소아 모야모야병에서 뇌확률지도를 이용한 수술전후 혈역학적 변화 분석 (Assessment of Cerebral Hemodynamic Changes in Pediatric Patients with Moyamoya Disease Using Probabilistic Maps on Analysis of Basal/Acetazolamide Stress Brain Perfusion SPECT)

  • 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 소아 모야모야병 환자에 있어서, 수술 전후 기저/아세타졸아미드 부하 뇌혈류 단일광자방출 단층촬영(SPECT) 분석에 확률뇌지도를 이용하여 수술로 인한 뇌혈역학적 변화 및 예후 예측인자 분석을 하여 뇌확률지도의 유용성을 평가하는 것이다. 대상 및 방법: 연구대상으로 서울대어린이 병원에서 소아 모야모야병으로 진단받고, 수술받은 56명(남:여=32:24, 나이 $6.7{\pm}3.2$세)이 포함되었다. 각각의 환자는 기저/아세타졸아미드 부하 뇌혈류 SPECT를 수술 전후 6-12개월 사이에 시행하였다. 각각의 환자는 한 측 반구에 encephalo-duro-arterio-synangiosis (EDAS)와 encephalo-galeo-synangiosis (EGS)를 우선적으로 시행받았고, 그 후 순차적으로 반대측 반구에 EDAS를 시행하였다. 환자들은 수술 후 $33{\pm}21$개월 추적 관찰하였다. 환자들의 SPECT 영상을 SPM에서 공간정규화 하고 뇌교의 계수를 기준으로 계수정규화한 후 한국표준확률뇌지도 (Koreans Statistical Probabilistic Map, K-SPAM)를 이용하여 부위별 혈류를 정량화 하였다. 각각 정류화된 혈류를 수술 전후, 대뇌반구간, 그리고 임상결과에 따라 비교하였다. 또한 임상결과가 좋은 군과 나쁜 군 사이에 차이가 있는 요소를 이용하여 회귀분석을 시행하였다. 결과: 수술 후 양측 내측 전두엽이랑, 전두엽, 두정엽, 측두엽, 내측경동맥 영역, 전뇌의 기저/아세타졸아미드 부하 뇌혈류가 유의하게 호전되었다(p<0.05). 대뇌반구간 비교에서는 수술전 기저/아세타졸아미드 부하 뇌혈류 및 혈류예비능지표에 차이가 있었으나, 수술 후 이 차이는 사라졌다(p<0.05). 임상결과가 좋은 환자군의 수술 전 EDAS와 EGS를 시행한 내측 전두엽 뇌이랑의 기저 뇌혈류, 동측 전두엽, 측두엽, 그리고 전뇌의 수술 후 혈류예비능지표 및 수술전후 혈류예비능지표차가 더 우수하였다(p<0.05). 회귀분석결과에 의하면, EDAS와 EGS를 시행한 내측 전두엽 뇌이랑의 수술 전 혈류예비능지표와 전뇌의 수술 전후 혈류예비능지표차가 수술 후 임상결과를 예측할 수 있는 유의한 인자이다(p=0.002, p=0.015). Conclusion: 뇌확률지도를 이용하여 소아 모야모야병 환자의 기저/아세타졸아미드 부하 뇌혈류 SPECT를 정량화하여 분석할 수 있었다. 이 방법으로 수술에 의한 뇌혈류역학적 변화를 객관적으로 평가할 수 있었으며, 모야모야병환자의 수술 결과의 예측인자를 평가할 수 있었다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made. Comparisons between the valves were made on the transvalvular pressure drop, regurgitation volume and maximum valve opening area. The polymer valve showed smaller regurgitation volume and transvalvular pressure drop compared to the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. Because the point of maximun temperature of laser-irradiated gelatin exists below the surface due to surface cooling, evaporation at the boiling temperature is made explosively from below the surface. The important parameters of this process are the conduction loss to laser power absorption (defined as the conduction-to-laser power parameter, Nk), the convection heat transfer at the surface to conduction loss (defined as Bi), dimensionless extinction coefficient (defined as Br.), and dimensionless irradiation time (defined as Fo). Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Fo and explosion depth (from the surface to the point of maximun temperature) are increased when Nk and Bi are increased.To find out the minimum laser power for explosive evaporative removal process, steady state analysis has been also made. We obtained a two-dimensional current density distribution within a phantom by processing the real and imaginary MR images from a 4.77 NMR machine. We implemented a resistivity mage reconstruction algorithm using the finite element method and sensitivity matrix. Optimal stimulus parameters, which can minimize muscle fatigue and can achieve effective muscle contraction were determined in slow and fast muscles in Sprague-Dawley rats. Stimulus patterns of our stimulator were designed to simulate electromyographic activity monitored during locomotion of normal subjects. Muscle types of the lower extremity were classified according to their mechanical property of contraction, which are slow muscle (msoleus m.) and fast muscle (medial gastrocneminus m., rectus femoris m., vastus lateralis m.). Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Higher stimulus intensity was required when synergistic muscles were stimulated simultaneously than when they were stimulated individually. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases. Portable electrical stimulator with 16 channels built in microprocessor was constructed and applied to paraplegic patients due to lumbar cord injury. Third, best-fit boundary is detected by the cost function which is based on the best-fit elliptic model. We use combination of MLP and fuzzy filter for pattern recognition to estimate the direction of a muscle and Hogan's method for the force estimation. EMG signals are acquired by using a amputation simulator and 2 dimensional joystick motion. The main unit includes a 12.1" TFT color LCD, a main CPU board, and peripherals such as a module controller, Ethernet LAN card, video card, rotate/push button controller, etc. The main unit can connect at maximum three module cases each of which can accommodate up to 7 parameter modules. They include the modules for electrocardiograph, respiration, invasive blood pressure, noninvasive blood pressure, temperature, and SpO2 with Plethysmograph.SpO2 with Plethysmograph.

