The purpose of this study is to analyze the costume in $\ulcorner$The Goddess Abides$\lrcorner$ of Pearl S. Buck by applying "Dramaturgical Analysis" of Erving Goffman. The frame of analysis is the dramaturgical conception of Goffman that he expressed in $\ulcorner$The Presentation of self in Everyday Life (1959)$\lrcorner$. Among the conception, I analyzed by applying 'performance', 'technique of impression management', 'region and region behavior' which can be used for studying and costume behavior. The following is the summary of my study. First, the performance means the performer's behavior and the procedure of impression management if face to fact interaction, which includes personal front and setting. Setting is mainly a house on the Mt. in Vermont. The time is Winter. The personal front includes appearance and manner. actors and audiences form impression through persional front. And Istudied the performance of the actors (or actress), Edith, Jared, Edmond, Edwin, Amelia, June. As for technique of impression management, I cold observe that a varieth of that were being used, such as the most general one that Edith wants to look beautiful by making god appearance, or she sometimes try not to look beautiful And when Edith meets Jared, sometimes she changed her clothes, but other times she doesn't do that. As for region and region behavior, there appears the distinction of region and a lot of expressions about clothes related to the distinction. I could observe the expressions showing the movement from front to back and from back to front. Especially I could observe the behaviors that can be occured only in back region in everyday life, that is bathing, changing clothes, making up, checking their appearance before the mirror. Like above when I analyzed $\ulcorner$The Goddess Abides$\lrcorner$ of Pearl S. Buck by Goffman's Dramaturgical analysis, I could find out that the theory was very useful to the analysis of the costume behaviors of the characters.

Objectives : The study was designed to observe the effect of Polygalae Radix Preparata Cum Glycyrrhizae Radix on 4-Hydroxynonenal (4-HNE)-induced apoptosis in PC-12 cell.Methods : A cytotoxic test on Polygalae Radix Preparata Cum Glycyrrhizae Radix (PG) was conducted and another MTT assay was conducted to observe the cytoprotective effect against 4-HNE that cause oxidative stress. In addition, in order to observe the expression of Bax, Bcl-2, Caspase-3 and TNF-α protein involved with apoptosis, western blot was conducted.Results : The groups treated with 25 ㎍, 50 ㎍ and 100 ㎍ of PG water extract had no toxicity for PC-12 cell. The groups treated with 25 ㎍, 50 ㎍ and 100 ㎍ of PG water extract showed a significant increase of cell survival rate in comparison with the control group injected by only 4-HNE. The groups treated with 25 ㎍ and 50 ㎍ of PG water extract showed a significant supression on increase of Bax protein expression in the control group. The group treated with 100 ㎍ of PG water extract showed a significant promotion on decrease of Bcl-2 protein expression in the control group. The group treated with 50 ㎍ of PG water extract showed a significant supression on increase of Caspase-3 protein expression in the control group. The group treated with 25 ㎍ of PG water extract showed a significant supression on increase of TNF-α protein expression in the control group.Conclusions : These results suggest that Polygalae Radix Preparata Cum Glycyrrhizae Radix is effective in reducing apoptosis by 4-HNE-dameged cell.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of Polygalae Radix(PR) on 4-HNE-induced apoptosis in PC-12 cell. Methods : A MTT assay was conducted to observe the cytotoxicity of Polygalae Radix on the cell viability and the cytoprotective effect of Polygalae Radix against 4-HNE that causes oxidative stress-induced cytotoxicity, and then a western blot was conducted to observe the expression of $TNF-{\alpha}$, caspase-3, Bax and Bcl-2 protein that are important factors involved with apoptosis signaling pathway. Results : The Polygalae Radix water extract $25{\mu}g$, $50{\mu}g$, $100{\mu}g$ and $200{\mu}g/mL$ had no cytotoxicity on the PC-12 cell. The Polygalae Radix water extract $25{\mu}g$, $50{\mu}g$ and $100{\mu}g/mL$ had the cytoprotective effect against 4-HNE that causes cytotoxicity on the PC-12 cell. The Polygalae Radix water extract $50{\mu}g/mL$ significantly suppressed the increase in $TNF-{\alpha}$ protein expression in PC-12 cell. The Polygalae Radix water extract $25{\mu}g$ and $50{\mu}g/mL$ significantly suppressed the increase in caspase-3 protein expression in PC-12 cell. The Polygalae Radix water extract $25{\mu}g$, $50{\mu}g$ and $100{\mu}g/mL$ suppressed the increase in Bax protein expression in PC-12 cell but had no significance. The Polygalae Radix water extract $25{\mu}g$ and $100{\mu}g/mL$ significantly prevented the decrease in Bcl-2 protein expression in PC-12 cell, Conclusions : These results suggest that the Polygalae Radix water extract is effective in inhibiting apoptosis.

