  • The purpose of this study is to propose rules that can identify the speaker referred by the speaker directive in the text for the realization of a machine learning-based virtual character using a literary text. Through previous studies, we found that when applying literary texts to machine learning, the machine did not properly discriminate the speaker without any specific rules for the analysis of speaker directives such as other names, nicknames, pronouns, and so on. As a way to solve this problem, this study proposes 'nine rules for finding a speaker indicated by speaker directives (including pronouns)': location, distance, pronouns, preparatory subject/preparatory object, quotations, number of speakers, non-characters directives, word compound form, dispersion of speaker names. In order to utilize characters within a literary text as virtual ones, the learning text must be presented in a machine-comprehensible way. We expect that the rules suggested in this study will reduce trial and error that may occur when using literary texts for machine learning, and enable smooth learning to produce qualitatively excellent learning results.

  • This study aims to verify the possibility of using the blog mining to collect public opinion in the field of housing policy, thus, it collected blog posts with the keyword 'Happy Housing', extracted the main keywords from them, and analyzed the public's perception through keyword and word cluster analysis. 137,002 blog posts were used as analysis data from May 2013, when social discussion about happy housing spread, to August 2021, and the words derived by dividing the period into three stages in consideration of major housing policies and data collection were analyzed. The results are as follows. In the keyword analysis, overall, the importance of words related to the location, the number, the size, and the conditions for occupancy of Happy Housing is high. In the first stage, government policy implementation, in the second stage, the application process for Happy Housing, and in the third stage, recruitment notices, occupancy qualifications, and rental conditions are found to be highly important. In cluster analysis, project progress, application process, and project area were drawn as main themes at all stages. In particular, policy implementation and implementation plan in the first stage, occupancy qualification and financial support in the second stage, and policy implementation and occupancy qualification in the third stage were drawn as main themes. These results present the possibility of the blog mining as a method of collecting public opinion by sharing policy-related information, reflecting social issues, evaluating whether policies are delivered, and inferring the public's participation in policies.

  • This study aims to propose a scaffolding strategy that can be applied to the information search process by using Kuhlthau's ISP model, which presented a design and implementation strategy for the mediation role in the learning process. To this end, the relevant literature was reviewed to categorize scaffolding strategies, and impressions were collected from the students surveys after providing 150 middle school students in the Daejeon area with the project class to which the scaffolding strategy based on the ISP model was applied. The collected data were processed into a form suitable for analysis through data preprocessing for word frequencies to be extracted, and topic analysis was performed using STM (Structural Topic Modeling). First, after determining the optimal number of topics and extracting topics for each stage of the ISP model, the extracted topics were classified into three types: cognitive domain-macro perspective, cognitive domain-micro perspective, and emotional domain perspective. In this process, we focused on cognitive verbs and emotional verbs among words extracted through text mining, and presented a scaffolding strategy model related to each topic by reviewing representative document cases. Based on the results of this study, if an appropriate scaffolding strategy is provided at the ISP model stage, a positive effect on learners' self-directed task solving can be expected.

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to construct a job-exposure matrix for lead that accounts for industry and work processes within industries using a nationwide exposure database. Methods: We used the work environment measurement data (WEMD) of lead monitored nationwide from 2015 to 2016. Industrial hygienists standardized the work process codes in the database to 37 standard process and extracted key index words for each process. A total of 37 standardized process codes were allocated to each measurement based on an automated key word search based on the degree of agreement between the measurement information and the standard process index. Summary statistics, including the arithmetic mean, geometric mean, and 95th percentile level (X95), was calculated according to industry, process, and industry process. Using statistical parameters of contrast and precision, we compared the similarity of exposure groups by industry, process, and industry process. Results: The exposure intensity of lead was estimated for 583 exposure groups combined with 128 industry and 35 process. The X95 value of the "casting" process of the "manufacture of basic precious and non-ferrous metals" industry was 53.29 ㎍/m3, exceeding the occupational exposure limit of 50 ㎍/m3. Regardless of the limitation of the minimum number of samples in the exposure group, higher contrast was observed when the exposure groups were by industry process than by industry or process. Conclusion: We evaluated the exposure intensities of lead by combination of industry and process. The results will be helpful in determining more accurate information regarding exposure in lead-related epidemiological studies.

