병원 옥상정원의 이용후 평가 - 서울아산병원을 대상으로 - (The Post-occupancy Evaluation of Roofgarden at Hospital - A Case Study of Asan Medical Center -)

  • Rooftop greenery has been used as a way to solve urban environmental problems by creating green space in densely populated cities. This study was carried out to suggest more effective designs for roof-garden at hospitals through a post-occupancy evaluation. The roofgarden of Asan Medical Center was evaluated with regards to setting, proximate environmental context, users, and design activity by a multi-method including plan investigations, observations, in-depth interviews and questionnaires. The results are summarized as follows; the users' main activities included resting, walking, and talking. A number of users were observed at shaded spaces sitting on such things as benches, pergolas, and shelters. The satisfaction of the users showed high satisfaction level except in the amount of shade, facilities, and shelter. The variables affecting a overall satisfaction were ‘accessibility’, ‘safety’, ‘quality of surroundings’, and ‘suitability for speculation’. By comparing the design concept with using pattern, designer's intention was not reflected sufficiently in several aspects such as ‘event deck for therapy programs’, ‘grove and path’, and ‘low planters’. This study suggests some design implications; it is necessary to furnish shaded sitting places for passive behaviors and pathways for walking or a light exercise. A wind-break wall with glass windows could widen the users' views in a limited space. Natural shade like tree shade or pergola are more desirable than artificial shades. As for the vertical location of the roofgarden, the middle floor could be better than top area for accessibility. Characteristics of building and users should be considered in detail to provide distinct spaces. Proper technical standards for the greening of artificial ground should be established.

한국과 일본의 가구형 집합주택의 거주후평가 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Block Housing of Korea and Japan by Post Occupancy Evaluation)

  • In modern Asia major cities had same problem with lack of affordable housing for families. So they had to concentrate to the mass supply of housing and made some physical counter effects like high density of cities, limitation of parking space. Also people who lived in those cities could suffer from broken traditional community culture. To rebuild traditional community and increase land usage, Block housing is suggested as a new kind of multi-family housing for old town redevelopment. Now some governments are trying to make urban code to give some initiative for new block housing development in old city blocks. They expect this new housing type can help to solve serious problems like lack of parking area, green space and context of block. Also they hope that block housing development can help to increase safety of town and reduce cost of development. The purpose of this study is to review the establishment and development process of Block Housing and to confirm the aspect which has been changed with urban organization together. Also this study tried to find out the intentional characteristics of similarities and differences with comparison of Korea and Japan. And as a result we could find critical physical viewpoint, and provide considerations for future study and plan. Several cases of block housing in Korea and Japan were reviewed for comparative study and Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) survey was examined to find satisfaction factors and problems which were expected to improved.

협소 거주공간 재실자 특성 및 화재위험성 분석 (Analysis on The Characteristics of Occupancy Prediction and The Fire Hazard in Narrow Dwelling Space)

  • 본 연구에서는 협소거주공간에 대해 이해하고 대표적인 협소 거주공간인 고시원, 노래방 등에 대한 설문 및 실태조사와 과거 관련 사고사례 조사 및 분석을 통해 협소 거주공간의 화재 위험 특성을 분석하였다. 고시원과 노래방은 업종 특성상 구획된 실의 밀폐되고 복잡한 통로 구조를 가지고 있다. 또한 노래방의 경우 지하층에 위치하여 있어 화재 발생 시 환기 및 배연이 잘 이루어지지 않고 피난로가 복잡하여 제한적인 구조를 가지고 있다. 특히 고시원은 독립적이고 폐쇄적인 공간적 특성을 가지고 있어 화재 진압에 큰 어려움을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 협소 거주공간의 구조물 특성에 적합한 소방설비의 설치와 특수한 구조적 형태 및 환경에 적합한 특수 장비(화원 탐지, 요구조자 구조 등) 및 화재 진압 전술에 대한 연구개발이 요구된다.

거주성지표에 따른 아파트와 오피스텔 거주자의 거주후 평가 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Post-Occupancy-Evaluation (POE) of Apartment and Officetel Based on Habitability Indicators)

  • Recently, in Korea, single- or two-person households (50.5%) are becoming the primary family type due to increasing divorce rates, population aging, personal code of values and so on. Hence, small families will lead to a sudden increase of single- or two-person households. People searching for small houses are increasing because of the provision of officetels, one room and urban-life housing as well as economic recession. However, this has led to habitability problems, such as parking, storage space and decline in safety. In this study, we obtain the proper contents from LQI indicators of advanced research and use the indicators to evaluate the residential environment quality. We conduct a post-occupancy-evaluation (POE) survey and compare the habitability satisfaction level of apartment and officetel residents. According to the survey, officetel residents' satisfaction levels are low for the following factors in the order listed: ventilation, storage space, management expenses and facilities for children and the elderly.

보차혼합도로에서 시공간노출량 지표에 관한 연구 (A Study on Time-Space Occupancy Exposure volume Index for the Mixed Traffic Streets)

  • 본 연구에서는 시공간점유량을 이용하여 기존의 평가지표보다 더욱 합리적으로 보행자의 안전성 평가가 가능한 새로운 지표의 개발을 시도한다. 기존연구에서 자동차 교통량에 보행자 교통량을 곱하여 보차교착도라고 부르고 있고, 이것은 주민의 안전감과 밀접한 상관이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그러나 보차교착도에는 자동차의 속도개념이 누락되어 있으며, 통상 자동차의 속도와 안전감과 상관이 높은 것을 볼 때 아직 불충분한 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시공간점유량이라는 개념을 이용하여 시공간노출량이라는 새로운 개념을 만들어내며 서울의 41개의 보차혼합공간에서 조사된 실제 데이터를 갖고 분석해본다.