C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Stimulus patterns of our stimulator were designed to simulate electromyographic activity monitored during locomotion of normal subjects. Muscle types of the lower extremity were classified according to their mechanical property of contraction, which are slow muscle (msoleus m.) and fast muscle (medial gastrocneminus m., rectus femoris m., vastus lateralis m.). Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction.   • 연구배경: 최대운동부하 검사는 심폐기능의 종합적인 평가를 위하여 널리 이용되고 있으나 아직 우리나라에는 최대운동시의 호흡성 가스교환이나 폐기능의 정상치가 제대로 확립되어 있지 않은 설정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국성인에서 최대운동시의 이들 지표의 연령과 성별에 따른 정상치 내지 참고치를 마련하는 동시에 이들 중 일부지표의 추정정상치를 산출하는 회귀방정식을 구하는데 있다. 방법: 건강한 성인 남성 603명, 여성 397명, 합계 1,000명(20~66세)을 대상으로 Bruce법으로 증상제한성 최대운동부하 검사를 실시하였으며, 이중 885명에서는 VC, $FEV_1$ 및 MVV도 측정하였다 대상자들은 모두 전문체육인이 아닌 스포츠센터의 회원이었으며, 운동부하검사 중에는 안전상의 문제 때문에 부득이 트레드밀의 손잡이를 잡는 것을 허용하였다. 곁과: $VO_2\;max/m^2$, $VCO_2\;max/m^2$ 및 VE max/$m^2$는 모두 남성에서 뚜렷이 컸으며, 남녀에서 모두 연령의 증가에 따라 감소하였다. 한편 RR max는 성별에 따른 차이는 없었으나, 연령의 증가에 따라 약간씩 감소하였으며, $V_T$ max는 남성에서 월등히 많았으나 남녀에서 다같이 연령에 따른 일정한 경향의 변화는 없었다. 그리고 $V_T$ max/VC, $V_E$ max/MVV 및 BR의 평균은 최대운동시에 나이가 많은 여성에서도 상당한 환기예비가 있음을 보여주었다. 저자들은 성적을 토대로 운동시간(분), 나이(세), 시장(cm), 체중(kg), 성별(남=0, 여=1), VC(L), $FEV_1$(L) 및 VE max(L) 등을 변수로 해서 구한 주요 지표들의 회귀방정식은 다음과 같다. $VO_2\;max/m^2(L/min)=1.449+0.073{\times}$운동시간-$0.007{\times}$연령+$0.010{\times}$체중-$0.006{\times}$신장-$0.209{\times}$성별, $VCO_2\;max/m^2(L/min)=1.672+0.063{\times}$운동시간-$0.008{\times}$연령+$0.010{\times}$체중-$0.005{\times}$신장-$0.319{\times}$성별, $V_E\;max/m^2(L/min)=58.161+1.503{\times}$운동시간-$0.315{\times}$연령-$9.871{\times}$성별 또는 $V_E\;max/m^2(L/min)=47.873+6.458{\times}FEV_1-5.715{\times}$성별 및 $V_T\;max(L)=1.497+0.223{\times}VC-0.493{\times}$성별. 결론: 본 연구에서 얻은 최대운동시의 호흡성 가스 교환 및 환기기능에 관한 성적은 건강과 체력에 대해서 일반인보다 관심이 높을 것으로 생각되는 스포츠센터 회원들을 대상으로 한 것이기 때문에, 안전상의 문제로 트레드밀의 손잡이를 잡고 검사를 해야하는 환자나 건강인을 위한 이상적인 목표치 내지 정상치를 제공한 것으로 생각된다. Background: Although graded exercise stress tests are widely used for the evaluation of cardiorespiratory performance, normal standards on respiratory gas exchange and ventilatory functions at maximal exercise in Koreans have not been well established. The purpose of this study is to provide reference values on these by sex and age, along with derivation of some of their prediction equations. Method: Symptom-limited maximal exercise test was carried out by Bruce protocol in 1,000 healthy adults consisting of 603 males and 397 females, aged 20~66 years. Among them VC, $FEV_1$ and MVV were also determined in 885 cases. All the subjects were members of a health center, excluding athletes. During the exercise, subjects were allowed to hold on to front hand rail of the treadmill for safety purpose. Results: The $VO_2\;max/m^2$, $VCO_2\;max/m^2$ and $V_E\;max/m^2$ were greater in males than in females and decreased with age. The RR max in men and women was similar but decreased slightly with age. The $V_T$ max was markedly greater in men but showed no significant changes with age in either gender. The mean of $V_T$ max/VC, $V_E$ max/MVV and BR revealed that there were considerable ventilatory reserves at maximal exercise even in older females. The regression equations of the cardinal parameters obtained using exercise time(ET, min), age(A, yr), height(Ht, cm), weight(W, kg), sex(S, 0=male; 1=female), VC(L), $FEV_1$(L) and $V_E$ max(L) as variables are as follows: $VO_2\;max/m^2$(L/min)=1.449+0.073 ET-0.007A+0.010W-0.006Ht-0.209S, $VCO_2\;max/m^2$(L/min)=1.672+0.063ET-0.008A+0.010W-0.005Ht-0.319S, VE max/$m^2$(L/min)=58.161+1.503ET-0.315A-9.871S or VE max/$m^2$(L/min)=47.873+6.548 $FEV_1$-5.715 S, and VT max(L)=1.497+0.223VC-0.493S. Conclusion: Respiratory gas exchange and ventilatory variables at maximal exercise were studied in 1,000 non-athletes by Bruce protocol. During exercise, the subjects were allowed to hold on to hand rail of the treadmill for safety purpose. We feel that our results would provide ideal target values for patients and healthy individuals to be achieved, since our study subjects were members of a health center whose physical fitness levels were presumably higher than ordinary population.

