Basic Study on the Generation of Maritime Traffic Information (해상교통정보 생성에 관한 기초 연구)

  • 선박과 선박간의 사고 위험도를 예측하는 교통정보 생성 기술을 해상교통관제센터에 적용하기에는 위험도 정보의 정확성에 한계가 있다. 또한 대상 해역에 대한 교통 패턴을 파악하는 밀집도 및 혼잡도와 같은 교통정보 생성 기술은 위험 우선순위 선박을 도출하는 것이 불가능하다. 복잡한 교통 패턴을 보이는 해상교통관제 해역에서 위험 선박을 인지하여 관제사의 관제 업무를 지원하기 위해서는 새로운 접근이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 관제대상해역의 교통 상황을 총체적으로 파악하고 위험 선박을 사전에 인지할 수 있는 교통정보 생성을 위해서 기계학습 기법을 검토하였으며, 기존의 인공지능 한계를 극복하기 위한 딥러닝 프레임워크 도입을 검토하였다. 해상교통관제센터의 이미지, 메시지, 음성 등 다양한 형태의 연속적 자료들을 통합하고 이를 토대로 총체적인 분석을 통해 관제 업무를 지원할 수 있는 교통 상황 인지 정보를 생성할 수 있을 것으로 파악되었다. 빅데이터 기반의 기계학습은 보다 의미 있는 상황 인지 정보를 생성할 수 있기 때문에 이를 위한 관제 센터의 각종 데이터 통합이 필요하다.

A Study on the Characteristics of Water Quality in the Jinhae Bay (진해만해역의 수질환경특성에 관한 연구)

  • Through spot-investigation and observation of water quality environment of Jinhae Bay, this conducts the sea movement simulation on the current water quality of Jinhae Bay, grasps the flowing characteristics of Jinhae Bay and carries out ocean pollution simulation by using the data collected. Sea movement simulation results are tested by using Ocean Investigation Bureau's data of tide and current, and are also used in the ocean pollution spreading simulation. Water quality spreading simulation is conducted by using the data of sea movement and data of observation and then the results are compared with data of spot investigation. COD condensity is calculated and the water quality characteristics of Jinhae Bay are grasped.

A Study on the Users' Awareness of Waterfront in Busan Area - Focusing on Haeundae & Jagalchi - (부산지역 워터프런트 공간에 있어서 수변공간의식에 대한 연구 ~해운대와 자갈치를 대상으로~)

  • Based on a survey for Haeundae and Jagalchi, representative waterfronts in Busan, this study examined the users' awareness of waterfront employing human's five senses. The results show that 81.5 %(163 respondents) of users in Haeundae responded "They feel sea breeze" whereas 55.8 %(111 respondents) of users in Jagalchi responded "They can eat seafood".

  • In this study, the nonlinear mathematical model of Manta type UUV is derived the hydrodynamic derivatives and the sliding mode controller of Manta type UUV test bed is designed. The sliding mode control scheme is used for robust control on the nonlinear motion. The designed controller is used the depth and heading control. It is based on the 6 DOF mathematical model with effect of the ocean currents. As a result, the performance of the designed controller is confirmed by computer simulation.

  • 화물량이나 해상관광객 유입 확대 등 항만수요의 증가에 따른 대응으로 항만을 확장하거나 신규항만을 계획하게 된다. 우리나라 어항의 경우 경관이 수려하고 청정지역으로 분류되어 개발여지가 크다. 이중 감포항의 경우도 해상을 통한 연안 화물의 운송확장과 어항의 기능에서 연안항의 여건을 갖추고 경주와 연계한 해양 관광벨트를 구성하여 친수공간 조성, 송대말 등대 컨텐츠 사업 등 해양관광의 거점으로 도약하기 위한 집중개발을 추진 중에 있어서 종합적인 관점에서 항만확장을 검토할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 추진 중인 항만확장과 관련하여 남측 및 동측의 항만확장안에 대해 선박의 통항안전 및 계류한계파고에 대한 항만 정온도 여부를 제 3세대 수치파랑 모형인 SWAN모형과 강비선형 Boussinesq 방정식을 적용한 불규칙파 Bouss-2D 모형을 적용하여 모형간 특성을 도출한 후 현재안과 각 대안별로 파랑반응특성을 비교분석하였다. 이에 대한 결과는 각 대안별로 장래 항만확장에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Occurrence Characteristics of Marine Accidents Caused by Typhoon around Korean Peninsula

