This study aims to find empirical evidence of causal relationship between strategy type, market orientation, strategic management accounting (SMA) strategic costing technique, and financial sector performance of private universities in Indonesia. The research object in this study are private universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Yogyakarta is chosen because universities there are one of the barometers of higher education in Indonesia, and the city has quite a number of universities. The respondents in this study are the leader (manager) of private universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data analysis is done using SEM-PLS with WarpPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study show that market orientation has significant influence on the development and implementation of SMA strategic costing technique, while strategy type does not have significant influence on the development and implementation of SMA strategic costing technique. This study also finds that the implementation of SMA strategic costing technique significantly influences the financial sector performance of private universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study provides theoretical implication regarding SMA development in universities that consider that contingency factors (market orientation) can encourage increased organizational performance. It indicates support for contingency theory that states there are no general principles that apply to all situations.

The 3D Image which embodies real object to 3D space of computer enables various geometrical analysis as well as visualization of complex 3D shape by giving sense for the real and cubic effect that can not be offered in 2D image. Human gives real object to same physical properties in 3D space imagination world of computer, and it is expected that this enables offering of various information by user strengthening interface between human-computer to observe object in real condition. In this study, formal style routine of 3D image creation applying digital photogrammetry was designed for more practical, highly trusty 3D image creation, and the system was emboded using object-oriented technique which strengthen user interface. Also, the discontinuity information about rock slope using 3D image is acquired that is orientation, persistence, spacing and aperture etc.
If a virtual object in a virtual environment represented by a stereo vision system could be touched by a user with some tactile feeling on his/her fingertip, the sense of reality would be heightened. To create a visual impression as if the user were directly pointing to a desired point on a virtual object with his/her own finger, we need to align virtual space coordinates and physical space coordinates. Also, if there is no tactile feeling when the user touches a virtual object, the virtual object would seem to be a ghost. Therefore, a haptic interface device is required to give some tactile sensation to the user. We have constructed such a human-computer interaction system in the form of a simple virtual reality game using a stereo vision system, a vibro-tactile device module, and two position/orientation sensors.

Object-oriented paradigm has required the fundamental changes in the developers' practice and orientation. However. the relevant literature has not still provided the solid practical methodology but created some myths regarding Use Case modeling. In this study. we attempt to 'demythologize' some key aspects of Use Case Modeling by describing what we have observed in our research and practice. In order to identify the developers' perceptions. the survey methodology was utilized. By discussing the differences between what must be done and what has been done. this study provides rich insights into the better understanding of the Use Case modeling and the successful development of object-oriented systems.

A cylindrical shape object is widely used as a mechanical part and a water pipe or an oil pipeline which are of cylindrical shape are widely used in the infrastructure. In order to handling such objects automatically using a robot, the posture i.e. orientation in 3D space should be recognized. However, since there is no edge or vertex in the pipe, it is very difficult task for the robot. In this paper in order to guide the robot, two kind of algorithms which find the axis using the measured range data from the robot to the object surface are to be developed. The algorithms are verified using both the simulated range data and the measured one.

In this paper, we propose an adaptive classifier based on uncertainty of features for 3D planar object recognition. First, we investigate the uncertainty of depth information and the feature values of 3D planar object by numerical method. And, we observed that the statistical behavior of feature is dependent on the position and orientation of objects. After that, the approximation of the statistical behavior is executed. Subsequently, the recognition procedure is executed by the adaptive classifier. By computer simulation, we confirmed that the proposed classifier is useful for 3D planar object recognition.

In this paper, we present a 3-D object recognition system in which the 3-D Hough transform domain is employed to represent the 3-D objects. In object modeling step, the features for recognition are extracted from the CAD models of objects to be recognized. Since the approach is based on the CAD models, the accuracy and flexibility are greatly improved. In matching stage, the sensed image is compared with the stored model, which is assumed to yield a distortion (location and orientation) in the 3-D Hough transform domain. The high dimensional (6-D) parameter space, which defines the distortion, is decomposed into the low dimensional space for an efficient recognition. At first we decompose the distortion parameter into the rotation parameter and the translation parameter, and the rotation parameter is further decomposed into the viewing direction and the rotational angle. Since we use the 3-D Hough transform domain of the input images directly, the sensitivity to the noise and the high computational complexity could be significantly alleviated. The results show that the proposed 3-D object recognition system provides a satisfactory performance on the real range images.

This paper presents a new approach of analyzing errors resulting from nonideal general-purpose lighting environment when the Photometric Stereo Method (PSM) is applied to estimate the surface-orientation of a three-dimensional object. The approach introduces the explicit modeling of the lighting environment including a circular-disk type irradiance object plane and the direct simulation of the error distribution with the model. The light source is modeled as a point source that has a certain amount of beam angle, and the luminance distribution on the irradiance plane is modeled as a Gaussian function with different deviation values. A simulation algorithm is devised to estimate the light source orientation computing the average luminance intensities obtained from the irradiance object planes positioned in three different orientations. The effect of the nonideal lighting model is directly reflected in such simulation, because of the analogy between the PSM and the proposed algorithm. With an instrumental tool designed to provide arbitrary orientations of the object plane at the origin of the coordinate system, experiment can be performed in a systematic way for the error analysis and compensation. Simulations are performed to find out the error distribution by widely varying the light model and the orientation set of the object plane. The simulation results are compared with those of the experiment performed in the same way as the simulation. It is confirmed from the experiment that a fair amount of errors is due to the erroneous effect of the general-purpose lighting environment.

Presented in this paper is an adaptive measuring procedure of dental impression using the Structured Light System. While measuring a complex object, such as dental impression, in the reverse engineering, it is not possible to acquire all parts of the scanned surface. Missing scanned data is resulted in holes in a created triangular mesh. The focus of this paper is to introduce an algorithm for automatic identification of additional scanning orientations to fill holes that are created by a default scan. The proposed algorithm was developed by the three major technological requirements: camera visibility, projector visibility, data reliability. In order to satisfy the requirements, the proposed algorithm determines additional scanning orientation from the orientation of a projection plane derived from the average normal vector of boundary triangles.

The object of this paper is to investigte the gate controlled diode structure for ionic concentration measurement. It includes device fabrication, characterization, device physics and modeling of the gate controlled diode structure. The differences of turn on voltages and surface generation currents in the (100) and (111) silicon crystallographic orientation of the sample device were observed. Therefore the dependence of these two factors of the silicon crystallographic orientation was investigated. It was observed that drifts arose after extended immersion of the sample device in acid or base solutions. The surface generation-recombination velocity of both (100) and (111) increased. The increase in the interfacial traps for both surface, determined by the turn on voltage was directly proportional to the surface generation-recombination velocity increase.