  • 토양(土壤)의 몇가지 물리적(物理的), 화학적성질(化學的成質)이 연초식물(煙草植物)의 생육(生育) 및 Ionic Balance에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는가를 연구(硏究)하기 위하여 폿트실험을 하였다. 공시(供試)된 토양(土壤)은 pH를 3.5와 5.8인 두가지로 조정하였고 이에 2종류의 음(陰)이온을 ($NH_4Cl$의 Cl, $(NH_4)_2SO_4$$SO_4$) 처리하였고, 4수준(水準)의 pF치(値)(1.5-2.0-2.5-3.5)를 두었다. 그 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같디. 1. 산도(酸度)가 높은 토양(土壤)(pH3.5)에 $NH_4Cl$이 가(加)해진 경우 연초(煙草) Cl의 함량(含量)이 높았으며, $NH_4$와 Cl의 해작용(害作用)뿐아니라, Mn의 독작물(毒作用)까지 받았으므로 거의 생장(生長)하지 못하고 대단히 비정상적(非正常的)인 생육(生育)을 하였다. 한편 ($(NH_4)_2SO_4$를 많이 흡수하므로 Mg와 Ca의 결핍증(缺乏症)을 보였다. 그러나 산도(酸度)가 낮은 토양(pH5.8)에 가(加)해진 $NH_4-N$은 질산화작용(窒酸化作用)에 의하여 모두 $NO_3-N$로 변하였으며, $NH_4-N$와 함께 가(加)해진 Cl이나 $SO_4$에 관계없이 연초(煙草)는 건전한 생육(生育)을 하였으며 Cl 보다는 $SO_4$가 가(加)해진 토양(土壤)에서 자란 식물(植物)이 건물중(乾物重)도 더 높고 성숙도(成熟度)도 더 빨랐다. 2. 토양(土壤)의 수분함량(水分含量)은 식물(植物)이 인산(燐酸)을 흡수하는데 제한인자(制限因子)가 되는 것으로 생각되며, 지상부(地上部)와 뿌리의 건물수량(乾物收量)은 pF 1.5>2.0>2.5>3.5>의 순서이었고 pF3.5은 연초(煙草)의 일시계절점으로 생각되었다. 3. 연초식물(煙草植物)의 화학분석치(化學分析値)와 건물수량(乾物收量)은 이 식물(植物)이 정상적(正常的)인 (C-A) 개념(槪念)에 잘 적용된다는 것을 보여주었으며, 정상적(正常的)인 생육(生育)을 하고 있는 연초식물(煙草植物)에 있어서는 지상부(地上部)의 Carboxylate의 함량(含量)은 (C-A) 값과 거의 비슷함을 보여 주었다. 만약 식물체중(植物體中)에 $NH_4$함량(含量)이 상당히 많은 양(量)으로 존재(存在)한다면 $NH_4$를 분석(分析)하여 그 값을 (C-A)의 값을 계산하는데 사용해야 할것이다. Al은 가동성(可動性)이 매우 낮은 물질이므로 식물(植物)의 지상부(地上部)의 해(害)를 줄정도의 양(量)으로는 존재(存在)하지 않고 많은 양(量)이 뿌리의 내부나 그 주위에 존재(存在)한다. 식물체(植物體)가 Al을 많이 함유(含有)하고 있을 경우에도 (C-A) 값의 산출에 Al의 함량(含量)을을 고려해야 한다.

