This study presents an investigation into the ways to detect the areas of object movement with Kinect's Depth Frame, which is capable of receiving 3D information regardless of external light sources. Applied to remove noises along the boundaries of objects among the depth information received from sensors were the blurring technique for the x and y coordinates of pixels and the frequency filter for the z coordinate. In addition, a clustering filter was applied according to the changing amounts of adjacent pixels to extract the areas of moving objects. It was also designed to detect fast movements above the standard according to filter settings, being applicable to mobile robots. Detected movements can be applied to security systems when being delivered to distant places via a network and can also be expanded to large-scale data through concerned information.

In food-printing field, precise positioning technique for a printing object is very important. In this paper, we propose cup positioning method for a latte-art printer through image processing. A camera sensor is installed on the upper side of the printer, and the image obtained from this is projected and converted into a top-view image. Then, the edge lines of the image is detected first, and then the coordinate of the center and the radius of the cup are detected through a Circular Hough transformation. The performance evaluation results show that the image processing time is 0.1 ~ 0.125 sec and the cup detection rate is 92.26%. This means that a cup is detected almost perfectly without affecting the whole latte-art printing time. The center point coordinates and radius values of cups detected by the proposed method show very small errors less than an average of 1.5 mm. Therefore, it seems that the problem of the printing position error is solved.

The object positional data in the form of digital imagery is processed and stored and is updated easily. The GPS, positioning system using satellites, is acquired its utilities in many parts because it is very easy to get the three dimensional coordinates using GPS around the world. For the effective acquisition of positional data to-ward objects in space, the automation of digital photogrammetry must be done and data acquisition and processing should be performed in real-time. In this study, the program is developed for automatic process of digital photogrammetry and the VAN that has CCD cameras and GPS receivers onboard is built for mobile positioning system. Also, the three dimensional positioning toward 20 objects which are vertical to the ground is done using left and right imagery of CCD cameras and GPS. For a base research in real-time photogrammetry, the three dimensional positioning is performed using continuous imagery and GPS and the three dimensional positioning accuracy is analyzed.

The camera is a key element in image-based three-dimensional positioning, and camera calibration, which properly determines the internal characteristics of such a camera, is a necessary process that must be preceded in order to determine the three-dimensional coordinates of the object. In this study, a new methodology was proposed to determine interior orientation parameters of a camera semi-automatically without being influenced by size and shape of checkerboard for camera calibration. The proposed method consists of exterior orientation parameters estimation using quaternion, recognition of calibration target, and interior orientation parameter determination through bundle block adjustment. After determining the interior orientation parameters using the chessboard calibration target, the three-dimensional position of the small 3D model was determined. In addition, the horizontal and vertical position errors were about ${\pm}0.006m$ and ${\pm}0.007m$, respectively, through the accuracy evaluation using the checkpoints.
The purpose of this study was to investigate a three dimensional kinematic variables about the last stride and the release phase of the throwing technique for female javelin throwers. For the motion analysis, Six female javelin throwers were used as subjects. Three-dimensional coordinates were collected using the Kwon3D Motion Analysis Package Version 2.1 Program. Two S-VHS Video Cameras were used to record the locations and orientations of control object and the performances of the subjects at a frequency of 6.0 HZ. After the kinematic variables such as the time, the distance, the velocity, and the angle were analyzed about the last stride and release phase, the followings were achieved; 1. For the effectively javelin throwing, the subjects appeared to do long the approach time in the phasel of landing phase, and short the delivery time in release phase 2. In the release event, the other subjects except for subject A appeared to throwing in the lower condition than the height of themselves. This result showed to slow the projecion velocity. 3. For increase the projection vcelocity of the upper extremity joint in the release event, it appeared to do extend rather the shoulder angle than increase the extension of elbow joint. 4. The body of COG angle showed to gradually increase nearly at the vertical axis in the release event. But the front lean angle of trunk showed a small angle compare to increase of the body of COG angle. Therefore for the effectively momentum transmission of the whole body in the javelin, the front and back lean angle of trunk appeared to do fastly transfer the angle displacement in the arch posture or the crescent condition during the deliverly motion of the release phase.

