미생물 violacein 색소의 다섬교직포에서의 염색성 (Dyeing Properties of Microbial Violacein on Mutifiber Fabrics)

  • Dyeability of microbial violacein produced from Chromobacterum violaceum CV107 on to multifiber fabrics has been studied. The bluish-purple colourants were produced by cultivation of Chromobacterum violaceum using LB liquid medium for 2 days. The colourant was extracted with 80% acetone and identified as violacein by LC/MS analysis. The violacein could be dyed on not only natural fibers such as Cotton, Silk and Wool but also synthetic fibers such as Diacetate, Triacetate, Creslan 61 and Nylon 66. Maximum K/S values were shown at 540-580 nm according to different fiber with color appearance of purple or blue. An optimum pH and temperature under dyeing condition were 10 and $70^{\circ}C$, respectively. Any mordants were not improved colour density and quality on various fabrics. From this studies, pigments produced microbe have a high potentials for natural dyeing on fabrics. Finally, development of new colourants from microbe has made a possible change for new dyeing field in respects of eco-friend and repeatability of natural dyeing for apparels.

위편성물 소재의 구성특성이 주관적 질감 및 감성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Weft Knit Structural Characteristics on the Subjective Texture and Sensibility)

  • The purpose of this study were to analyze the effect of weft knit structural characteristics on the subjective texture and sensibility. For this, the material was knitted into 8 kinds of weft plain knit fabrics with four kinds of fiber components such as wool, acryl, rayon, and nylon, 3 steps of densities and 3 steps of twist numbers to ply two yarns. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA and multidimensional scaling. From factor analysis, subjective textures were categorized as 'bulk/resilience', 'surface/density' and 'soft/drape', and subjective sensibilities were categorized as 'natural/comfortable', 'feminine/elegance' and 'stable/neat' Among the knit structural characteristics, the component of fibers and the density of fabrics were the important factors to give variations in texture and sensibility : In comparison with wool knit of medium density, the knit fabrics of other components and different densities each showed a unique texture and sensibility. But twist number to ply two yams had a few influence on subjective properties. As a result of MDS analysis, the texture and sensibility of plain weft knit fabrics was classified as 'thin-full', 'hard-soft', 'young-old' and 'warm-cool'.

초음파로 추출된 홍화색소의 특성 분석과 염색성 평가 (Physiochemical Properties and Dyeability of Safflower Colorants Extracted by Ultrasonic Treatment)

  • This study systematically investigated a method for extraction of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius Linnaeus) colorants by ultrasonic treatment. Compared to pigments productivity and cell wall structures of safflower after general and ultrasonic method, the ultrasonic method showed high extraction efficiency of safflower pigments due to destruction of safflower cell wall caused by high vibration energies. Microscopic analysis confirmed the hypothesis that the ultrasonic treatment of safflower caused its cell wall structure loosened and made efficient extraction of safflower pigments. And also, LC-MS/MS analysis revealed that productivities of the yellow and red safflower pigments by ultrasonic method were 21.9% and 14.6% higher, respectively, than those of pigments extracted by general method. The ultrasonic extracted yellow and red colorants could be used to dye not only natural fibers like cotton, silk and wool, but also synthetic fiber like nylon, and generally gave a better color tone than the general extracted colorants from safflower due to the affinities of red and yellow colorant on different fibers. As the yellow and red colorant were extracted by ultrasonic treatment in water, the K/S value on of 550/440nm of cotton and rayon was increased but in the case of silk and wool the change of this value was almost not detected. Finally, this technique might provide a solution to establish reproducibility and standardization for the extraction and dyeing methods on fabrics.