하악과두흡수 환자의 임상적 평가 및 악안면 골격형태에 대한 연구 (Clinical Assessment and Cephalometric Characteristics in Patients with Condylar Resorption)

  • 2006년 한 해 동안 경북대학교 구강내과에 측두하악장애를 주소로 내원한 전체 환자 중에 파노라마 방사선 사진 상에서 인정될만한 하악과두흡수가 관찰된 환자를 대상으로 측모두부방사선 사진을 촬영하였으며, 측두하악장애의 임상적 평가와 악안면 골격형태를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 임상적 평가 1) 측두하악장애를 주소로 내원한 총 환자 수는 2419명 이었고 그중 224명 약 9.3%가 과두흡수를 나타내었다. 과두흡수가 있는 환자군 중 여자는 183명(81.7%)이고 남자는 41명(18.3%)으로 여자에서 월등히 많이 유발되었다. 환자의 연령은 12세에서 70세에 걸쳐 분포되었으며 평균 연령은 30.6세였다. 연령분포는 10대가 26.3%(59명), 20대가 34.8%(78명), 30대가 13.8%(31명), 40대가 11.2%(25명), 50대가 7.1%(16명), 60대가 6.3%(14명), 그리고 70대가 0.4%(1명)로 나타났다. 2) 과두흡수 부위의 통증을 호소한 경우는 145명, 통증을 호소하지 않은 경우가 79명이었다. 3) 과두흡수 환자 중 이갈이 습관을 53명, 이깨물기 습관은 80명이 호소하였으며, 다른 기타 습관들을 보고한 경우가 204명이었다. 4) 과두흡수 부위의 통증을 호소한 환자의 치료기간은 1개월 미만이 81명으로 전체적으로 치료기간이 짧게 나타났다. 2. 악안면 골격 형태 평가 전체 과두흡수 환자 224명중 18세 이상의 186명(여자 155명, 남자 31명)만이 한국 성인 정상교합자의 측모두부방사선사진 계측연구 결과와 비교하였다. 1) SNA, SNB는 남녀 모두에서 유의한 작은 값을 나타냈고, ANB항목에서는 남자는 평균 3.57 여자는 5.05으로 여자 환자에서 큰 값을 보여 남자에 비해 하악이 더 후퇴되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 2) 남녀 모두 SN-GoMe, FMA의 각도가 과두흡수 환자에서 유의하게 상당히 커져 있음을 보였다. FMA는 남자는 평균 30.44, 여자는 31.69로 여자에서 수직적 성장이 더 크게 나타났다. 3) 총후안면고경(posterior facial height)이 과두흡수 군에서 모두 작은 것이 특징으로 보였으며, 총전안면고경(Anterior facial height)은 과두흡수 환자군에서 남녀 모두 정상군에 비해 차이가 없었다. 