Industrial and economical importance of CP(Cellular Phone) is growing rapidly. Combined with IT technology, CP is one of the most attractive technologies of today. However, unless we find a new breakthrough in the technology, its growth may slow down soon. RT(Robot Technology) is considered one of the most promising next generation technologies. Unlike the industrial robot of the past, today's robots require advanced features, such as soft computing, human-friendly interface, interaction technique, speech recognition object recognition, among many others. In this paper, we present a new technological concept named RCP (Robotic Cellular Phone) which integrates RT and CP in the vision of opening a combined advancement of CP, IT, and RT, RCP consists of 3 sub-modules. They are $RCP^{Mobility}$(RCP Mobility System), $RCP^{Interaction}$, and $RCP^{Integration}$. The main focus of this paper is on $RCP^{Mobility}$ which combines an autonomous navigation system of the RT mobility with CP. Through $RCP^{Mobility}$, we are able to provide CP with robotic functions such as auto-charging and real-world robotic entertainment. Ultimately, CP may become a robotic pet to the human beings. $RCP^{Mobility}$ consists of various controllers. Two of the main controllers are trajectory controller and self-localization controller. While the former is responsible for the wheel-based navigation of RCP, the latter provides localization information of the moving RCP With the coordinates acquired from RFID-based self-localization controller, trajectory controller refines RCP's movement to achieve better navigation. In this paper, a prototype of $RCP^{Mobility}$ is presented. We describe overall structure of the system and provide experimental results on the RCP navigation.

The fundamental matrix and key frame selection are one of the most important techniques to recover full 3D reconstruction of objects from turntable sequences. This paper proposes a new algorithm that estimates a robust fundamental matrix for camera calibration from uncalibrated images taken under turn-table motion. Single axis turntable motion can be described in terms of its fixed entities. This provides new algorithms for computing the fundamental matrix. From the projective properties of the conics and fundamental matrix the Euclidean 3D coordinates of a point are obtained from geometric locus of the image points trajectories. Experimental results on real and virtual image sequences demonstrate good object reconstructions.

This paper introduces the implementation of a driver's condition warning system using eye aspect ratio to prevent a car accident. The proposed driver's condition warning system using eye aspect ratio consists of a camera, that is required to detect eyes, the Raspberrypie that processes information on eyes from the camera, buzzer and vibrator, that are required to warn the driver. In order to detect and recognize driver's eyes, the histogram of oriented gradients and face landmark estimation based on deep-learning are used. Initially the system calculates the eye aspect ratio of the driver from 6 coordinates around the eye and then gets each eye aspect ratio values when the eyes are opened and closed. These two different eye aspect ratio values are used to calculate the threshold value that is necessary to determine the eye state. Because the threshold value is adaptively determined according to the driver's eye aspect ratio, the system can use the optimal threshold value to determine the driver's condition. In addition, the system synthesizes an input image from the gray-scaled and LAB model images to operate in low lighting conditions.

The 3-dimensional deformation measurement by the terrestrial photogrammetry is consist of 3-dimensional coordinates computation, displaced point detection and deformation estimation of object targets. In this study, at the first step of deformation analysis, the variation of the variance-covariance matrix for the exterior orientation elements was analyzed by the increment of the ground control points and the photos in the Bundle adjustment. And then, to give the constraints for improving accuracy of ground control points, the concept of Free-Network adjustment was applied to Bundle adjustment. As a result, we knew that it was desired in the accuracy and the economy, the observation time when the numbers of ground control point and photo were respectively 6 points and 3 photos. In addition, in the case of applying the concept of Free Network adjustment in Bundle adjutment, it was desirable that the space distance for the constraints is distributed outside.

This paper describes the implementation of AUSV system for sonar image acquisition to survey the seabed. The system is controlled by Feed Forward PID algorithm on the vessel for bearing of the thrusters composed of motion sensor and DGPS which calculates the differences between the current location and the destination location for longitude and latitude based on GPS coordinates. As experimental results, the bearing control performance is good that the error distance from the destination positions are under 6m in total survey track of 1km. And the sonar image deviation of a object is under 12 pixels from the manned survey method, which the comparison with the total image quality is almost the same as the manned survey one. Thus the proposed AUSV system is a new method of system can be utilized at the limited survey areas as the surveyor should not be able to approach on sea surface by onboard vessel.
