Toward precise and accurate modeling of matter clustering in redshift space

  • This dissertation presents the results on two-dimensional Redshift space distortion (hereafter RSD) analyses of the large-scale structure of the universe using spectroscopic data and on improvement of modeling of the RSD effect. RSD is an effect caused by galaxies' peculiar velocity on their clustering feature in observation along the line of sight and is thus intimately connected to the growth rate of the structure in the universe, from which we can test the origin of cosmic acceleration and Einstein's theory of gravity at cosmic scales in the end. However, there are several challenges in modeling precise and accurate RSD effect, such as non-linearities and the existence of an exotic component, e.g. massive neutrino. As part of endeavors for modeling more precise and accurate galaxy clustering in redshift space, this dissertation includes a series of works for this issue.   • 본 논문에서는 퍼지 모델의 온라인 동정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 고려하는 퍼지 모델은 후건부가 싱글톤인 퍼지 시스템으로 퍼지 기저함수의 선형 합으로 표현된다. 온라인 동정을 위해서 제곱 코사인 소속함수를 제안한다. 제곱 코사인 함수는 다른 소속함수에 비해 적은 파라미터를 갖으며 전 구간에서 미분 가능한 특징을 갖는다. 퍼지 모델의 파라미터는 그레디언트 하강법과 확장칼만필터를 이용하여 온라인으로 결정한다. 끝으로 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법의 타당성을 확인한다.

철도 부하의 이동성을 반영한 변전소 정태부하모델링 수립에 대한 연구 (A Study on a Substation Static Load Model Including the Mobility of a Railway Load)

  • Nowadays, it is expected that mobility loads such as electric railways and electric vehicles will be penetrated gradually and affect on the power system stability by their load characteristics. Various researches have been carried out about electric vehicles for the recent decade though the load of electric railway could be forecasted because of the specified path and timetable, is a field with a long historic background. Some precise 5th polynomial equations are required to analyze the power system stability considering mobility load to be increased in the immediate future while the electric railway dispatching simulator uses load models with constant power and constant impedance for the system analysis. In this paper, seasonal urban railway load models are established as the form of 5th polynomial equations and substation load modeling methods are proposed merging railway station load models and general load models. Additionally, load management effects by the load modeling are confirmed through the case studies, in which seasonal load models are developed for Seoul Subway Line No. 2, Gyeongui Line and Airport Railroad and the substation load change is analyzed according to the railway load change.

  • 본 연구에서는 산업 현장에 쉽게 적용할 수 있도록 측정과 설치가 용이한 용접 모재간에 가해지는 전압(weld voltage)파형에서 용접 변수를 구하고, 실험으로 구한 용접 강도와의 상관 관계로부터, 점용접 품질 감시체제를 개발하고자 한다. 전압 파형에서 용접 변수를 구하기 위하여 추계 모델링 기법을 적용하고, 구해진 모 델로부터 분산 해석(dispersion analysis)을 통하여 용접 변수를 찾으며, 동시에 전극 변위 곡선을 실험적으로 구하여서, 분산 해석 방법의 신뢰도를 검사 하고자 한다.

  • In spite of rapidly increasing interests in digital manufacturing, there still lacks of a systematic approach in manufacturing line flow analysis via modeling and simulation; currently, the parameters for designing manufacturing line are defined by being solely based on engineers experiences. The paper proposes an application of the genetic algorithm to a discrete event line simulation finding optimal set of parameters for manufacturing line balancing problem. The proposed method has been applied to two example problems-one is a simple manufacturing model and the other for shipyard industry-in order to demonstrate its validity and usefulness.

  • We propose a new technique to design an unmaned integrating control system based-on Windows XP version off-Line Programming System which can simulate a dynamic model of robot manipulator in three dimensions graphics space in this paper. The robot with 4 and 6 axes modeled SM5 and AM1 respectively were adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed off-line program. The interface between users and the off$.$line programming system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for three dimensions graphics.

