Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate patient safety teaching competency of nursing faculty and the extent of teaching patient safety topics in the nursing curriculum. Methods: A national survey was conducted with full-time nursing faculty in 4-year nursing schools. Regional quota sampling method was used. An online survey was sent to 1,028 nursing faculty and 207 of them were completed. Among the 207, we analyzed data from 184 participants. The revised Health Professional Education in Patient Safety Survey was used. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analyses. Results: The faculty's self-confidence was lower than their perceived importance of patient safety education. The mean score of teaching patient safety was $3.52{\pm}0.67$ out of 5, and the contents were mostly delivered through lectures. The extent of faculty's teaching varied depending on faculty's clinical career, teaching subjects, participation in practicum courses, and previous experience of patient safety education. The significant predictors of the extent of teaching patient safety were the faculty's self-confidence in teaching patient safety (${\beta}=.39$) during clinical practicum, their perceived importance of patient safety education during lectures (${\beta}=.23$), and the teaching subject (${\beta}=.15$). Conclusion: To enhance the competency of nursing faculty for effective patient safety education, a patient safety education program tailored to faculty characteristics should be developed and continuously provided for faculty. In addition, it is necessary to improve patient safety curriculum, strengthen clinical and school linkages, and utilize various education methods in patient safety education.

The relevance of the research involves outlining the need for modern professionals to acquire new competencies. In the conditions of rapid civilizational progress, in order to meet the requirements of the labor market in the knowledge society, there is a readiness for continuous training as an indicator of professional success. The purpose of the research is to identify the impact of various forms of application of information technologies for lifelong learning in order to provide the continuous self-development of each person without cultural or age restrictions and on the basis of rapid digital progress. A high level (96%) of need of the adult population in continuing education with the use of digital technologies has been established. The most effective ways to implement the concept of "lifelong learning" have been identified (educational camps, lifelong learning, mass open online courses, Makerspace activities, portfolio use, use of emoji, casual game, scientific research with iVR game, implementation of digital games, work in scientific cafes). 2 basic objectives of continuing professional education for adults have been outlined (continuous improvement of qualifications and obtaining new qualifications). The features of ICT application in adult education have been investigated by using the following methods, namely: flexibility in terms of easy access to ideas, solving various problems, orientation approach, functional learning, group or individual learning, integration of leisure, personal and professional activities, gamification. The advantages of application of information technologies for continuous education (economic, time, and adaptive) have been revealed. The concept of continuous adult learning in the context of digitalization has been concluded. The research provides a description of the structural principles of the concept of additional education; a system of information requests of the applicant, as well as basic technologies for lifelong learning. The research indicates the lack of comprehensive research in the relevant field. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the obtained results for a wider acquaintance of the adult population with the importance of the application of lifelong learning for professional activities and the introduction of methods for its implementation in the educational policy of the state.

Electronic learning (e-learning) empowers the higher education in providing sustainable instruction during the infrequent circumstance when the wide-spreading disastrous challenge of the COVID-19 results in the closure of various sectors in the society. During this time, e-learning serves the levels of the education sector such as higher education well by delivering and receiving materials from distance with respect to movement restrictions imposed by the government, for example the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia. In this qualitative survey, the existing e-learning challenges and the recommended solutions to the problems from the senior lecturers' perspectives were collected through an online open-ended questionnaire. A number of five senior lecturers out of eight at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) answered the questionnaire. The UTM has been capable of providing e-learning courses for all of its lecturers and students during the closure of higher education institutions owing to the pernicious health conditions stemmed from the crisis of the COVID-19. The major existing challenges found in the e-learning program at the UTM and the suggested solutions to address them are listed and the main themes are illustrated in the word cloud format using the NVivo software. In the end, the conclusion is paragraphed and the future work is proposed. Overall, the purpose of this study is to address the e-learning challenges and to prepare a list of recommendations that can serve as solutions from the standpoint of the UTM senior lecturers during the MCO in Malaysia.

This study explored effective teaching-learning activities under the hybrid teaching model combining flipped learning, direct instruction, cooperative learning and distance learning. Subjects were 99 college students enrolled in 2 teacher preparation courses. Students evaluated effectiveness of 22 teaching-learning activities according to Likert scale at the end of the semester. As a result, all 22 teaching learning activities were considered effective more or less. They facilitated motivation, comprehension, participation, thinking, and led to mastery of the task. ② Activities scored low were 'questioning and answering at the beginning of online class', 'open book test'. ③ Hybrid teaching model was favored over traditional instruction. Open ended responses were consistent with the ones in the questionnaire. This research supports the notion that key teaching models to be combined for successful flipped learning in college setting are direct instruction and cooperative learning. Furthermore, effective and ineffective teaching strategies for flipped learning were found.
Background: Because premed students do not take courses related to medicine during their first 2 years, they cannot establish their identity as students at medical schools, making it difficult for them to set goals as future doctors. We conducted an early clinical and basic laboratory exposure program for premed students and studied the effects of the program and student satisfaction levels. Methods: We performed an early clinical and basic laboratory exposure program for premed students for 2 days and evaluated the effects of the program and student satisfaction with it. The program consisted of two types: type 1, where two to four students formed a group, which was assigned to a particular department to participate and make observations during ward rounds, outpatient clinics, examinations, procedures, and surgeries (in the case of basic laboratory work, the students partook in experimental observations); and type 2, where one student followed a medical school professor to observe the professor's day. After the program ended, an online survey was conducted to investigate the effects on students, their thoughts, and satisfaction levels. Results: In total, 114 students (91.2%) responded to the survey. Approximately 94% of them were satisfied with the program. They found that the program would be useful for deciding on future career paths, gaining knowledge about a department of interest, studying for a medical program after premedical studies, and befriending residents and professors in certain departments. Conclusion: Early clinical and basic laboratory exposure programs are recommended for premedical students.

