객체지향 데이터베이스를 이용한 지식베이스 모형(OOKS) 개발 (Development of OOKS : a Knowledge Base Model Using an Object-Oriented Database)

  • Building a knowledge base effectively has been an important research area in the expert systems field. A variety of approaches have been studied including rules, semantic networks, and frames to represent the knowledge base for expert systems. As the size and complexity of the knowledge base get larger and more complicated, the integration of knowledge based with database technology cecomes more important to process the large amount of data. However, relational database management systems show many limitations in handing the complicated human knowledge due to its simple two dimensional table structure. In this paper, we propose Object-Oriented Knowledge Store (OOKS), a knowledge base model on the basis of a frame sturcture using an object-oriented database. In the proposed model, managing rules for inferencing and facts about objects in one uniform structure, knowledge and data can be tightly coupled and the performance of reasoning can be improved. For building a knowledge base, a knowledge script file representing rules and facts is used and the script file is transferred into a frame structure in database systems. Specifically, designing a frame structure in the database model as it is, it can facilitate management and utilization of knowledge in expert systems. To test the appropriateness of the proposed knowledge base model, a prototype system has been developed using a commercial ODBMS called ObjectStore and C++ programming language.

  • 본 논문은 지식 기반 객체지 향 공간 데이터베이스시스템 KOBOS를 제안한다. 객체지향 공간 데이터베이스 시스템의 데이터 모델링과 근접 질의답변에 지식기반 접근법을 도입한다. 공간객체와 근접 공간 연산자를 다루기 위해 다음과 같은 세 단계 객체지향 데이터 모델을 제안하고 있다: (1) 공간 형상 모델; (2) 공간 객체 모델: (3) 내부 기술 모델. 근접 공간 연산자의 범위는 공간 타입 추상 계층으로 알 수 있다. 또한 객체지향 공간 질의어인 SOQL을 제안한다. SOQL은 공간 객체의 다양한 출력과 공간 및 비 공간 객체의 검색을 수행할 수 있는 통합 기능을 제공해준다. 효율적인 혼합 질의 처리를 위하여, 하향 공간 질의 처리 방법을 이용하여 처리해 준다.

Agent-based Mobile Robotic Cell Using Object Oriented & Queuing Petri Net Methods in Distribution Manufacturing System

  • In this paper, we deal with the problem of modeling of agent-based robot manufacturing cell. Its role is becoming increasingly important in automated manufacturing systems. For Object Oriented & Queueing Petri Nets (OO&QPNs), an extended formalism for the combined quantitative and qualitative analysis of different systems is used for structure and performance analysis of mobile robotic cell. In the case study, the OO&QPN model of a mobile robotic cell is represented and analyzed, considering multi-class parts, non-preemptive priority and alternative routing. Finally, the comparison of performance values between Shortest Process Time (SPT) rule and First Come First Serve (FCFS) rule is suggested. In general, SPT rule is most suitable for parts that have shorter processing time than others.

  • A new PC-based Engine Control system (ECS) is developed using an object oriented programming method. This system provides more convenient environment for engine tests, easier user interface and extended functions. A Windows-based ECS software is developed with class, and the class structure is built on encapsulation and abstraction. The closed-loop engine control scheme can be easily constructed by using dynamic link library and multitasking. This means that a user can perform desired experiments without clear knowledge of the hardware structure of the ECS. Also this system allows a user to individually control the ignition and fuel injection for each cylinder in a simple manner such as through a keyboard/mouse or in a real-time operation from a closed-loop control program.

  • In this paper Valentine Braitenberg structure based sensory motor model for object tracking control system was proposed. Conventional model based control schemes are require highly non-linear mathematical models, which require long computational time to solve complex high order equations. Contrast to conventional models proposed system simply link signal data from camera directly to the inputs of neural network, and outputs of network are directly fed into input of motor driver of camera. With simple structure of sensory motor model, real time tracking control system for dynamic object was realized successfully, and the implementation of sensory motor model can overcome the limitation of model-based control schemes.

An Efficient Time-Frequency Representation for Parametric-Based Audio Object Coding

  • Object-based audio coding can provide new music applications with interactivity. To efficiently compress a lot of target audio objects, a subband-based parametric coding scheme has been adopted for MPEG spatial audio object coding. In this letter, the time-frequency (T/F) subband analysis structure is investigated. A reconfigured T/F structure is also proposed to enhance the generating performance of sound scenes such as 'karaoke' and 'solo' play in interactive music scenarios. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the proposed scheme remarkably improves the SNR and sound quality.

