Experimental study on Green Water in Regular Waves

  • FPSOs are commonly proposed and used for offshore oil production. Due to the fundamental requirement of FPSOs to remain moored at their location, they are unable to avoid severe weather. FPSOs normally operate head to the weather, and sensitive equipment located near the bow will be susceptible to green water damage. Damage may occur to both equipment and superstructure, with resulting risk to personnel. To initially access green water is allowed by the physical understanding of green water events. In this paper the main focus is put on the physical phenomena of green water accounted for with the tested data in regular waves.

  • 현대 기술의 발전에 따라 다양한 항해 장비들이 개발되고 있으나, 인적 오류에 의한 해양사고는 지속적으로 발생하고 있다. 인적 오류에 의한 해양사고는 항해사의 상황 인지오류 또는 현상 착각 등 많은 상황에서 일어나고 있다. 선교에는 각종 항해 장비로부터 나오는 많은 물리적 음향 신호들이 존재하며, 위험을 전파하는 경보음은 항해사에게 위험상황을 정확하게 전달하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 경보음을 항해사가 직관적으로 인지할 수 있는 선교경보관리시스템의 경보음 개발을 위한 연구를 실시하였다. 연구를 위해 기존에 선교에서 사용하는 경보음에 대해 음향학적 분석을 수행하였으며, 음성 경보음과 청각아이콘을 활용한 경보음 개발에 대한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 그리고 현재 해양연구원에서 제작한 선교경보관리시스템(BAMS)을 간략히 소개하고자 한다.

  • In the present study analysed the physico chemical properties and distribution of heavy metal and also analysed the changes of heavy metal distribution by resuspension and properties of heavy metal release into sea water. From the experimental result showed sediment resuspension plays an important role in the release of heavy metals in coastal environment. Heavy metal release percentage was high in different mixing time of resuspension and different amounts of sediment due to resuspension of particulate matter.

  • 우리나라에서는 1995년 5월 서해권 DGPS 보정정보 전송 서비스를 시작으로 NDGPS 기준국망 구축을 완료하고, 선박의 안전한 항행을 위해 실시간 DGPS 보정정보를 국내 연안과 도서지역에 송신하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NDGPS와 유사한 보정정보 서비스로서 우리나라에서도 수신이 가능한 일본의 위성기반 보정위성항법체계인 MSAS와 현재 우리나라에서 VHF 대역으로 서비스하고 있는 NDGPS 의 성능을 항해장비 이용 관점에서 비교분석한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 NDGPS 기준국과 이용자 사이의 기저거리를 기준으로 보정정보 도달시간과 수평측위 정확도를 측정한다. 그리고, NDGPS 와 MSAS 간의 성능차이와 항해장비용 보정시스템으로서 MSAS 적용 가능성에 대한 분석결과를 보인다.

  • The variety of organic and inorganic pollutants are introduced to coastal sediment and making highly contaminated due to rapid development of industralization and economic development. Numerous contaminants are release into marine sediment and it significantly affect marine aquatic environment. In the present study stated the optimize the biostimulant ball (BSB) in coastal sedimentand stabilse the heavy metals present in the sediment. The effective variables like BSB size, distance and month variables on Cu stabilization was determined by using Response surface methodology(RSM). The analysis of variance (ANOVA) and coefficient determination (R2) of Cu reduction 0.9610 and maximum stabilisation was obtained in 3cm ball size and 5.5cm distance and 4 month interval time. This result revealed that the BSB in effective for Cu reduction in coastal sediment.

  • The effect of the submerged high speed vessel on the ocean wave is made clear in the point of hydrodynamics view. In connection to the design of high speed ship, the flow analysis is carried out to predict the pressure distribution for drag and lift. The purpose of the research is to help the preliminary design of the economic hull form advancing under the ocean wave by estimating the resistance performance and the wave behaviour. In the present study, more efficient numerical approaches are investigated for the viscous flow analysis around a submerged NACA0012 hydrofoil with the laminar and incompressible fluid. Through the numerical simulation, it is found that the new numerical method becomes more efficient primarily due to the fact that the wave elevation is reasonably developed.

  • This study is about the development of emergency response guidance by safety index of seakeeping performance which is based on emergency response procedures in the ship through HAZID. These emergency response guidances will contribute to respond ship's abnormal conditions related to seakeeping performance effectively and efficiently to reduce marine accidents.