투습도 측정방법에 따른 스포츠웨어용 투습직물의 투습특성 (Breathability of Breathable Fabrics for Sportswear according to Measuring Method)

  • This study investigated water vapor permeability of the 73 breathable fabrics for sports-wear according to the materials, finishing methods and fabric structural parameters. The water vapor permeability by KS K 0594 method of PET breathable fabric was superior than that of nylon one, in addition, water vapor permeability of coated or laminated breathable fabrics were higher than those of hot melt or dot laminated fabrics. The water vapor permeability of breathable fabric was dependent on the thickness, weight and density, which was consistent with measuring method. However, water vapor permeability according to materials and finishing method showed different results according to measuring method. The correlation coefficient of WVP of PET breathable fabrics between ISO and KS K measuring methods was -0.83 and the correlation coefficient of WVP of coated breathable fabrics was -0.72 and -0.71 for KS K and ASTM and -0.72 for KS K and ISO in hot melt laminated breathable fabrics. According to regression analysis, WVP of PET breathable fabric by both KSK and ISO measuring methods was highly dependent upon on the density and weight. In addition, WVP of hot melt laminated breathable fabric was highly dependent upon thickness, weight and density. Therefore, relevant measuring method for WVP of breathable fabrics has to be adopted to measure precise breathability.

FRACTIONS, RUMINAL DISAPPEARANCE AND DIGESTION RATE OF DEER FEED NUTRIENTS ESTIMATED USING IN SITU BAG TECHNIQUE IN THE ARTIFICIAL RUMEN

  • A study was conducted to estimate nutritive value of forage sources used in deer diets. Bags containing feedstuffs were incubated four times for periods up to 72 hours in two chemostats filled with ruminal fluid from deer or cattle. Parameters estimated were water-soluble and $65{\mu}m$ filterable plus insoluble digestible fractions(No. = 4) and extent of disappearance(No. = 8) of feed neutral detergent fiber(NDF). Among tested feeds, the ranking of values of these parameters were soybean hulls > alfalfa pellets > corn cobs or rice straw > cottonseed hulls or rice hulls > sawdust, indicating that soybean hulls and alfalfa pellets were more fermentable than other agricultural residues. It is possible to utilize variability among tested feeds of fraction, disappearance rate and (or) extent of DM and NDF when these feeds are used as roughage sources in deer diets.

  • The demand for the lighter parts compels new composite materials composed of nylon66 and glass fiber to be used for the clutch control hydraulic system to achieve the low cost, light weight and the simple production process. In this paper the feasibility of using those composite materials for the clutch system has been investigated. And the efforts have been concentrated to enhance the durability and the credibility of the system. The procedure has been developed to design the clutch system to satisfy the categories mentioned above and to analyze the durability of the system and to setup a simulation program for the realistic driving situations.

강선의 편조각도에 따른 고압호스의 응력변화 특성 (Stress Variation Characteristics of a High-Pressure Hose with Respect to Wire Braid Angle)

  • A high-pressure hose includes rebar layers of the synthetic fiber such as nylon or a steel wire to control internal pressure. The hose assembly is manufactured through the swaging process to clamp the hose into the metal fittings. Usually, the hose behavior is affected by the resultant of the longitudinal and circumferential forces produced by the internal pressure. The rebar layers can appear the most ideal rebar effect when they are arranged to the same direction as the resultant force. The braid angle applied in the rebar layers is an important factor in determining ultimate burst pressure and overall hose life. Failure can occur on the contacted parts of a hose with the metal fittings under severe operating conditions such as high pressure and temperature of the inner fluid. In this paper, the mechanical behavior between the hose and the metal fittings during the swaging process and the stress variation characteristics of a high-pressure hose under a constant applied pressure are analyzed with respect to the braid angle of steel wire using the finite element method.

피혁 폐기물을 재활용한 재생가죽의 내노화특성 연구 (A Study on Anti-Aging Properties of Recycled Leather Using Shaving Scrap by Applying Antioxidant)

  • In this study, we investigated the durability properties of the recycled leather using shaving scrap with antioxidant. Recycled leather sheets were manufactured by mixing shaving scrap and NB latex as a binder. HALS(Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer) and UVA(UV absorbers) were used as antioxidant. Mechanical properties such as hardness, tensile strength, elongation, tear strength and abrasion resistance were measured. Light aging resistance was evaluated using UV lamp and the degree of discoloration of the recycled leather sheets using a gray scale. In addition, to evaluate heat aging and UV aging, the degree of discoloration of the recycled leather sheets over time was measured using colorimeter. Washing fastness was evaluated on the degree of dyeing of recycled leather sheets for six type of multi-fiber woven fabrics (Acetate, Cotton, Nylon-66, Polyester, Acryl, Wool). To determine whether hazardous substances were detected in recycled leather sheets, the contents of arylamine and Cr 6+ were evaluated. As a result, when used in combination with antioxidant, the heat aging and light aging of recycled leather were improved and hazardous substance were not detected.

