Several regulations on converting reusable products are established in many countries, due to the emphasis on environmental issues on manufacturing. Many companies consider reusable and returned items in addition to purchasing new items. In this paper we suggest several algorithms to determine the near optimal quantities of items for converting and new items for purchasing. The reusable items are converted into end items, each facing normally distributed demand in a single period of interest. We develop a mathematical model and a genetic algorithm(GA) to compare the number of convertible units and new items to be purchased. Computational results demonstrate the efficiency of the developed algorithms.

As the Korean College scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) has been implemented for 17 years since 1994, it is becoming more and more difficult to make new items that haven't been previously used to measure students' thinking ability. Therefore, it is necessary to keep conducting research on making new test items that can measure students' scholastic ability reliably. For this reason, multiple choice items on the Japanese university entrance exam, which is a Japanese National Center Test for University Admissions (NCTUA) equivalent of CSAT, were analyzed in order to draw implications for CSAT item development. In this study, we analyzed the Japanese NCTUA administered in January 2009 to investigate the structure of its science test. We also analyzed the NCTUA items by the domains of contents and behaviors, and tried to predict item difficulty from the perspective of Korean applicants. Major findings are as follows: Most NCTUA items measure understanding knowledge or low level thinking ability. Also the alloted time for each item is longer than CSAT. The number of test items, and the number of choice and alloted points for each item are diverse, unlike CSAT. The number of items using real-life materials are much more, but the items are not rigorous in sentence expression compared to CSAT. And the difference of difficulty level among science tests were larger with reference to CSAT. Also science score is required for most applicants regardless whether they are taking liberal arts or going onto the science track.

Despite the steady effort of kitchen furniture industry, consumers' complains never seem to decrease. The common storage problem of the houses of different sizes(20 pyeong, 30 pyeong, and 40 pyeong) was the dificiency of storage area and inadequate shelf division. It implies that such dificiency in kitchens is not because of the size of storage area, but because of such a great diversity of kitchenware and lack of studies on these items. The purpose of this research is to provide the checklist of the variety and quantity of stored kitchenware in researched area and easily adopt it to the kitchen furniture design. Studied household in average hold 239 types and about 890 items. The size of residence did not effect the number much. The first step of making the checklist is to categorize items into 9 biggest categories considering the usage of items and in which step of the preparing food the item was used. Second step is to categorize the items into 31 smaller categories reflecting the shape of items, the storage style and the place of storage. Third step is to sort the items into smallest categories by the frequency of use, storage type, and additional capacity of an item. Even when items are sorted into the same higher level of categories, the frequency of use caused storage area to differ. Also, storage style of an item differed according to the storage area. Based on these factors, we listed items in detail and made the checklist.
Due to the development of smartphone technology, as of 2020, 91.9% of people use the Internet[1] to frequently acquire information through websites and mobile apps. As the number of homepages in charge of providing information is increasing every year, the number of applications for web vulnerability diagnosis, which diagnoses the safety of homepages, is also increasing. In the existing web vulnerability check, the number of diagnostic personnel should increase in proportion to the number of homepages that need diagnosis because the diagnosticians manually test the homepages for vulnerabilities. In reality, however, there is a limit to securing a web vulnerability diagnosis manpower, and if the number of diagnosis manpower is increased, a lot of costs are incurred. To solve these problems, an automatic diagnosis tool is used to replace a part of the manual diagnosis. This paper explores a new method to expand the current automatic diagnosis range. In other words, automatic diagnosis possible items were derived by analyzing the impact of web vulnerability diagnosis items. Furthermore, automatic diagnosis identified possible items through comparative analysis of diagnosis results by performing manual and automatic diagnosis on the website in operation. In addition, it is possible to replace manual diagnosis for possible items, but not all vulnerability items, through the improvement of automatic diagnosis tools. This paper will explore some suggestions that can help improve plans to support and implement automatic diagnosis. Through this, it will be possible to contribute to the creation of a safe website operating environment by focusing on the parts that require precise diagnosis.
The purpose of this study was to develop wholistic Family Functioning Scale for Korean family bases on FFS of Tavitian et al. The data for this study was got from the sample survey of 370 mothers who had children of education period living in Seoul and kyunggi-do. The major findings were summarized as follows: 1) Through item discrimination method 34 items of the total items showed a high index ranged from .29. to .77 of discrimination coefficient 2) Factor analytic procedures selected 29 items among 34 items and extracted 4 factors(Positive Fmaily Emotion Family Communication Participation in Family Event and Sharing Family Worries) These factors accounted for 93.03% of the total variance. 3) A multiple regression analysis conducted to reduce the number of items yielded 26 items for the Family Functioning Scale 4) Internal consistency reliability for this scale showed high internal consistency(Cronbach's a= .86)

