and it is impossible to determine exactly where the level of understanding fell when solving a math method. and based on this, establish an online learning system to discover the weak points of learners and propose an effective learner management method. Through the developed learning method and system, it is expected to cultivate balanced problem-solving ability for learners and provide differentiated brand image and counseling service to franchise companies.

The Influence of Self-Directed Learning and Learning Commitment on Learning Persistence Intention in Online Learning: Mediating Effect of Learning Motivation

  • This is a descriptive investigative study which attempts to confirm the mediating effect of learning motivation in the relationship between self-directed learning, learning commitment, and learning persistence intention of university students in an online learning environment. The questionnaires were randomly distributed online and the agreed questionnaires were retrieved, with a total of 338 copies used for analysis. The following is the summary of the findings. First, there were significant differences in learning persistence intention according to general characteristics depending on age, major, part-time job, and academic level. Second, the results showed a positive correlation between self-directed learning, learning commitment, learning motivation, and learning persistence intentions of the subjects were statistically significant. Third, after checking the mediating effect of learning motivation in relation to self-directed learning, learning commitment and learning motivation, the learning motivation has a partial mediating effect on learning and 23% explanatory power, and the learning commitment was found to have a complete mediating effect on the impact of learning motivation on learning intentions with 21% explanatory power. Based on these results, it is necessary to provide a more diverse educational environment, such as operating a motivation semester program that can improve learning motivations along with learning commitment, and the use of a variety of contents that can focus the learner's interest or attention.

Consumers' Negative Responses to the Communication Failure of Chatbots in Online Fashion Shopping Malls (온라인 패션 쇼핑몰 챗봇의 커뮤니케이션 실패에 대한 소비자의 부정적 반응)

  • This study aims to understand the consumers' negative responses to communication failure of chatbots caused by their imperfections. Specifically, this study examines 1) the relationship among chatbot's communication failure, dissatisfaction, negative behavior (complaint, negative word-of-mouth (nWOM), and inertia); 2) the moderating effect of technostress on the relationship between chatbot's communication failure and dissatisfaction; 3) the differences in the negative responses between the generation MZ and the previous generations. Data were collected via an online survey. First, the participants interacted with the chatbot developed for this survey, to experience the chatbot's communication failure. Thereafter, they responded to a questionnaire. PLS-SEM was conducted using the R software environment to test the hypotheses. This study empirically identified that chatbot's communication failure positively affected dissatisfaction. In addition, the customers who were more dissatisfied with the chatbot's communication failures were more likely to complain than engage in nWOM. Compared to the generation MZ, chatbot's communication failure caused a higher level of dissatisfaction in previous generations. The results suggest that online shopping malls should carefully introduce an improved chatbot service after minimizing its communication failure rate. The chatbot developers of online shopping malls targeting middle-aged and elderly consumers should strive to develop and implement strategies to further alleviate consumers' dissatisfaction in the situation of chatbot's communication failure.

Social Distance of Affective Advice: The Role of Construal Level in Acceptance of Rational and Emotional Advice

  • Social network service provides an excellent platform for people seeking for advices. This research analyzed the effect of rational and emotional response and social distance on people's acceptance for advices online by the construal level theory. An experiment was completed to test the relationship between advisers and questioners and verify the content of online feedback would influence people's acceptance for advices on social network site. The online response included emotional advice and rational advice. Social distance between advisers and questioners was divided to close social distance condition and distant social distance condition. The study showed: (1) comparing with emotional advice, rational advice had a higher persuasive effect in both close and distant social distance conditions; (2) the impact of feedback from people with close social distance was stronger than the impact of the advices from people with distant social distance; (3) there existed an interaction effect between social distance and affective advice. The results revealed that the adviser's affective expression and relationship with the questioner would interactively impact the online persuasive effect.

  • In the knowledge society the main resource is knowledge, and the role of library to manage knowledge and information is very important. Therefore it is necessary to knowledge and information management that provides on demand service to user. The purpose of this research is to design model for web-based help-desk knowledge management system. This study used Qualitative methods as interviews and surveys through BBS and e-mail on information service in the university libraries. Here the investigated component factors are followings Q/A service user's education service to use the library, user's online reference service, e-mail service, FAQ service electronic service(BBS), lecture and research service for faculty, my library, SDI service, and open data service.
