  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation of physical and intangible assets, and to analyze the use of planning in a new cultural space creation project areas. For this study, literature survey, filed survey and participant observation methods were used for data collection. The results were as follows. 1) The project's characteristics had a variety of space utilization's scope. It was to emphasize the organizations and participants in the human side. 2) There are the pumping stations, mokgammak, mills, barbershops, marketplaces etc in physical assets, and it was worth the historic or agricultural facility. 3) The using plans of three kinds in hardware facilities, software programs, human ware(human abilities)are linked to each other organically. 4) The problems in the project's process include the administrative and institutional factors rather than planning matters.

집합주택단지 내 근린생활시설과 주동 복합건축물의 특성 (The Characteristics of the Apartment Buildings with Commercial Facilities in Urban Housing Blocks)

  • The objectives of this article are to grasp the characteristics of the apartment buildings with commercial facilities through various case studies and to present alternative measures in planning method to the issue of division of space function. To present the alternative planning method on apartment buildings with commercial facilities in urban housing blocks, 34 cases completed in 1990's were chosen in Seoul area. Substantial methods such as field research, close observation and interviews were carried out to analyze on these subjects. The analysis were focused on the sizes and features of apartment buildings and its relationships to other components. Other components can be roughly divided into four sectors which are environments, roads, arrangements of the main building and public facilities and commercial facilities inside the resident blocks.

  • This study consists of an observation of the changes in management and agricultural production of Shinbuk-eup based on the data from the Agricultural, Forestry & Census Report Survey. The following is a short summary and suggestions of the research. First, taking a look at the farming conditions of Shinbuk-eup, it shows that it is extremely polarized into rice paddies and vegetable cropping. Second, using the Tobit model to analyze the factor of determination of farmable lands of the farmers in Shinbuk-eup, the higher the number of family members, the less the hired work, and the more the experience in farming, have larger farmable lands. Meanwhile, the younger the farmer, their land mass is higher, however, after reaching their threshold age, their lands decrease.

일반화된 2단계 재고체계에서의 최적주문정책 (The Optimal Ordering Policy for the Generalized Two-Stage Inventory System)

  • We consider the optimal ordering policy for a single-product two-stage inventory system where the main assumptions are as follows: (i) constant continuous demand only at stage 2, (ii) constant input (production) rate at stage 1, (iii) instantaneous delivery (transportation) from stage 1 to stage 2, (iv) backlogging is allowed only at stage 2, (v) an infinite planning horizon. Costs considered are ordering and linear holding costs at both stages, and linear shortage cost only at stages 2. By solving 9 different case problems, we have observed the general from of the optimal ordering policies for our model which minimizes the total cost per unit time. It is noticeable from this observation that the questionable but more often than not adopted assumption by many authors in determining the optimal potimal policy for multistage inventory systems, that the ordering (lot) sizes at each stage remain constant thruout the planning horizon, is not valid.

GPS를 이용한 축분퇴비의 농지환원 실태조사 (GPS Application in Investigating Land Application of Animal Waste)

  • A portable GPS receiver and a navigation software were used to investigate land application practices of manure composts. The field investigation indicated that most of the land application of manure composts were observed before April. Plowing for incorporation of manure with soil were continued from the middle of April. The results also revealed that over 60% of the farms were within 1 km from livestock farms from which manure composts were transported. Most of the farms having land application were dry field rather than paddies, Some of fields located near livestock farms frequently experience over-application of manure composts. It seems to have been difficult to complete the investigation in this study without the Gps/navigation system. The GPS/navigation system will become an essential tool in field investigations such as ecological/environmental monitoring works that require repeated observation at a number of sites.

Formal Business Plans as Myth and Ceremony: Education and Practical Implications

  • Business plan competitions and related education are common activities to regions that are, or desire to be, important innovative and start-up regions. The literature is contradictory regarding the value of formal business plans (FBPs) toward venture planning, capital acquisition, and education. This study analyzes the relevant literature and sample of 35 FBPs to assess these contradictions. We propose the theoretical constructs of "myth and ceremony" to explain the loose coupling of FBPs to real business environments, an observation consistent with theory that suggests organizations perpetuate the myths of their institutional environment to maintain their legitimacy. We offer Action Business Planning as an alternative to more accurately address the realities of venture creation and survival, and for education.

Research on Vertical Space System of Mixed-Use Complex

  • As the predominant mode of vertical urban development in China, mixed-use complexes provide the optimal case for the research of sustainable and vertical urbanism. This paper reviews three typical mixed-use complexes with various vertical space systems in Shanghai via the combination of field observation, questionnaires and software analysis. It then proceeds to determine which vertical space system is most effective for encouraging sustainable vertical urban development from the perspective of spatial efficiency. Finally, it concludes with an evaluation of the relative capabilities of the design features of a mixed-use complex: to create external dimensional-connections, to create multiple internal connections, and to organize overall composite functions.

섬진강 유출수의 3차원 거동 특성 (Three-dimensional Mixing Behaviour Characteristics of Seomjin River Discharges)

  • The effect of discharges from the Seomjin River on the dispersion of thermal effluent from the Hadong Power Plant, located along the south coast of Korea, was investigatedusing intensive field observation and three-dimensinal Princeton Ocean Model simulations. A POM and observed CTD data was used to predict the mixing behaviour of the Summer freshet, during the July 2005 intensive observing period. The dispersal of the river discharge anomaly, associated with the Seomjin River plume, was seen to be highly responsive to tidal currents and river flows during the spring tide.

  • The purpose of this study is to build fundamental data related to corridor space for nursing home design. Elderly with dementia were observed in corridor space at two nursing homes in In-cheon City. Two types of behavior were found out through in-depth observation; Group and Personal behaviors. Group behaviors were varying according to the type of programs such as rest, care, diet, and therapeutic services. Personal behaviors could be classified into wandering and private seclusion. These two behaviors were influenced by management programs of facilities, services of care-givers and individual characteristics of residents. The result of this study was discussed on the following matters: 1) Optimum size of residential unit; 2) Working spaces of care-givers; 3) Relationship between bedroom and common space for gathering; 4) Planning for wandering path; 5) Familiarity of interior finishing materials

  • 1961년부터 2010년 현재까지 현행 국가정선해양관측이 고전적 방법에 의해 수행됨으로써 자동화된 시스템의 형태로 실시간 혹은 준실시간으로 자료를 제공하지 못하게 되는 부분에 대한 개선방향을 살펴보고, 우리나라 운용해양시스템의 실용화를 위하여 국가정선해양관측이 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하였다. 선상에서 관측이 끝난 이후부터 데이터베이스에 자료가 저장되는 시점까지 행해지는 수동화된 작업을 대체하기 위해서는, 수온, 염분뿐만 아니라 다양한 자동측정센서가 부착된 CTD(Conductivity-Temperature-Depth)에 연동된 컴퓨터에서 해양관측자료를 처리하고 실시간으로 품질관리를 수행하며 통신수단에 맞게 자료를 전송할 수 있도록 하는 자동화 소프트웨어의 개발이 필요하다. 관측자료를 실시간의 형태로 전송하기 위해서는 Inmarsat 위성통신장비를 활용한 전송시스템이 타당하고, 준실시간 형태의 전송으로는 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) 무선통신방식을 사용하여 연안역에 도달했을 때 수집된 자료들을 묶어서 보내는 방식이 적합하다. 실시간 품질관리 과정을 포함시켜 관측시 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 원인의 오류를 미연에 방지할 수 있을 것이다.