Automated Storage/Retrieval (AS/R) systems have been used mostly in manufacturing or distribution industry in order to store or retrieve palletized items automatically. Since the items ore heavy or bulky, only one pallet at a time is moved by the stacker crane In this study, however, we introduce the "multi -load" AS/R system in which the items to be stored are data storage devices of equal size such as video tape or compact disc. Since the items are small and light multiple items can be stored and retrieved in each trip by using a magazine and a robot arm mounted on the crane Given the magazine capacity, and the locations of retrieval items and empty cells in the rack, the throughput of the multi-load AS/R system will depend on the selection of storage locations and the sequence of visits. We propose four heuristic algorithms for the multi-command. Computer simulation is used to evaluate the four algorithms in terms of throughput and number of back tracking of the crane.
The purpose of this study is one of high price medical equipment wished to grasp propriety factor about the MRI introduction, analyzing payability through cost accounting into compensation. It was investigated from January 1 to December 31, 2007 about the MRI of a General Hospital. Expectation availability was 23.2 cases, but actual availability did achievement more than 196.1% with 45.5 items. It is estimated that there are a lot of occurrence cases because great reasons that actual availability increases more than expectation availability is excellent resolving power than a CT, and is device that prefer to reason back that radiation damage is less in person body. The followings show the main results of this study. 1. The MRI was construed in order of cost accounting, wave and personnel expenses 45.4%, administrative expenses 53.0%, and material costs 1.6%. 2. According to CVP (Cost-volume-profit) analysis, BEP (Break Even Point) profit is 173,931,428 won for 11 months, and break even usage number of items are 37.5 cases, and separation usage number of items were confirmed by 1.4 cases. Therefore, was construed that can achieve BEP within 11 months though usage number of items keeps 1.4 items day to create the MRI's hospital operation profit. 3. Estimated limit profitability appears high by 96.7%, exceed fixed charges even if when is non-benefit and when it is benefit consider variable, is judged that the MRI's addition induction helps in hospital management enhancing earning rates.

Purpose: This study investigated the use of infection management and the frequency of emergency equipment sterilization by emergency rescue crews to provide basic guidelines and suggestions for infection control. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 160 emergency medical technician rescue crews in J area from May 7 to May 22 in 2015. The questionnaire consisted of 95 items, including the general characteristics of the subjects (8 items), the use of emergency equipment (33 items), the frequency of facility sterilization (33 items), infection control (12 items), vaccination (4 items), and the use of personal protective equipment (5 items). Results: In all, 97.3% of respondents were aware of the "Guidelines of Infection management for Rescue Operators' and 90.9% received training on infection control. A total of 72.7% and 47.3% of rescue centers were equipped with disinfection facilities and laundry rooms, respectively. The average frequency of sterilization was $3.17{\pm}0.75$, which significantly differed for teams with more clinical experience (p=.050) and teams with three members (p=.030). The average score for individual protective equipment supplies was $1.95{\pm}0.66$. Conclusion: For proper infection management of emergency equipment, our results suggest that the number of crew members should be increased for each ambulance, protective equipment and rescue products should be supplied, and the number of facilities for sterilization and laundry at rescue centers should be doubled.

In order to estimate the densities and composition of floating marine debris (FMD), a sighting survey was conducted from July 1st to July 14th, 2009 in the East China Sea (ECS) using a training vessel "Kaya (1,737 ton)" of Pukyong National University. The sampled zones are divided into 5 transects by observation day during the survey days and the densities and composition in each transect were calculated using the numbers of item per $km^2$. The results of distribution of FMD are as follows: 1. During the surveys, a large variety of FMD was discovered and highest densities were found in the Central East(CE) of the East China Sea(ECS) (48.2 items/$km^2$), whereas densities in the less populated transects in Okinawa(OK1, OK2) were comparatively low(3.5 ~ 4.9 items//$km^2$). 2. Among the classified 6 items, styrofoams(Styro) were most abundant and ubiquitous(10.3 items/$km^2$, 53% of the total number), except OK2 area. Next abundant item was vinyl and plastics called V & P(4.9 items/$km^2$, 25%). Above 2 items of the major proportion of FMD accounted for 78% of the total number of FMD observed through this study. 3. The percentages of manufactured plastics(Styro and V & P) found in the Seas near Korean Peninsula were varied from 87.2% to 69.8%. It was recognized that polluted level is middle value among them.
In recent years, many organizations have been constructing their own large corpora to achieve corpus representativeness. However, there is no reliable guideline as to how large corpus resources should be compiled, especially for Korean corpora. In this study, we have contrived a new statistical model, ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average), for predicting the relationship between linguistic items (the number of types) and corpus size (the number of tokens), overcoming the major flaws of several previous researches on this issue. Finally, we shall illustrate that the ARIMA model presented is valid, accurate and very reliable. We are confident that this study can contribute to solving some inherent problems of corpus linguistics, such as corpus predictability, corpus representativeness and linguistic comprehensiveness.