저자의 연구에서 얻어진 결과에 의해 하악과두흡수는 정형외과적으로 퇴행성관절염과는 달리 젊은 여성에서 유병률이 높았으며 이는 남성보다 여성에서 수직적 골격 성장 양상으로 인해 하악과두 전방부의 압축응력을 증가시키는 위험요인을 가진 환자에서 발현이 높은 것으로 생각되며 그리고 노년층보다는 젊은 사람에서 이상기능활동으로 인한 부하의 증가 때문이라 생각한다. 하악과두흡수를 보이는 환자들의 치료기간이 대체적으로 짧으며, 나이가 증가함에 따라 내원하는 환자수가 증가하지 않는다는 것은 이 질환이 자기한정적임을 알 수 있고, 생리적 내성 범위 이상의 부하가 가해져 발생한 하악과두의 재형성 과정으로 생각한다.

야간 저온조건이 파프리카 화분 활력 및 생식기관 발달에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Low Night Temperature on Reproductive Organ Development in Relation to Pollen Viability of Bell Pepper)

  • 고랭지 파프리카 재배 초기에 기형과 및 단위결과 과실이 많이 발생하는데 야간 저온이 화분 활력 및 생식기관 발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 주간 $28^{\circ}C$ 동일 조건에서 야간온도를 $13^{\circ}C$ (LNT)와 $20^{\circ}C$ (ONT)로 달리 처리하여 생장상에서 파프리카(Capsicum annuum cv. Plenty)를 재배하였다. ONT와 LNT에서 화분을 채취하여 10, 15, 20, 25, $30^{\circ}C$에서 발아시켰다. 24시간 후 화분의 활력을 살펴 본 결과, 처리에 관계 없이$25^{\circ}C$ 에서 화분 활력이 가장 좋았고 다음이 $30^{\circ}C$였다. $25^{\circ}C$에서 발아율은 ONT화분이 42%, LNT 화분이 21%였다. 화분관 신장길이는 화분발아 온도에 관계 없이 ONT화분이 가장 길었다. 화분관 신장 속도는 $25^{\circ}C$ 에서 발아시킨ONT화분이 가장 빨랐다. 파프리카가 재배된 ONT와 LNT 조건에서 화분 활력의 차이를 알아보기 위해 배지에 화분을 치상 후 ONT와 LNT에서 화분발아 시험을 실시하였다. LNT에서는 야간($13^{\circ}C$) 동안 화분이 발아되지 않았지만 주간($13^{\circ}C$)조건으로 전환되자 화분이 발아되기 시작하였다. 하지만 ONT에서는 야간($20^{\circ}C$) 초기부터 화분이 발아되기 시작하여 주간($28^{\circ}C$)까지 계속 발아가 진행되었다. LNT에서는 과병길이, 자방지름, 수술길이, 화중 및 과중이 증가하였다. 종자수는 처리간 차이가 없었다. LNT처리구에서도 종자가 잘 형성되었던 것은 주간에 수분수정이 이루어졌기 때문인 것으로 보여지지만 기형과나 단위결과 발생 방지를 위해서는 화분발아를 저해하는 저온범위에 대한 정밀한 연구가 수행되어야 할 것으로 보여진다.

