농경지 양분관리를 위한 양분수지 지표와 양분부하 지표간의 비교 (Comparison of nutrient balance and nutrient loading index for cultivated land nutrient management)

  • 최근 농경지 투입양분으로 인한 환경영향의 우려와 함께 하천 등으로 유출되는 양분의 오염부하 관리가 요구되고 있다. 이에 정부는 국내 농지의 양분 과잉 투입 문제를 해결하기 위해 농경지의 양분관리 목표를 설정하여 관리하는 양분관리제도의 도입을 추진하고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 합리적인 양분관리제도 도입을 위한 양분관리 지표 기준을 설정하고자 도 단위의 양분부하와 양분수지 지표를 분석하고 지표별 특성을 비교 검토하였다. 도 단위 질소와 인성분의 양분부하와 양분수지 분석에서 지역별 양분부하 순위와 양분수지 순위가 다르게 나타나, 지역의 양분수준을 평가하는데 있어 양분부하와 양분수지의 두 지표는 서로 상이한 지표 값을 도출하는 것으로 나타났다. 양분부하와 양분수지 간의 상관관계 분석에서 질소성분의 경우 상관관계 계수(r)는 0.2504로서 5% 유의수준에서 통계적 유의성이 없었으며, 인성분의 경우 상관관계 계수(r)가 0.7375로서 5% 유의수준에서 통계적 유의성이 인정되었다. 따라서 양분관리 지표활용에 있어 인성분의 경우 양분부하와 양분수지 간의 상호 호환성이 나타났으나, 질소 성분의 경우 양분부하와 양분수지 간의 상호 호환성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지역의 양분관리 지표로서 농업환경 특성을 반영하는 양분수지 지표의 활용이 합리적인 것으로 평가되었다.

대학생들의 지방 섭취 형태와 에너지 균형 및 활동도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dietary Atherogenesity, Energy Balance and Activity Level of College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate selected nutrient intakes, dietary atherogenesity, energy balance and activity level of college students. One hundred and thirty onoe students (61 males and 70 females) made their three-day dietary records and one-day activity records along with one-day dietary records. BMI of the surveyed students was 22.33 for males and 20.28 for females. Average calorie intakes of male and female students was respectively 2166.20kcal and 1793.60kcal. Females had slightly higher fiber intakes than males in terms of fiber g/1000kcal. Carbohydrate, protein and fat ratios in energy composition of males and females were respectively 56.62 : 15.33 : 24.70 and 57.64 : 16.49 : 25.79. Average cholesterol intakes of male and female students were 295.66mg and 259mg respectively. The male showed higher saturated fat intake. and had higher atherogenic indices of diets such as cholesterol index(CI) and cholesterol-saturated fat index(CSI) than the female. Males spent an average of 1039.00 kcal/day compared to females of 687.93 kcal/day for all physical activities. Most students participated in light (100% of males and females) and moderate (33% of males and 3% of females) activities level. Few students spent time at severe and very severe activity level. Seventeen of the 131 students were in positive energy balance whereas 83% were in negative balance. Both genders with positive energy balance tended towards smaller weight and BMI, and larger food intakes than those with negative energy balance. Students with positive energy balance had higher saturated fat intakes and dietary atherogenic scores of CI and CSI than the counterparts with negative energy balance. Males with positive energy balance had decreased physical activity and daily energy expenditure whereas increased food and saturated fat intakes. Females with positive energy balance had singificantly increased food, saturated fat and sugar intakes.