적응 Simplex-Mesh 기술에 기반한 3차원 물체 복원과 자료 압축 (3D Object Restoration and Data Compression Based on Adaptive Simplex-Mesh Technique)

  • 대부분의 3차원 물체 복원 기술은 물체를 다수의 평면으로 나누고 물체의 각 표면을 근사시켜 표현한다. 주어진 분류치를 사용하여 mesh를 초기화시키는 Marching Cubes 알고리듬과 Delaunay Tetrahedrisation이 널리 사용되고 있다. 이와 더불어 deformable 모델은 적은수의 가정만으로도 다양한 종류의 데이터들에 대한 복원 및 재구성을 할수 있기 때문에 일반적인 물체복원에 적합하다. 현재 defrmable 모델이 기반이 된 복원 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 곡면으로 이루어진 물체에 대해서 적응 simplex mesh 기술을 바탕으로 3차원 물체를 압축 복원하는 방법을 제시한다. 이방법은 미리 정해진 mesh 구조를 변형시키고 곡률과 같은 기하학적인 특성들을 다시 설정하면서 본래의 3차원 물체로 접근시킨다. 시뮬레이션을 통해서 높은 압축률로 물체를 복원하고 물체의 모양을 최적으로 기술하기 위해 정점들이 곡률이 높은 곳으로 집중되는 것을 보인다.

  • Object-oriented programming goes on increasing in many areas, as its advantages of flexibility and ease of maintenance have been recognized. As in usual programmings, the productivity and flexibility of CACSD package can be improved by adopting object-oriented programmin. This paper describes our efforts to implement an OO-CACSD(Object Oriented CACSD) package for control system design and simulation. Since the proposed OO-CACSD is based on the modularity, portability, reuseability, and matrix-oriented data structure, a control system can be not only modeled and simulated but also maintained easily.

  • In this paper, the method of image segmentation based on a pyramid of reduced resolution versions of the input input image is persented. In a pyramid structure, two regions (a given pixel and its mother pixels) are compared by the proposed inverse-mother-son variance ratio (IMSVR) method for the detection of an optinal object pixel and are determined whether they are similar enough to be viewed as one region or disparate to be viewed as ditinct regions By the proposed method, an l`timal object pixel has been setectedat some level, it is necessary to retrieve its boundary precisely. Moving down the pyramid to levels of higher resolution is requires. In this paper, the top-sown pyramid traversing algorithm for an image segmentation using a pyrmid structure is presented. Using the computer simulation, the results by the proposed statistical method and object traversing method are investigated for the binary image and the real image at the results of computer simulation, the proposed method of image segmentation based on a pyramid structure seem to have useful properties and deserve consideration as a possible alternative to existing methods of omage segmentation. The computation for the proposed method is required 0 (log n), for an TEX>$n{\times}n$ input image.

  • 일반적인 코스웨어에서는 단순한 분기 수준에서 학습자료를 제시하는 것 이외의 개별화에 관한 노력을 찾아보기 힘들다. 이러한 문제의 원인은 다양한 측면에서 찾아볼 수 있지만, 코스웨어 자체가 융통적이지 못하고 재사용이 불가능한 하나의 고정된 구조로 구성되어 있으며 개발하는 데 있어 많은 비용과 시간이 소모된다는 것이다. 소프트웨어 개발 방법에서 객체지향개념이 등장한 것과 같은 맥락으로 코스와 컨텐트 개발에서는 학습객체라고 하는 개념이 대두되어 이를 통한 융통적인 코스 설계의 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 하지만 학습객체 기반의 코스 설계에서도 여전히 기존의 코스웨어와 비슷한 형태와 구조를 보이고 있으며, 학습객체를 활용한 개별화학습 구현에 대한 노력은 아직 미비하다. 본 연구에서는 기존 학습객체를 확장하여 개별화학습을 지원할 수 있는 개략적인 개별화학습지원-학습객체모델을 제안하며, 이를 기초로 개별화된 학습경로를 제시해 줄 수 있는 교수설계모형을 ADDIE 모델을 기초로 설계해 보았다.
