  • The current study aims to examine what determinants have influences on voluntary self-disclosure in the usage of micro-blogging. Even though the usages of micro-blogging have increased at an exponential rate in South Korea, it has been not well understood the process in which people voluntarily disclose their self-information. In this regard, we tried to examine self-disclosure process on micro-blogging based on Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). For this purpose, attitudes towards self-disclosure, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control were set as the antecedents to self-disclosure behavior. The influences of factors including privacy concern, playfulness, informational motivation for social participation, and relational motivation on the attitude were also investigated. The results of an online survey revealed that attitude toward self-disclosure, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control anticipated the self-disclosure behavior at a statistically significant level. The attitude was not influenced by privacy concern, informational and relational motivation, but by playfulness. The implications of these results are also discussed.

  • Extracurricular activities are voluntary participations that students engage in outside of classrooms. This study aimed to determine Korean pharmacy students' degree of involvement in extracurricular activities, motivations behind participation, and influences from those engagements. The study was performed as a voluntary online survey to pharmacy students in four pharmacy schools in Korea and a total of 188 students participated. Sixty-one percent and 34% of students reported that they were involved in at least one extracurricular activities in-school, and out-of-school, respectively. Areas with most involvements were arts/music/sports (73%), followed by volunteer activities (31%). Thirty two percent responded that they have been involved in research internships, followed by 15% and 10% in pharmaceutical company and community pharmacy internships, respectively. For motivations behind involvement, students indicated that their involvement was for hobby (72%) and networking (38%). In conclusion, while Korean pharmacy students actively engage in extracurricular activities, the range of activities was limited in scope, and most students were involved in extracurricular activities as hobbies rather than for career exploration. Opportunities for student involvement in various pharmacy professional organizations and internships in the pharmacy work setting would provide valuable experiences for pharmacy students in their professional development as a pharmacist.

  • Web development and digital technology enable users not only to consume contents but also to produce and share it through using various media. Thus, since personal needs for contents are increased, the interest in environment and technology for creating digital contents is growing. Because of existing digital contents technology such as writing tool or digital storyboard have focused on the individual creation, it is hard to induce participation and collaboration of other users and sharing and reusing contents. Therefore, we suggest a new form of collaborate digital storytelling using the concept of the collective intelligence through contest. Most of all, we develop writing tool and storyboard tool in order to facilitate participants to produce online contents. Also, distinguished from previous contest, this contest considers not only content output but also collaborative process for making it.

  • In order to adapt learners' individual differences in learning ability, individual learning and level-learning have been recommended. However, instructing each student accordingly is not easy issue. In this paper, an online learning support system based on Keller's Personalized System of Instruction theory is developed. As a class-based system, it supports teachers and students to conveniently conduct frequent formative evaluations. • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the perspective of consumers in healthcare services regarding patient safety. Methods: The study was a descriptive study using a self-reported questionnaire. The questionnaire was based on the Senior Empowerment and Advocacy in Patient Safety (SEAPS) questionnaire, which was designed to assess patient safety health beliefs. The survey was conducted online and a convenient sample of 302 adults participated in total. The reliability of the measurement (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) was 0.758 in attitude (ATT), 0.546 in out-come efficacy (OE), 0.757 in self-efficacy (SE), and 0.703 in behaviors (BEH). Results: The average patient safety awareness score of the healthcare service consumers was 2.72 (ATT), 2.91 (OE), 2.87 (SE), and 2.27 (BEH). Our analysis indicated that there were no differences in ATT, BEH, or SE by gender, age, or education level. However, in OE and the total score of the four subscales, there were significant differences by age and gender. Correlations were identified between BEH and SE (r=0.409, p<.01), BEH and OE (r=0.202, p<.01), ATT and SE (r=0.358, p<.01), and OE and SE (r=0.241, p<.01). Conclusion: This study measured consumer perspectives concerning patient safety. The findings demonstrate the need for developing a measurement tool to assess consumer's perception of patient safety, considering Korean healthcare system and cultural context.