사질논에서 벼 재배기간 중 시비방법별 양분수지 (Nutrient Balance during Rice Cultivation in Sandy Soil affected by the Fertilizer Management)

  • 상수원 보호지역내 하성충적토의 사력질 벼 재배 논에서 표준시비 농가관행시비, 우분, 우분퇴비, 볏짚퇴비+화학비료감비, 볏짚환원+표준시비 그리고 무비구의 7처리를 하여 벼 재배 과정동안 시비관리방법에 따른 수량과 양분수지 특성을 조사하여 환경친화적 영농방법 설정을 시도하였다. 시비방법에 따른 정조수량은 추천시비구(100)와 우분구(100)에서 가장 우수하였으며, 화학비료 감비구(98) 볏짚환원구(98), 우분퇴비(94), 농가관행구(94) 순으로 감소하는 경향을 보였으나 처리간 통계적 유의성은 없었다. 질소수지는 농가관행구에서 $+39kg\;ha^{-1}$였으며. 유기물 처리구는 $+44{\sim}76kg\;ha^{-1}$로서 동일 포장조건에서 유기물 처리량이 증가할수록 양분수지의 +값이 커, 질소의 지하용탈량이 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 무기태 질소의 지하용탈량은 화학비료만 시용한 추천시비구($58kg\;ha^{-1}$)와 농가관행구($63kg\;ha^{-1}$)에서 가장 높았으며, 퇴비+화학비료 감비처리나 우분이나 우분퇴비로서 화학비료를 대체한 처리는($23{\sim}27kg\;ha^{-1}$) 화학비료 전용구(R. CF)의 절반 이하 수준($25kg\;ha^{-1}$)까지 줄일 수 있었다. 벼 재배기간중 인산의 지하용탈은 거의 없었다. 우분퇴비구(CMC)의 인산의 수지는 $+30kg\;ha^{-1}$으로 장기 연용에 따라 토양내 인산 축적이 가능성이 있을것으로 예측되며, 다른 처리의 인산 수지는 거의 0에 가까워 벼농사에서의 인산의 시비균형은 비교적 잘 이루어졌다. 칼리의 양분수지는 모든 처리에서 음(-)의 값을 보여 토양내 칼리가 용출되어 작물에 의해 흡수, 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 기존의 화학비료 위주의 추천시비 방식과 양평군 지역에서 주로 이용되고 있는 관행적 시비방법을 우분과 같은 유기질 비료로 적절히 대체 시용하거나, 볏짚퇴비의 환원 등을 통해 화학비료 사용량을 줄임으로써 벼의 수량을 높이면서 오염물질의 지하 유출을 크게 줄일 수 있었다.

중.노년층에서 연령증가에 따른 영양소 및 식품섭취의 양적, 질적 변화에 대한 종단적 연구 (A Longitudinal Study on the Change of Nutrients and Food Consumption with Advance in Age among Middle-aged and the Elderly)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate diet quality and changes in nutrient and food intake with increase in age. Subjects were 69 patients(28 males, 41 females) living in Jeon-ju city, over middle-aged, and they were the same patients studied 4-7 years ago in a previous study. Dietary survey with one day 24-hour recall method was used. Energy, calcium, vitamin A and vitamin B$_2$intakes were lower than the RDA and vitamin C was in excessive status in pre-test and post-test. In food groups examrned, the consumption of potatoes, beans, vegetables, seaweeds, beverages, seasonings, oils, fish & shells and milks was increased amount than 4-7 years before but the consumption of cereals(p<0.01), sugars, seeds, fruits, processed food, meats and eggs was decreased. Diet quality was assessed by %RDA, nutrient adequacy ratio(NAR), mean adequacy ratio(MAR), dietary diversity score(DDS), meal balance and food group pattern. In %RDA, those proportion of appropriate intake in post-test in were higher than those in pre-test. For most nutrient except vitamin A, the levels of NAR in post-test were higher than in pretest. The MAR, an index of overall dietary quality, was 0.77 for pre-test and 0.83 for post-test(p<0.05). When we counted the major food groups consumed(KDDS), 62.3% of subjects had a KDDS of 3 in pre-test and 42.0% of subjects had a KDDS of 4 in post-test. Based on these results, in terms of variety and balance, total diet quality was improved with advancing of age.