  • Intellectual structure analysis, which quantitatively identifies the structure, characteristics, and sub-domains of fields, has rapidly increased in recent years. Analysis techniques traditionally used to conduct intellectual structure analysis research include bibliographic coupling analysis, co-citation analysis, co-occurrence analysis, and author bibliographic coupling analysis. This study proposes a novel intellectual structure analysis method, Keyword Bibliographic Coupling Analysis (KBCA). The Keyword Bibliographic Coupling Analysis (KBCA) is a variation of the author bibliographic coupling analysis, which targets keywords instead of authors. It calculates the number of references shared by two keywords to the degree of coupling between the two keywords. A set of 1,366 articles in the field of 'Open Data' searched in the Web of Science were collected using the proposed KBCA technique. A total of 63 keywords that appeared more than 7 times, extracted from 1,366 article sets, were selected as core keywords in the open data field. The intellectual structure presented by the KBCA technique with 63 key keywords identified the main areas of open government and open science and 10 sub-areas. On the other hand, the intellectual structure network of co-occurrence word analysis was found to be insufficient in the overall structure and detailed domain structure. This result can be considered because the KBCA sufficiently measures the relationship between keywords using the degree of bibliographic coupling.

  • This paper is intended to examine and analyze the new Chinese words as the result of culture content. The development of the Korean entertainment industry has created a Korean wave around the world. Through this, many Korean words, Internet vocabulary, and cultural concepts have begun to enter China. Among them, there are many new words that have appeared on the Chinese Internet due to the culture content. As the number of Korean fans and Korean learners increases, new words on the Internet are widely used. The new Chinese words, which are influenced by Korean cultural content, are considered an important part of new Chinese vocabulary. To accurately recognize and understand this, first of all six categories of the new Chinese words were analyzed, which were figurative meaning, substitution, loan of foreign words, abbreviation, compound word, derivation. This formulation also works on the Chinese words with the influence of cultural content. There are three types of the Internet new words form Korean cultural. Which were new words in Chinese characters, new words in alphabets, extended meanings. And had analyzed new words through the acquisition of new meanings. Also took specific news titles and songs according to each category. Through new Chinese words, The influence of cultural content had been confirmed. It is expected that these new Chinese words enrich Chinese vocabulary, also help to facilitate communication. And these new Chinese words are often used in public media or in everyday life. We should recognize the existence of these new Chinese words, and have an accurate perception of them.

  • Both companies and consumers are highly interested in on-line customer reviews which enable consumers to share their experience and knowledge about products. In this study, after classifying real reviews into context units and deriving categories, we analyzed differences between categories based on channel(manufacturers' homepage/ shopping mall), product attribute(search/experience) and price(high/low). The method to derive categories is based on roughly adopting constructs of ACSI model and elaborate and repetitive classification of real reviews. We set up the classification category with 3 levels. Level 1 consists of product and service, level 2 consists of function, design, price, purchase motive, suggestion/user-tip and recommendation/repurchase in product and AS/up-grade and delivery/others in service and level 3 is composed of details of level 2 of category. We could find remarkable differences between channels in all 8 items of level 2 of category. As the number of context units in homepage is more than in shopping mall, we found reviews in homepage is more concrete. Moreover, overall satisfaction in review was higher at homepage's. Also, in product attribute dimension, we found different patterns of reviews in design, purchase motive, suggestion/user-tip, recommendation/repurchase, AS/up-grade and delivery/others and no difference in overall customer's satisfaction. In price dimension, we found differences between high and low price in design, price and AS/up-grade and no difference in overall customer's satisfaction.

  • With the growth of the food-catering industry, consumer preferences and the number of dine-in restaurants are gradually increasing. Thus, personalized recommendation services are required to select a restaurant suitable for consumer preferences. Previous studies have used questionnaires and star-rating approaches, which do not effectively depict consumer preferences. Online reviews are the most essential sources of information in this regard. However, previous studies have aggregated online reviews into long documents, and traditional machine-learning methods have been applied to these to extract semantic representations; however, such approaches fail to consider the surrounding word or context. Therefore, this study proposes a novel review textual-based restaurant recommendation model (RT-RRM) that uses deep learning to effectively extract consumer preferences from online reviews. The proposed model concatenates consumer-restaurant interactions with the extracted high-level semantic representations and predicts consumer preferences accurately and effectively. Experiments on real-world datasets show that the proposed model exhibits excellent recommendation performance compared with several baseline models.