1999년 경주 인근에서 3차례 발생한 지진들의 지진원 특성 분석 (Analysis on the source characteristics of three earthquakes nearby the Gyeongju area of the South Korea in 1999)

이모작 벼 재배시 경운방법 및 관개량에 따른 쌀 수량, 토양특성에 대한 보릿짚 시용효과 (Effect of Barley Straw Application on Soil Properties, Rice Yield and Plowable Stress with Plowing Methods and Irrigation Rates in Barley- Rice Double Cropping System)

  • 답리작 보리재배 후 보릿짚을 시용하고 관개량, 경운방법을 달리하여 만추벼를 전북통에서 2년 동안 재배시 토양이화학성, 작업정도, 생육 및 수량성을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 보릿짚 시용 후 경운방법 및 관개량에 따른 작업정도는 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 1회 처리구에서 경운 + 물 로타리 1회(관행)보다 보릿짚 피복정도가 적었고 결주율 2.6%, 부묘율 1.7% 낮았으며 관개량이 많을수록 결주율과 부묘율이 낮아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 토양이화학성 변화는 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 1회 처리구 심토에서 토양경도, 용적밀도가 낮아지고 공극율, 기상율이 증가되어 토양물리성이 개선되었으며 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 1회 처리구에서 CEC가 높아지고 유기물, 유효인산 함량이 증가되었으며 C/N율이 낮아져 토양화학성이 개량되었다. 경운방법에 따른 벼의 유효경비율은 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 2회 > 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 1회 > 경운 + 물 로타리 1회 > 물 로타리 1회 순으로 높았으며 쌀 수량은 $500Mg\;ha^{-1}$ 관개시 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 1회, $700Mg\;ha^{-1}$ 관개시 마른로타리 1회 + 물 로타리 2회 처리구에서 수수 및 영화수 확보가 많았고 현미천립중이 무거워 경운 + 물 로타리 1회(관행) 대비 각각 7%, 5% 증수되었다.

실내녹화용 목본식물 3종의 초기 생육반응에 미치는 광량의 영향 (Effect of Light Intensity on the Growth Responses of Three Woody Plants for Indoor Landscaping)

  • 본 연구는 광량이 산호수(Ardisia pusilla), 크루시아(Clusia rosea), 팔손이(Fatsia japonica) 목본식물 3종의 초기 생육 반응에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 목본식물 3종을 10cm 포트에 식재한 다음, 광량 15, 30, 60, $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ PPFD 4수준으로 광조사 시간은 12/12(명기/암기)로 설정하여 120일 동안 실시하였다. 4주 간격으로 초고, 엽장, 엽폭, 엽록소형광(Fv/Fm), SPAD, Hunter 값의 생육측정과 실험 종료 후 식물체 지상부와 지하부의 생체중과 건조중을 측정하였다. $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서 실험기간동안 초고, 엽면적, 지상부와 지하부의 생체중과 건조중 값이 가장 크게 나타났다. 팔손이는 광량이 높을수록 엽장, 엽폭이 컸으며, 그 밖의 식물에서는 광량에 따른 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 산호수의 Fv/Fm 값은 60, $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서 광량에 대한 스트레스를 받는 것으로 나타났으나, 그 밖의 식물과 광량에서는 Fv/Fm는 모두 정상 범위로 나타나, 스트레스를 받지 않았다. SPAD값은 $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서 크루시아만 유의적인 차이를 보였으며, 그 밖의 식물과 광량에서는 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 산호수의 Hunter 값은 모든 광량에서 유의적인 차이가 없었으며, 크루시아는 $60{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서, 팔손이는 $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서 L, a, b값에 특이성이 나타났다. $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서 산호수 줄기의 성장 폭이 컸으며, 크루시아는 60과 $120{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$에서 지속적인 성장을 보여, 적정수준의 초고를 유지하기 위해서 이들은 $60{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$이하의 광량이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