체중조절 프로그램이 성인 비만 여성의 영양소 섭취량 및 운동 능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Weight Control Program on Nutrient Intakes and Physical Fitness in Obese Korean Adult Women)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of weight control program on nutrient intakes and physical fitness of Korean obese adult women. The subjects of this study were 33 obese adult women aged 30-65 years residing in Seoul. The weight control program for obese women included nutrition education, cognitive behavioral therapy and exercise for 12 weeks. There were significant decrease (p < 0.001) of blood pressure and atherogenic index of obese women after the weight control program. Energy intake was significantly decreased (p < 0.001) from 1556.9kcal to 1044.9kcal after 12 weeks of the weight control program. Also protein, fat and carbohydrate intakes were significantly decreased. The ratio of energy intakes per day for the subjects was carbohydrate 64% : protein 16% : fat 20%. The frequency of vegetables intakes was significantly increased (p < 0.05) and there were no significant differences in other food groups. After the weight control program, muscle endurance, flexibility, balance and explosive muscular strength of subject's physical fitness were significantly improved. These results suggest that the weight control program for obese women may contribute to nutrient intakes reduction and improvement of physical fitness.

한국형 광역친환경 논 농업단지 토양의 시기별 양분 분석 (Seasonal Nutrient Analysis of Paddy Soils in Korean Type of Large Scale Environment-friendly Agricultural District)

  • 본 시험은 전국의 광역친환경 농업단지 중에서 모범적으로 친환경 농업을 실천하고 있는 3곳(장흥, 순천, 옥천)의 벼 농가를 대상으로 시기별로 양분 분석을 하였다. 장흥지역 농가만이 경축자원 순환농업을 실천하고 있는 것으로 관찰되었다. 광역친환경 벼 농업단지의 3~9월 사이의 시기별 토양 pH는 5.5~6.7의 분포를 보였고, EC는 $0.4{\sim}1.0dS\;m^{-1}$으로 나타났다. 시기별 토양 전질소는 순천 농가에서 높았고 칼륨은 옥천 농가에서 낮은 수준을 보였다. 시기별 토양 암모늄태 질소는 봄철 비료 시용으로 6월 전후에 상승하였고, 장흥 농가에서 가장 높은 수준을 보이다가 이후 크게 감소하였다. 수량과 수확지수가 가장 높았던 옥천 농가에서 ha당 연간 조수입이 다른 농가보다 세배 가까이 높은 수준을 보였다. 비교적 많은 비료를 투입한 옥천 농가에서 시기별 양분수지가 높았고, 순천 농가의 ha당 칼륨 수지는 9월에 약 -60 kg까지 관찰되어 칼륨 결핍에 따른 생산성 저하에 일부 영향을 주었을 것으로 추정되었다. 시기별 전질소와 인산수지는 장흥 농가에서 가장 낮은 수준을 보였고 벼 낟알의 질소이용효율도 가장 높아서 광역친환경 농업단지의 추천할 만한 사례 농가로 평가되었다.

전주지역 30세이상 성인의 성별, 연령에 따른 식사의 길 (Diet Qualities by Sex and Age of Adults Over Thirty Years Old in Jeon-ju Area)