  • The astronomic observatory of Graw Village is located on Mount Dari Lolikan, facing the village. Graw is located in the foothills of Mount Ser-i-Rash, 25 km northeast of Erbil Governorate, Iraq. This study attempts to clarify the foundations of this observatory, its components, as well as the founder and the date of its establishment. The study made efforts to clarify the benefits of this calendar to local residents in their daily lives. The database for this study is based on direct observation of the observatory station. The observation included the recording date and position of sunset and the appearance of stars throughout the year. Observation and documentation for both sunset and stars were performed over several years due to weather conditions since observation was not possible on foggy and rainy days and nights. Each observation took five to ten minutes depending on the clarity of the sky. The observatory consists of a group of stone cones. Each cone was built by stones in a specific location after careful and long observation of the sunset. Efforts were made to observe the disappearance and reappearance of the stars based on the change in the position of the Earth in relation to the sun. Graw's calendar helped to recognize important times of the year, such as the winter and summer forties, which were very important, especially when snow covered the roads, transportation stopped, crops spoiled, and pets stayed in their barn. The most important features of the winter forties are the memories, experiences, and minds of the villagers' ancestors. The forties were associated with the arrival of cold and heavier rain throughout the year, which is consistent with modern science, as the angle at which the Earth rotates increases the number and activity of weather depressions that affect the study area during this period. This observatory has a close connection with the daily life of the villagers, especially in the past centuries. It helped the people of the area in their appointments to carry out their work in the field of agriculture. The observatory was also of great importance in the field of education in the past centuries, especially in traditional religious schools. It also appears from this research that the calendar has ancient roots, which extend back thousands of years, as evidenced by the Ezidis who follow an ancient religion whose roots extend back thousands of years and who fast during both the winter and summer forties annually, with the participation of people in various regions of the world. It is not known who made this astronomic observatory but most of the oral information that has been passed down to us by word of mouth agrees on both Mullah Abdullah Al-Kurdi and Mullah Omar. Likely, this astronomic observatory was built around the late 17th and early 18th centuries.

"Legal Study on Boundary between Airspace and Outer Space" (영공(領空)과 우주공간(宇宙空間)의 한계(限界)에 관한 법적(法的) 고찰(考察))

  • One of the first issues which arose in the evolution of air law was the determination of the vertical limits of airspace over private property. In 1959 the UN in its Ad Hoc Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, started to give attention to the question of the meaning of the term "outer space". Discussions in the United Nations regarding the delimitation issue were often divided between those in favour of a functional approach ("functionalists"), and those seeking the delineation of a boundary ("spatialists"). The functionalists, backed initially by both major space powers, which viewed any boundary as possibly restricting their access to space(Whether for peaceful or military purposes), won the first rounds, starting with the 1959 Report of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space which did not consider that the topic called for priority consideration. In 1966, however, the spatialists, were able to place the issue on the agenda of the Outer Sapce Committee pursuant to Resolution 2222 (xxx1). However, the spatialists were not able to present a common position since there existed a variety of propositions for delineation of a boundary. Over the years, the funtionalists have seemed to be losing ground. As the element of location is a decisive factor for the choice of the legal regime to be applied, a purely functional approach to the regulation of activities in the space above the Earth does not offer a solution. It is therefore to be welcomed that there is clear evidence of a growing recognition of the defect inherent to such an approach and that a spatial approach to the problem is gaining support both by a growing number of States as well as by publicists. The search for a solution of the problem of demarcating the two different legal regimes governing the space above the Earth has undoubtedly been facilitated, and a number of countries, among them Argentina, Belgium, France, Italy and Mexico have already advocated the acceptance of the lower boundary of outer space at a height of 100km. The adoption of the principle of sovereignty at that height does not mean that States would not be allowed to take protective measures against space activities above that height which constitute a threat to their security. A parallel can be drawn with the defence of the State's security on the high seas. Measures taken by States in their own protection on the high seas outside the territorial waters-provided that they are proportionate to the danger-are not considered to infringe the principle of international law. The most important issue in this context relates to the problem of a right of passage for space craft through foreign air space in order to reach outer space. In the reports to former ILA Conferences an explanation was given of the reasons why no customary rule of freedom of passage for aircraft through foreign territorial air space could as yet be said to exist. It was suggested, however, that though the essential elements for the creation of a rule of customary international law allowing such passage were still lacking, developments apperaed to point to a steady growth of a feeling of necessity for such a rule. A definite treaty solution of the demarcation problem would require further study which should be carried out by the UN Outer Space Committee in close co-operation with other interested international organizations, including ICAO. If a limit between air space and outer space were established, air space would automatically come under the regime of the Chicago Convention alone. The use of the word "recognize" in Art. I of chicago convention is an acknowledgement of sovereignty over airspace existing as a general principle of law, the binding force of which exists independently of the Convention. Further it is important to note that the Aricle recognizes this sovereignty, as existing for every state, holding it immaterial whether the state is or is not a contracting state. The functional criteria having been created by reference to either the nature of activity or the nature of the space object, the next hurdle would be to provide methods of verification. With regard to the question of international verification the establishment of an International Satelite Monitoring Agency is required. The path towards the successful delimitation of outer space from territorial space is doubtless narrow and stony but the establishment of a precise legal framework, consonant with the basic principles of international law, for the future activities of states in outer space will, it is still believed, remove a source of potentially dangerous conflicts between states, and furthermore afford some safeguard of the rights and interests of non-space powers which otherwise are likely to be eroded by incipient customs based on at present almost complete freedom of action of the space powers.