  • During the period of every summer to early autumn seasons, ships have been wrecked or grounded from effect of a typhoon in the waters around Korean Peninsular. Typhoon Rusa killed more than 100 people in September 2002. Super Typhoon Maemi passed southeast of South Korea in September 12-13, 2003, with gale winds blowing at a record 60 m/s and caused much ship groundings, collisions and sinkings over 3000 in dockyards, harbors and places of refuge. These are things that could have been prevented had there merely been prior warning. The aim of this study is to examine what effect these typhoons had on occurrence characteristics of the maritime accidents in South Korea. In this work, records of marine accidents caused by a typhoon are investigated for the period from 1962 to 2002. The distribution is also compared with the trajectories of typhoons, passed during the 1990-2003. It is shown that attack frequency of typhoon and number of marine accidents is the highest in August. We use the track data of Maemi such as central pressure, maximum sustained wind speed and area of each 15m/s and 25m/s winds as a case study to draw a map as a risk index.

  • The importance of utilization of ocean space is increased due to high population and narrow land space. The development of a new technology for future use of ocean space, such as a design technology of Very Large Floating Structures(VLFS) is needed. This paper introduces the rime history analysis of superstructures on very large floating structures and proposes the estimation method of time displacement history considering wave loads. The dynamic responses of superstructure according to variation of period and amplitude are analysed using an example frame structure and the dynamic structural safety of VLFS pilot superstructure is evaluated.

Marina Development Impact on the Tranquility of Small Coast Harbor

  • Due to the increased demand for safety and security requirements on the port infrastructure, the harbor tranquility is one of the important parameter in the mooring basin of harbor. It relates keenly to berthing/unberthing and cargo handling works but also it is an important indicator to get the minimum water area as the safe refuge. Hupo harbor is a national coastal harbor located in east coast of Korea and a development plan for a new marina near the entrance is being carried out including berth layouts, breakwater extensions, 300m marina berths, dredging and land reclamation works. The new plan will impact on calmness of the existing port. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze in complex the variation of wave height and direction caused by wave refraction, diffraction, shoaling and reflection from the incident waves from outside the harbor. In order to check the calmness inside a harbor, the numerical models are being used currently need fundamental reviews according to the difference of results which depend on their respective features. In this study, hence, it was introduced the validity of numerical models by comparing the computational results with the hydraulic model experiment. The current investigations contribute to the existing development recommendations and provide further solutions for port planning.

  • It It is not easy to reduce the operation costs at a time when it is hard to expect increase sales due to growing economic uncertainties. For logistics centers, which need to keeps their competitive advantage in the market by raising service levels at low cost, it is essential to drastically improve service levels at low cost. This study suggests that KPI (Key Performance Indicator) analysis should determine whether efficient logistics operation is being performed for the entire process of the logistics operation system. And also we suggests that each item should be set up, measured, and improved so that customer satisfaction can be increased based on performance indicators.

  • 본 논문은 해양공간계획법에 근거한 해양에서의 다양한 용도 경합이 예상되는 울산 부유식 해상풍력발전단지 조성사업에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 해양공간계획법에 따르면 다양한 용도가 중첩되는 경우, 자연환경, 사회경제적 여건 및 주변 해역의 이용 및 보전 현황 등을 고려하여 관리의 우선순위를 정해야 한다. 이에, 해상풍력발전단지 설립에 따른 해양환경 및 천연자원 영향성 평가의 경제적 피해액을 추정한다. 이는 해양공간계획 시, 용도지정 우선순위를 정할 때 객관적 자료가 될 수 있고, 나아가 효율적인 풍력발전단지 운영을 위한 기초 자료가 될 것이다.
