Dyeing Performance of Disperse Dyes Based on 2-aminothiazole for Cellulose Triacetate and Nylon Fibers

  • A series of monoazo disperse dyes based on 2-amino-4-phenylthiazole was prepared using various N,N-dialkvlaniline derivatives as the coupling component. The dyes were characterized by IR spectral studies, visible absorption spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The dyeing performance of these dyes was assessed on cellulose triacetate and nylon fibers. These dyes were found to give a wide range of colour shades varying from bright red to royal blue with very good depth, brightness and levelness on fibers. The dyed fibers showed good to very good light fastness and very good to excellent fastness to washing, perspiration, rubbing and sublimation. The dyebath exhaustion and fixation on the fibers were found to be very good.

  • Dyebath used for metal complex dyeing of nylon microfiber was recycled to reduce the overall amounts of metal complex dyeing effluents. Instead of discharging the dyebath after each dyeing cycle, the residual dyebath was analyzed spectrophotometrically and reconstituted to the required concentration of dyes and auxiliaries. Dyebaths were reused eight times and the CIELAB coordinates of dyed samples were measured after each recycling. Color difference($\Delta$E*) between the sample dyed in the fresh bath and that from reused dyebath was maintained below 1.5. The levelness and fastness of dyed fabrics from recycled dyebath were not impaired either. Chromium content of each recycled dyebath was similar to that of the first residual dyebath.

  • In foam dyebath assisted with and without solvent (iso-propylacohol) for polyester and polyester(30%)/nylon(70%) (P3/N7) nonwoven fabrics, adsorption behavior of polyester and P3/N7 nonwovens dyed with C.I. Disperse Red 4 (Red 4), C.I. Acid Violet 54(Violet 54) and Red 4/Violet 54 were investigated by determining the K/S value. The K/S values of polyester and P3/N7 nonwovens in the foam dyeing was greatly enchanced by adding the iso-propylalcohol, but these values were not higher than the carrier dyeing. Dyeabilities of polyester/nylon blended nonwoven fabrics to Red 4, Violet 54 and Red 4/Violet 54 in the foam dyeing were influenced by the affinity of dye to fiber.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop multifunctional fabric that was improved antimicrobial activity and reduction rate of gas by treatment of mixture that was blended chito colla ad crosslinking material for Nylon. Antimicrobial activity was proved 99% reduction rat of gas in case of treated was icreased. The surface of treated fiber noted harshness and irregularity. Whiteness of treated on the baking condition was decreased as time and temperature was increased. Air permeability and moisure regain of treated equally was maintained. Water absorption and static voltage of treated were increased. KOSHI and T.H.V. of treated was increased than that of untreated B/W of treated was improved that, that of untreated and 2HB/B. W/T of treated were reduced.

Decolorization of Aqueous Caprolactam Solution by Anion-exchange Resins

  • Caprolactam is the most important raw material for making Nylon 6 fibers and its quality directly determines the quality of Nylon. So it is necessary to study the techniques and methods to remove the colorful impurities from caprolactam. In this paper, the decolorization of caprolactam aqueous solution by anion exchange resins was studied and the decoloring abilities of five commercial resins were investigated. The regeneration of the resins was also studied, too. This study shows that the resin AMTX202 have excellent decoloring ability in the column experiment and that the decoloring efficiency is correlated with the volume of resins packed and is slightly affected by the flow rate and regenerating times. The fact that the resins can be regenerated and reused without affecting the efficiency of decolorization will decrease the cost of the treatment and operation in the industry. The adsorption of colored compounds with anion exchange resins in the packed columns seems to be technically feasible.

  • 본 논문은 중공형 층상 복합체 멘드릴(mandrel)을 이용하여 기본 공진주파수가 15kHz이상이고, 우수한 감도 특성을 지닌 광섬유 하이드로폰의 최적 구조를 설계하는 것에 관한 것이다. 유한요소법을 이용하여 Al/foraming 및 Nylon/foaming층상 복합체의 공지주 파수를 분석하여 설계 변수의 범위를 결정하였고, 멘드릴 형상에 따른 광음향 감도 특성을 분석하여 최적구조를 결정하였다. 그 결과로 멘드릴의 외경이 감소할수록, 길이가 증가할수 록 감도가 향상되었다. AL 멘드릴의 경우, 내경/외경 비가 낮을수록, Nylon멘드릴의 경우 내경/외경 비가 높을수록 감도 증가를 위하여 효율적이다. 그리고 결정된 최적구조의 Al/foaming 및 Nylon/foaming멘드릴을 사용한 광섬유 하이드로폰의 감도는 각각 1rad./Pa 대비 약 82dB 및 85.7dB 정도 이었고, Al층상 복합체 보다는 Nylon층상 복합체를 이용하는 것이 고 감도의 광섬유 하이드로폰을 제조하는데 유리함을 알 수 있었다.