사료 접종 방법에 의한 in vitro 반추위 발효 상성 변화 (Rumen Fermentation was Changed by Feed Inoculation Method in In Vitro)

  • 생물학적 평가 방법 중 in situ와 in vitro 평가 방법은 비용 및 시간을 절약할 수 있으며 동물 복지 측면에서 제약이 적어 주목되고 있는 방법이다. In vitro 실험에서 사용되는 사료 접종법으로 배양병에 직접 사료를 담는 dispersion 방법은 실제 반추위 발효 상황에 근접한 조건에서 실험할 수 있는 장점이 있지만, 시간과 노동력이 많이 소모된다. 반대로 사료 주머니를 이용한 방법은 실험 수행의 편이성이 있지만 첨가제 실험 수행의 제약이 있으며, 미생물 활성과 섬유소 소화율이 저하되는 단점이 있다. 본 실험은 dispersion 방법과 사료 주머니 방법을 조합하여 보다 편리한 방법으로 dispersion 에 가까운 높은 재현성의 발효 성상과 소화율 평가 가능할 것이라고 생각하여 in vitro 발효 성상과 미생물 조성을 비교하였다. Dispersion 방법과 nylon bag 을 조합한 실험에서 건물 소화율은 세척 과정에서 미생물 및 사료 입자의 유실로 과대평가될 수 있지만 이론적 최대 가스 발생량 Vmax, 가스 발생량에 대한 분해 속도 상수 Kg 에서 유의적 차이가 나타나지 않으며, IVNDFD, pH, NH3-N, total VFA 발생량 그리고 VFA 조성에서도 유의적 차이가 나지 않았다. Real-time PCR 을 이용한 미생물 조성 분석에서는 general bacteria의 절대량에서 유의적 차이가 나지 않았다. 상기의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, in vitro 실험에서 사료 주머니의 사용은 충분히 적용가능하며 일반적인 방법인 dispersion과 비교해 볼 때, 영양소 이용에 있어 반추미생물의 사료 접촉을 방해하지 않을 것으로 생각된다. 하지만 in vitro bach culture 방법은 배양조건에서 제약이 있어, 향후 연속 배양 방법과 in situ의 실험을 통해 본 실험의 실험결과에 대한 추가적인 규명이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

콘크리트 폭렬 저감에 대한 내화 피복재의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Fire-Resistant Coating Materials for Prevention of Concrete Spalling)

  • 최근 사용이 늘어나고 있는 고강도 콘크리트는 화재에 취약하여 고열에 의해 내부 수증기압의 상승으로 폭렬 현상이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 폭렬 현상의 방지 방안으로 유기질 섬유를 이용한 방법이 가장 많이 연구되고 있지만 이 방법은 결국 화재 후 콘크리트의 강도 저하를 초래하게 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 포비성 Alkali-Silicates계 내화재를 피복하여 유기질 섬유를 적용한 경우와 폭렬 특성 및 잔존 압축강도 특성을 검토하였다. 유기질 섬유의 혼입 방법으로 P.P, Nylon 섬유를 사용하였고, 내화 피복의 방법으로 포비성 Alkali-Silciates계 내화재를 사용하였다. 내화 시험은 자체 제작한 가열로에서 화염방사기를 이용하여 3시간 동안 화염 실험을 실시하였다. P.P 섬유를 혼입한 경우 폭렬은 방지 하였지만 잔존 압축강도는 측정할 수 없었고, 포비성 Alkali-Silicates계 내화재로 피복한 경우 폭렬 방지뿐만 아니라 잔존 압축강도가 최고 96%까지 유지되었다.