A Study on Problem of Impeachment Evidence in Criminal Proceedings for Employ by the Convergence Meaning of impeachment evidence in criminal proceedings is liking the spread of the branches moment. The first, there is to set limits of impeachment evidence. The amicable solution is to accept moving flexibly. In a concrete way must to make away with a constituent element unlawfulness. The second, problem a return to probative force exist. This problem agree in principle to resolve an issue for the testimony of an eyewitness. The third, how to admit that institution of criminal investigation after the testimony of an eyewitness exist. This attendant conditions are to eliminate illegality for the authenticity in he testimony of an eyewitness and for the observe due process. Therefore, we must observe due process without illegality to solve the problem for the convergence.

An optical payload needs to be validated its image performance after launched into orbit. The image performance was validated by observing star because ground site contains uncertainties caused by atmosphere, time of the year, and weather. Time Delayed and Integration(TDI) technique, which is mostly used to observe the ground, is going to be used to observe the selected stars. A satellite attitude scenario was also developed to observe the selected stars. The scenario is created to enable TDI to operate. Rotation angles of optical payload are determined in order for the selected stars to properly be passed at a desired angular velocity about rotation axis. The result of this research can be utilized to validate the quality of optical payload of a satellite in orbit. In addition, a quaternion for pointing selected stars is calculated minimizing the path from a given arbitrary attitude of satellite.

Background : Although Samsoeum has been used frequently on allergic rhinitis, but there isn't any experimental research for that. Objective : This study was performed to investigate the anti-allergic effects of Samsoeum and Samsoeumgamibang. Materials and Methods : Katayama's method was used to observe the vascular permeability response induced by serotonin and histamine. Muller's method was used to observe the contact dermatitis response induced by picryl chloride. Miller's method was used to observe the delayed type hypersensitivity response to SRC. Results : 1. In the vascular permeability response to intradermal injection of serotonin, 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeum(蔘蘇飮), 1,300 and 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeumgamibang(蔘蘇飮加味方) showed significant inhibitory effects on the leakage of Evan's blue solution. 2. In the vascular permeability response to intradermal injection of histamine, 1,300 and 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeum, also 1,300 and 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group Samsoeumgamibang showed significant inhibitory effects on the leakage of Evan's blue solution. 3. In the contact dermatitis response induced by picryl chloride, 1,300 and 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeum, 1,300 and 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeumgamibang showed significant inhibitory effects on ear swelling formation. 4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity response to SRC. 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeum and 2,600mg/kg, p.o. group of Samsoeumgamibang showed significant inhibitory effects on foot swelling. Conclusion : This study shows that Samsoeum and Samsoeumgamibang may have anti-allergic effects. So Samsoeum and Samsoeurngamibang can be helpful to treat allergic rhinitis.

Almost teachers have some basic questions about the effective teaching and learning. The purpose of this study is to develop an alternative tool to observe and analyze an instruction based on the learning theories providing the theoretical rationalities for learners to study not only in daily their life but also in their class and to apply it as an example. This study showed some suggestions analyzing an instruction theoretically through out some filters based on learning theories. Recently various learning theories have been studied and accumulated. This study developed an alternative tool to observe and analyze an instruction based on the Behaviorism, the Cognitivism and the Constructivism in the middle of these learning theories and it was applied to observe and analyze a actual class of the informatics subject. The expectation is for teachers to reflect or improve their classes using the alternative tool.

Objects : Apoptosis leads to the death of a cell. The mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis, a process regulated by the Bcl-2 family of proteins, plays a key role in various biological processes. The tuber of Liriope platyphylla Wang et TANG (Liliaceae), also known as Liriopis tuber, is famous in Oriental medicine owing to its tonic, antitussive, expectorant and anti-asthmatic properties. The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of the Liriopis tuber on mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis in PC-12 cells. Method : A cytotoxic test on Liriopis Tuber water extract was conducted and another MTT assay was conducted to observe the cytoprotective effect against 4-HNE 25 ${\mu}M$ that causes oxidative stress in PC-12 cells for 24 hours. In addition, in order to observe the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax protein involved with apoptosis, western blot was conducted. Results : The LT water extract had no toxicity for PC-12 cell. In the cytoprotective effect against 4-HNE, both of the group treated with 50 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and 100 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$ of LT water extract showed a significant increase in comparison with the control group. In Bax protein expression, all the experimental groups treated with LT water extract showed a decrease in comparison with the control group but had no significance. In Bcl-2 protein expression, all the experimental groups treated with LT water extract showed a significant increase in comparison with the control group. Conclusion : These results suggest that LT is effective in reducing apoptosis.