  • The fracture toughness and crack propagation behaviors of short nylon66 fiber reinforced Chloroprene rubber nave been Investigated as functions of fiber aspect ratio, fiber content and interphase conditions. The J for crack initiation and rupture were determined for short-fiber reinforced rubber. The values of $J_c$ for most reinforced rubbers were low compared that of matrix. But, $J_r$ at rupture showed a higher value than that of matrix. The crack propagation behaviors were analyzed into 3 patterns with increasing fiber aspect ratio and fiber content. The tearing mechanisms of matrix and fiber reinforced rubber were observed by CCD camera focused on the tip of crack and load-displacement graph. Both cases showed a completely different behaviors

  • In this study, it evaluate mecahnical performance and impact resistance performance of fiber reinforced concrete, fiber reinforced mortar and preplace grout mortar. steel fiber, nylon fiber and polypropylene fiber are reinforced 1vol.% 2vol.% 10vol.% by each fiber type. It evaluate impact resistance performance to use projectile 10mm of 400m/s velocity. As a result, mechnical performance and impact resistance performance of fiber reinforced preplace grout mortar are improved a lot by 10% fiber reinforced ratio.

순환 굵은골재 사용 콘크리트의 성능향상을 위한 나일론 섬유의 적용성 연구 (Application of Nylon Fiber for Performance Improvement of Recycled Coarse Aggregate Concrete)

  • 최근 양질의 천연골재의 부족으로 인하여 콘크리트용 순환골재의 적용성에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 순환골재는 다량의 부착모르타르를 포함하고 있어 콘크리트의 강도감소, 내구성 저하, 균열발생의 원인이 되기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 순환 굵은골재 콘크리트의 역학적 성능 및 내구성에 대한 나일론 섬유의 영향에 대하여 실험적으로 고찰하였다. 섬유보강 순환골재 콘크리트 공시체를 제조하기 위하여 나일론 섬유를 0. 0.6 및 $1.2kg/m^3$의 3단계로 혼입하였으며, 콘크리트의 압축 및 쪼갬 인장강도, 흡수율, 투수공극량 및 총통과전하량을 측정하여 섬유보강 부순골재 콘크리트와 비교, 고찰하였다. 또, 수화생성물, 천이지대 등 미세조직구조를 관찰하기 위하여 재령 28일 콘크리트에 대하여 주사형전자현미경(SEM) 분석을 실시하였다. 본 실험에서 도출된 실험결과에 의하면, 순환골재 콘크리트는 부순골재 콘크리트에 비하여 성능이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났으나, 순환골재 콘크리트에 나일론 섬유를 혼입할 경우, 나일론 섬유의 가교작용으로 인하여 시멘트 매트릭스의 부착력을 증진시켜 콘크리트의 성능을 개선시키는 것으로 조사되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 강섬유 및 나일론섬유를 적용한 섬유보강 콘크리트의 역학적 성능 및 내동해성을 실험적으로 평가하였다. 콘크리트의 역학적 성능 및 내동해성에 대한 섬유보강재의 효과를 평가하기 위하여 100 % 1종 보통포틀랜드시멘트(OPC) 콘크리트 및 50 % 대체 고로슬래그미분말(SGC) 콘크리트를 제조하였으며, 소정의 재령에서 압축 및 인장강도, 초음파펄스속도, 표면전기저항을 각각 측정하였으며, ASTM C666에 준하여 콘크리트의 상대동탄성계수 및 질량비를 측정하여 동결융해 저항성을 평가하였다. 실험결과에 의하면, 섬유보강재는 콘크리트의 역학적 성능을 효과적으로 개선시켰으며, 이러한 경향은 강섬유 적용 SGC 콘크리트에서 두드러지게 나타났다.