  • This study was performed to assess diet qualities by sexes and ages of adults over thirty years old in Jeon-ju area. Diet survey with one day 24-recall method was used done for 382 subjects(129 males & 253 females). Survey sample was divided into six groups by sex and age groups: male 30-49, male 50-64, male 50-64, male 65-79, female 30-49, female 50-64 and female 65-79 years. Diet quality was assessed by NAR(Nutrient Adequacy Ratio), MAR(Mean Adequacy Ratio), INQ(Index of nutrition quality), KDDS(Koreans Dietary Diversity Score), Meal Balance, DVS(Dietary Variety Score), DQI(Diet Quality Index). The 5-point DQI assessed the important dietary guidelines for Koreans. The averages of energy, protein, P, vitamin B$_1$, vitamin B$_2$, niacin and vitamin C intakes were higher than 70% of RDA. The averages intakes of Ca and vitamin A were very lower than RDA all groups. The averages of MAR were 0.78, 0.81, 0.83 in male 30-49, 50-64, 64-79 years, 0.73, 0.77, 0.71 and in female 30-49, 50-64, 65-79 years, respectively. The averages of MAR in female 30-49 years and female 65-79 years were significantly lower than the averages MAR of male 65-79 years. The averages of Sugars and Beverages intakes were significantly higher in male 30-49 years than others. Animal food intake ratio(% total food intake) in the male 65-79 years(16%) was significantly higher than male 30-49 years(11%). The averages of Nutrition intakes were higher in male compared to female. The subjects who consumed all of the major five food groups were 5% in male 30-49, 17.8% in male 50-64, 25.0% in male 65-79 years, 18.9% in female 30-49, 23.7% in female 50-64, 11.5% in female 65-79 years. The averages of KDDS were 3.5, 3.9, 3.9, 3.8, 3.8, 3.5, respectively. The averages of Meal Balance were 8.6, 9.1, 9.1, 8.3, 8.4, 7.8, respectively. The averages of DVS 20.1, 19.9, 19.9, 20.5, 19.0, 17.2, respectively. The averages of DQI were 1.7, 2.2, 2.1, 2.0, 2.1, 1.7, respectively. 81.8% of the subjects had KDDS scores of 2 to 4 and 87.3% of the subjects has Meal Balance scores 4 to 10. In contrast, 89.8% of the subjects had DQI scores of 0 to 3. In view of these facts there are few who observed the five dietary guidelines for Koreans. There findings suggest that dietary qualities were associated with nutrient intake the relation factors may vary by sex and age of adults over thirty years old in Jeon-ju area. Common problems were lack of Ca, vitamin A and dairy products intakes. Therefore adults over thirty years old in Jeon-ju area need the important nutrient management such as Ca, vitamin A. 농촌 지역 일부 노인에서 신체 기능 정도에 따른 활동 제한도, 비만도 및 영양소 섭취 수준의 변화 양상 비교 (Comparison of Self-living Ability, Obesity Indices and Nutrient Intake according to Physical Fitness among the Elderly in Rural Areas)

  • Aging is associated with decreased energy expenditure, thermogenesis and energy requirements. Maintenance of physical fitness of the elderly has been reported to reduce the rate at which the basal metabolic rate, muscle strength, skeletal muscle mass and bone density deteriorate. Skeletal muscle disease is known to increase the risk of physical disability and psychological problems. This study was conducted to investigate changes in disability, emotional problems, body compositions, obesity indices and nutrient intake levels according to physical fitness with the elderly in rural areas. According to the results, physical fitness was negatively related with Activities of Daily Living(ADL, p<0.05), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living(IADL, p<0.001), Body Mass Index(BMI, p<0.001) and abdominal obesity(p<0.05), while it showed a positive correlation with the General Self Efficacy Scale(GSES)(p<0.001) and nutrient intake(p<0.05). When changes in these factors were compared according to the range of quartile of the Fullerton Advanced Balance Scale(FAB Scale), GSES(Q1=35.3, Q2=43.5, Q3=53.2, Q4=51.9, p<0.001), BMI(Q1=36.1%, Q2=34.7%, Q3=33.2%, Q4=28.6%, p<0.01), abdominal obesity(Q1=1.02, Q2=0.99, Q3=0.97, Q4=0.94, p<0.001) and nutrient intake(Q1=71.1%, Q2=75.4%, Q3=80.6%, Q4=80.2%, p<0.05) differed significantly. Taken together, these results suggested that better physical fitness would lead to a reduction in negative factors including physical disability and obesity indices, but to an increase in positive factors such as GSES and nutrient intake. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for the development of programs to promote the health of the elderly in a local society.