중형 임대아파트 거주자의 거주 후 평가 (Tenants' Post Occupancy Evaluation in the Mid-sized Rental Apartment)

  • This study analyzes relevant data based on the mid-sized rental unit. It focuses on how we can set up appropriate mid-sized rental unit plan as its supply has been accelerated over time. The questionnaires used in this study cover a series of categories including site environment, unit plan, neighborhood, economy, and management. The 342 respondents are from the 3-year old apartments at Cheongju. The key findings are as follows. 1) As the average indices including number of family, life cycle, and income under the survey are different in terms of the rental unit sizes between 20 and 30 pyeongs. 2) In general, residents present comparatively high level of satisfaction in terms of residential environments. Their evaluation on the site environment unit plan, and neighborhood is around the average. In contrast, the economic and management efficiency categories are under the average. This study suggests residential guidelines should be derived from tenant differentiation policies dealing with diverse socio-demographic characteristics and satisfaction level. 3) In terms of improvement priority, residents present, higher preference on the management system and site environment. This study advises to establish an appropriate alternative to guarantee effective tenant participation. Considering the lower satisfaction level in the green space, common facilities, and resting space, this study also urges to secure quality control for desirable planning of the mid-sized rental apartments.

카메라 비전 센서를 활용하는 실시간 사람 점유 검출 (Real-time People Occupancy Detection by Camera Vision Sensor)

  • 빌딩, 집에 설치되어 있는 점유센서는 사람이 없으면 소등하고, 반대이면 점등한다. 현재는 주요 센서로 PIR(pyroelectric infra-red)이 널리 사용되고 있다. 최근에 비전 카메라 센서를 이용하여 사람 점유를 검출하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 카메라 센서는 정지된 사람을 검출할 수 없는 PIR의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한 카메라 센서는 사람의 행위 분석, 사람 트랙킹 등 PIR이 제공할 수 없는 기능을 가지기 때문에 향후 가격 대비 성능이 만족되면 PIR을 대체할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 PIR 센서의 단점을 극복하기 위해서 카메라를 이용한 점유센서 기법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 트랙킹, 인식, 검출의 3가지 단계로 구성되어 점유검출의 효율성을 높힌다. 실시간 처리도 중요한 성능이므로 처리 속도가 향상되도록 설계되었다. 비디오 프레임은 USB로 15fps로 입력되는데, 본 소프트웨어는 14.5fps로 처리한다. 점유 성능 검증에서는 82%의 정확도를 얻었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 장치장 운영규칙의 현실성을 높이기 위해서 트랜스퍼 크레인의 작업운영체계를 분석하고 작업우선순위의 적용을 위한 운영규칙의 적용방법을 설명하였다. 또한 장치장에서 주행로의 특성에 따른 대기 및 주행로 점거형태를 분석하여 블록에 진입하여 대기할 수 있는 최대 대기차량수를 도출할 수 있는 산정식을 정리하고 공간의 제약상태를 분석하였다. 또한 공간의 제약사항 극복하기 위해서 공간자원을 정의할 수 있는 다작업원칙을 제시하고 그 원칙을 위한 해법과 순서도를 묘사하였다.

  • The objective of this study is to provide basic data for building better exterior spaces for stadiums in the future by analyzing the behavior of users, such as the satisfaction measure and the physical environment, after using the exterior space at an existing stadium. To achieve this, multiple methods of data gathering and analyses such as field surveys, documentary surveys, and questionnaires research were used in this study. In the survey of user satisfaction, regression analysis was conducted on all factors. Factor analysis was conducted on the variables that were classified into physical, functional, social, and psychological factors. The factors were then tested and based on the results, multiple regression analysis was conducted to measure the effects of the factors concerning satisfaction. A questionnaire research on the use of the exterior space of a stadium as well as the social and economic backgrounds of the users was also conducted in order to utilize the results for the basic data for analysis of satisfaction. According to the results of this study, the exterior space of a stadium satisfied overall expectations. However, it is deemed important to introduce various facilities and activity programs and to improve the exterior spaces for users in building stadiums in the future.

농촌지역 공동주택 농가의 공간이용행태에 관한 조사연구 -진주시 근교 농촌지역을 중심으로- (A Study on the Space Usage Behaviors of Farmhouse in Rural Apartment Houses)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the space usage behaviors of dwelling by using field study method and by interviewing residents of apartment houses in rural areas. It has been found that the main occupancy space among the residents of apartment houses in rural area is based on agricultural activities. This study will show that apartment houses in rural areas must, as a necessity, reflect the characteristics and needs of its rural environment. It is certain that the existing "unit plan" is not a suitable method. Residents of rural areas have been able to adjust themselves to their current dwelling space properly. This is, mainly, due to economic factors. The interior space is used for simple everyday activities like loading, deposit and drying things. "Nongmak" is a space used for agricultural work and the balcony is used for storage of various things. In conclusion, this study strongly suggested that secure storage space based on the farmhouse model and rural lifestyle should be necessary. Furthermore, special designed cubic shelves should be placed in utility rooms and balconys. And the design and function of apartment houses in rural areas must reflect the needs of its residents.