Phase Shift Analysis and Phase Identification for Distribution System with 3-Phase Unbalanced Constant Current Loads

  • Power grids are large complicated networks in use around. An absolute phase value for a particular unknown-phase line at a local site should be identified for the operation and management of a 3-phase distribution network. The phase shift for a specific point in the line, as compared with a phase reference point at a substation, must be within a range of ${\pm}60^{\circ}$ for correct identification. However, the phase shift at a particular point can fluctuate depending on the line constants, transformer wiring method, line length, and line amperage, etc. Conducted in this study is a theoretical formulation for the determination of phase at a specific point in the line, Simulink modeling, and analysis for a distribution network. In particular, through evaluating the effects of unbalanced current loads, the limitations of the present phase identification methods are described.

  • 전자 산업에서의 소형화와 디지털화에 따라 적층 세라믹 커패시터(Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitors: MLCC) 또한 DC Blocking, 디커플링, 필터링 등의 기능이 이에 부응하여 그 수요가 꾸준히 증가해왔다. 이에 따라 MLCC의 등가회로를 모델링하는 기법이 많이 연구되었는데, 지금까지의 연구를 살펴보면 대부분이 소자의 주파수 특성을 측정한 후, 그 결과를 바탕으로 소자를 모델링하므로 제작 과정과 측정 과정에서 물질적, 시간적 손실을 수반한다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 본 논문에서는 구조 정보와 물질 정보로부터 설계단계에서 MLCC의 임피던스 특성을 예측할 수 있는 모델링 방법을 제시한다. 미분 방정식으로 표현되는 결합 전송선로 방정식으로부터 임의의 N개 층을 가지는 다층 평판 커패시터(N-Layer Capacitor)의 임피던스를 구조 정보와 물질 정보의 수식으로 표현할 수 있음을 보였다. 이렇게 정의된 임피던스 수식으로부터 임의의 구조 정보와 물질 정보를 가지는 MLCC의 임피던스를 예측하였으며, EM 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다. 그 결과, 제시한 임피던스 예측 모델링 결과와 측정 결과가 잘 일치하였고, EM 시뮬레이션보다 훨씬 빠르게 예측 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 보였다.

  • Generally, over 95% of manufacturing cost is determined in the design and manufacturing preparation step, especially a great part of productivity is determined in the manufacturing preparation step. In order to improve the manufacturing competitiveness, we have to verify the problems that can be occurred in the production step and remove the unnecessary factors in the manufacturing preparation step. Thus, manufacturing industries are adopting digital manufacturing system based on modeling & simulation. In this paper, we introduce e-FEED system (electronic based Front End Engineering and Design) that is the integrated design and analysis system for optimized manufacturing line development based on simulation automation and explain the work process (Design, Analysis and Optimization) about manufacturing line development using e-FEED system. Also, the effect is described through the real implementation cases.

  • The systematic management of technology infrastructure increasingly becomes critical as it represents the driving power for creating competitive advantage of nations and enterprises. In this sense, public facility and equipment, which is one major asset of technology infrastructure, should be managed effectively, systematically and efficiently to increase its overall equipment effectiveness. However, the manual and off-line communication was the unique way to communicate between the suppliers who provide facilities in the public sector and the customers who utilize the facilities in the industrial sector. This communication way caused invisibility of available usage time and increase of idle time, thereby decreasing the equipment effectiveness. This paper presents an web-based scheduling system that enables real-time collaboration and information sharing for increasing the equipment effectiveness. The designed system performs scheduling, facility management, order management and customer relationship management in an on-line platform, and carries out the processing and storing of relevant information in an integrated database. The paper includes a development approach to identify business process models and standardized system models by using object-modeling technique. The deliverable of the present work will contribute to increasing the equipment effectiveness by enhancing visibility, transparency and predictability by means of the integration with a legacy Enterprise Resource Planning.
