  • Usually marine traffic survey has been conducted by some methods like an ocular observation using portable RADAR, a questionnaire, etc. But these should have expended a lot of manpower and expenses. In this paper, we have developed new observation module which could capture the RADAR image using PC camera simply, and allowed as to track targets on the PC monitor directly. And it has been programmed to make a database of RADAR image, target's track and information, and analyze the marine traffic tendency in various ways like vessel number crossed over gate line, vessel's velocity distribution in gate line, traffic density distribution, etc. We have confirmed that this module could observe and analyze the marine traffic efficiently and economically through several on-the-spot experiments.

  • This study investigates preferred bicycle wear designs that can satisfy active senior consumers. A survey was conducted on 50-60's women who periodically rode bicycles. The results indicated a preference for slim designs and red colors. Jacket designs preferences were for a tight fit for size tolerance, stand collar style, and elastic band details for cuff styles. Pants design preferences were for a whole band waist belt type with a tight fit style such as leggings in pants silhouette, zipper details on the side line and ankle length. They also preferred styles with pads attached to underpants in the pad style and the part of the back waist in the pocket position. The survey showed four kinds of jacket design drawings on an ordinal scale rating. Results indicated a preference for set-in variation jackets with the red and gray color combination. Finally, we demonstrated bicycle wear design suggestions. The jacket applied different armhole line colors connected to the sleeve to make the waist slimmer; in addition, stretchable material helped improve armpit part functionality.

  • This paper aimed at the development of face covers which is face protection articles for blocking UV rays and yellow sands, with a view to assist the further activation of outdoor life. The four-stage design process of field study, design, design evaluation, final selection of designs was set up for the effective product development. Field study included on-line and off-line market survey on the products for sale in market and observation on those wearing face covers. Depth interviews were done to know consumer understandings and satisfaction levels for current face covers. The results of market survey showed that most of the face covers currently in the market were mask types, which were produced for the blocking of dust and yellow sands rather than UV ray protection. The major clients of the mask were the women in their 30's-50's and the designs for these clients were very limited. Since the number of younger women and men enjoy the outdoor sports has increased, the face covers for these people should be developed. For this purpose, the direction of new face cover design had 2 points: diversification of design in terms of color, material, shape and giving seasonal differences. 12 designs were designed on the first design stage, but after both wearing test by 16 testees and UV ray blocking test to evaluate these designs, 6 face cover designs were finally selected.

  • This study was attempted to analyze risk factors and suggest accident prevention in live line works for power transmission lines to be developed and applied in Korea. Safety problem cannot but occur at development of live line works and application to the field. With respect to this, problems likely to occur in the field among works adopting methods of works including live line works for power transmission lines were investigated and analyzed through documentary survey and risk assessment method. The results are summarized as follows. A risk assessment method model was suggested. This method enables scientific and systematic development of safety control. That is, the owner may autonomously induce safety control and build risk assessment database by work process to use them as best training data for workers. Also, in the field, it may induce all workers to participate in safety program and secure safety by making workers seek for safety working method under smooth flow from looking at risk factors to accident prevention activities. It is deemed that this humble study will prevent both accident and injury likely to occur in live line works for power transmission lines.

  • The 22 m diameter Mopra telescope in Australia is being used to undertake an improved survey of the CO J = 1-0 line at 3mm along the 4th quadrant of the Galaxy, achieving an order of magnitude better spatial and spectral resolution (i.e. 0.6 and 0.1 km/s) than the Dame et al. (2001) survey that is publically available for the Southern Galactic plane. Furthermore, the Mopra CO survey includes the four principal isotopologues of the CO molecule (i.e. $^{12}CO$, $^{13}CO$, $C^{18}O$ and $C^{17}O$). The survey makes use of an 8 GHz-wide spectrometer and a fast mode of on-the-fly mapping developed for the Mopra telescope, where the cycle time has been reduced to just 1/4 of a second. 38 square degrees of the Galaxy, from $l=306-344^{\circ}$, $b=0{\pm}5^{\circ}$ have currently been surveyed, together with additional 9 sq. deg. regions around the Carina complex and the Central Molecular Zone. We present new results from the survey (see also Burton et al., 2013, 2014). The Mopra CO data are being made publically available as they are published; for the latest release see the project website at www.phys.unsw.edu.au/mopraco.

  • Normal Operation Safety Survey (NOSS) is a safety management tool used by air traffic control organizations to measure data related to threats and errors to proactively prevent accidents before they occur. NOSS was developed to be applied to the air traffic control field according to the concept of Line Operation Safety Audit (LOSA) conducted by airlines to reduce human errors in the cockpits. Safety management based on data is crucial for the prevention of control-related accidents, and the competency of observers for this is important for the successful implementation of NOSS. Based on LOSA implementation experiences and expert interviews, this paper introduces the international NOSS methods and discusses the key factors required for effective observation and the implementation methods and implications of NOSS observer training.

  • Gyeongsang Basin in the southeastern part of the Korean peninsular is characterized by many fault systems. To decipher the geotectonical evolution of the Korean peninsular and marginal basins in her adjacent areas it is prerequisite to understand the spatial distribution pattern and mutual relationships of these fault systems. Because of difficulties in finding any criterion to recognize the faults in field, their extension and mutual relationships in ages are not very clear yet. As an attempt to find geophysical criteria to recognize the fault, geoelectrical resistivity survey was carried out in this study. With the Wenner configuration four resistivity soundings and twenty seven resistivity profilings were done. The electrode distance used was up to 50m. From the results of the resistivity soundings and boring data of earlier groundwater investigations the depth of alluvial and weathered zone was established to be at most 20m in the study area. In the resistivity profiling low resistivity anomaly zones are detected on every traverse, which are interpreted as caused by fractures, fault clays and mylonites in the fault zone. The width of the fault zone amounts to 0.3-1km. By correlating and connecting the negative anomaly zones from traverse to traverse one can determine the trend of th of the faultzone and therefore that of fault itself. The recognized fault trend in this way was $N15^{\circ}-20^{\circ}E$ and this coincides with the direction of the inferred fault line from earlier geological surface mapping. With the help of this characteristical negative anomaly the existance of another $N80^{\circ}W$ trending fault was estabished. This study has shown that geoelectrical resistivity survey can be applied successfully to the problem of tracing fault line insofar as a fault zone has been developed along fault line.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop security subjects that require engineering security knowledge. In particular, Engineering knowledge is required to perform security tasks such as smart factory security. However, although there are similar specialties such as mechanical security instructors, industrial security managers, and industrial security specialists(CPP), they are not based on engineering knowledge. Accordingly, Delphi analysis through expert interviews was used to derive a job analysis of security engineering. And I was able to sort out the necessary knowledge. Research Results 1-Line Security for Perimeter Security Architectural Structure, Architectural Dynamics, Including Septed, Control instrumentation including smart factory security for building security with 2-Line security, With 3-Line security, it was divided into ergonomics and mechanical expenses for indoor security. As a result of the survey, by age, those in their 30s showed the highest response with 75.8%, and by job, industrial security officers with 76.4%. This could be seen as a desire for a environmental security engineering certificate by practitioners in the industrial security field.