폐경 후 골다공증 여성과 정상 여성의 영양소 섭취상태와 식사의 질 평가에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparison between Postmenopausal Osteoporotic Women and Normal Women of Their Nutrient Intakes and the Evaluation of Diet Quality)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the nutrient intake and diet quality of postmenopausal osteoporotic women to those of control subjects, and to investigate the relationship among diet quality and bone mineral density in postmenopausal women. In this study, we classified the subjects into the postmenopausal osteoporotic women (n =38) and control (n = 43) according to their lumbar spine bone mineral density and age. Dietary intakes, anthropometric measurements and dietary quality indices were measured and evaluated. The average age of osteoporotic and control group were 60.4 yrs and 58.3 yrs, respectively and there was no significant difference. Body weight, body mass index of osteoporotic group were significantly lower than those of control group. The average energy intake of osteoporotic and control group were 1243.3 kcal and 1475.8 kcal, respectively and there was a significant difference. The osteoporotic group consumed significantly lower quantities of protein, plant protein, vitamin A, vitamin $B_1,\;vitamin\;B_2$, folate, vitamin C, calcium, animal calcium, plant calcium, iron and zinc compared to the control group. The osteoporotic group consumed significantly lower of food, vegetables, mushrooms, fruits intakes compared to the control group. In the diet quality, protein, vitamin A, vitamin $B_1,\;vitamin\;B_2$, folate, vitamin C, calcium, iron, Zinc nutrient adequacy ratio (NAR) of osteoporotic group were significantly lower than that of control group. Mean adequacy ratio (MAR) of osteoporotic and control group were 0.63 and 0.78, respectively and there was significant difference. To evaluate nutrient density, Index of nutritional quality (INQ) was calculated by dividing nutrient content per 1,000 kcal of diet with RDA per 1,000 kcal. The average dietary variety score (DVS) of osteoporotic and control group were 22.4 and 33.2, respectively and there was significant difference. DVSs of pulses (p<0.01), seeds (p<0.01) and vegetables (p<0.05) in osteoporotic group were significantly lower than those of the control. In conclusion, postmenopausal osteoporotic women had lower protein, vitamin A, folate, vitamin C, calcium, iron zinc intake quality and vegetables, mushrooms, fruits DVSs than those of the control. Therefore, to promote skeletal health enough energy and food should be consumed, and the maintenance of vitamin and mineral balance by increasing of vitamin A, folate, vitamin C, calcium, iron of intakes are very important.

Evaluation of nutrient intake and diet quality of gastric cancer patients in Korea

  • This study was conducted to identify dietary factors that may affect the occurrence of gastric cancer in Koreans. Preoperative daily nutrition intake and diet quality of patients diagnosed with gastric cancer were evaluated. Collected data were comparatively analyzed by gender. The results were then used to prepare basic materials to aid in the creation of a desirable postoperative nutrition management program. The subjects of this study were 812 patients (562 men and 250 women) who were diagnosed with gastric cancer and admitted for surgery at Soonchunhyang University Hospital between January 2003 and December 2010. Nutrition intake and diet quality were evaluated by the 24-hr recall method, the nutrient adequacy ratio, mean adequacy ratio (MAR), nutrient density (ND), index of nutritional quality (INQ), dietary variety score (DVS), and dietary diversity score (DDS). The rate of skipping meals and eating fast, alcohol consumption, and smoking were significantly higher in males than those in females. The levels of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, phosphorous, sodium, potassium, vitamin $B_1$, vitamin $B_2$, niacin, and cholesterol consumption were significantly higher in males than those in females. Intake of fiber, zinc, vitamin A, retinol, carotene, folic acid were significantly higher in females than those in males. MAR in males was significantly higher (0.83) than that in females (0.79). INQ values were higher in females for zinc, vitamin A, vitamin $B_2$, vitamin $B_6$, and folic acid than those in males. The average DVS was 17.63 for females and 13.19 for males. The average DDS was 3.68 and the male's average score was 3.44, whereas the female's average score was 3.92. In conclusion, males had more dietary habit problems and poor nutritional balance than those of females. Our findings suggest that proper nutritional management and adequate dietary education for the primary prevention of gastric cancer should be emphasized in men.