This study aims to validate a tool evaluating MOOCs for higher education from the perspective of education service. Based on the results of related researches, a potential model for evaluating MOOCs (4 factors and 8 sub-factors) was made. An evaluation tool consisting of 18 survey items was delivered to 138 college students. After data cleaning, 136 surveys were used for exploratory factor analysis (principal component analysis. varimax rotation) and reliability analysis that confirmed the fitness of the potential model. Four exploratory constructs and seven sub-factors were extracted: Factor I was labeled as 'Systemic Learning Experience,' Factor II, 'Value Experience,' Factor III, 'Co-creation of Value Experience,' and Factor IV, 'High Order Learning Experience.' Reliability estimates using Cronbach's alpha indicated that the evaluation tool had good internal consistency. In conclusion, the evaluation tool for MOOCs in higher education was proven to be valid and reliable.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the level of communication ability between paramedic students and patients in clinical practice. In addition, it was performed to produce essential data contributing to the qualitative improvement of communication ability. Methods: Data were collected from paramedic students with clinical experience after they provided online consent. Data collection was performed from June 3 to July 12, 2022. One hundred forty-seven questionnaires with 92 items were analyzed using SPSS statistics 28.0. Results: 57.1% of students took communication as a subject despite 92.5% of respondents saying that communication education is necessary for them. The average level of participant communication ability was 4.60 (±1.05) points (measured on a 7-point Likert scale). Among the subdivided communication ability levels, the highest level was demonstrated in the physical examination-related interview (5.36±0.96), and the lowest was shown in the completion part (3.93±1.51). Furthermore, a statistically significant difference was found in communication ability level according to school grade (F=4.709, p=.000). The highest correlation (r=.972, p<.001) was obtained between total communication ability and understanding the patient's point of view. Conclusion: Paramedic students should improve their communication skills to serve patients more effectively. Finally, more educational content should be developed on field-based situations in communication courses.

This study examined whether K-pop dance is qualified as an academic subject and how university students perceive K-pop dance as a liberal art subject. The survey was conducted with 138 students. Among the total of 138, 40 participants were male, and 53 participants were female. Fourteen(14) participants had experience with K-pop classes, and 124 participants did not have any experience with K-pop dance classes. According to the study, K-pop is a form of Korean culture that adds unique cultural and social characteristics to Koreans. It is in the cultural and art education category. In addition, K-pop dance is a socio-cultural phenomenon characterized by dance. However, K-pop dance is not qualified as an academic subject because it lacks theoretical foundations. The survey result also revealed that the students did not perceive that K-pop dance had personal, aesthetic, social, or educational value. They did not want to take a class if K-pop dance is offered as an academic subject in liberal art class. When analyzing the data by gender and experiences with dance classes, there was a difference based on gender in the two questions. In the case of females, they responded to having fun and joy from K-pop dance, while male respondents did not. Regarding the learners' interest in Kpop dance class, female respondents were more optimistic about the learner interest than male respondents. In conclusion, K-pop dance is a sociocultural phenomenon, and many informal online courses are created daily, spreading everywhere. However, the status of K-pop dance as an academic area is not set up yet.
The purpose of this study is to improve the curriculum to revitalize beauty tourism by analyzing the difference in importance and satisfaction of the beauty tourism curriculum. And online and offline surveys were conducted for workers in the beauty tourism industry, and IPA analysis was conducted using 208 valid samples. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a difference in the importance and satisfaction of all educational contents. And than, it was found that there were no educational contents that needed improvement, and the training courses that required continuous maintenance were field practice, major practice, service and manners, customer consultation, customer management, marketing, and interpersonal relationships. Education content with low priority was found to be foreign languages, multicultural understanding, tourism, and beauty management. Based on the results, directions for improving the curriculum for revitalizing beauty tourism were suggested.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the curricula of counseling-related departments in 35 offline colleges and 20 cyber colleges to analyze improvement points and development directions. Curriculum was analyzed with educational goals, open subjects, practice, and operation process. As a result of the study, the terms 'professional counselor, psychologist, and professional counselor' were used the most frequently in the educational goals of the department using the term 'counseling'. In the subjects, the most frequently opened courses were in the first year in counseling basics, in the second year in counseling theory and technique, in the third in psychological evaluation, in the second in statistics and research, and in the fourth in counseling practice. Counseling theory and practice, counseling process and interview technique are operated in the lower grades, and counseling practice, supervision, counseling practice and case study, and domestic and foreign internships were mostly operated in the fourth grade. Based on the above, we will discuss the improvement points and development direction of the curriculum of departments that use the term 'consultation' in offline and online universities.
