For possibly nonstationary autoregressive moving average, modeling based on the original observations rather than the differenced observations is considered. Under this scheme, sample autocorrelation functions, parameter estimates, model diagnostic statistics, and prediction are all computed from the original data instead of the differenced data. The methods and results established under stationarity of data are shown to naturally extend to the nonstationarity of one autoregressive unit root. The sample ACF and PACF can be used for ARMA order determination. The BIC order is strongly consistent. The parameter estimates are asymptotically normal. The portmanteau statistic has chi-square distribution. The predictor is asymptotically equivalent to that based on the differenced data.

The present study was conducted to obtain some basic information on the shoot formation from crown gall callus and the characteristics of teratoma shoot derived from crown gall induced by inoculation of Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58. Crown gall callus could be continuously cultured on the phyohormone free basic medium. The growth of crown gall callus was inhibited when BA were added to the cultural media. Shoot formation from crown gall callus fail to be initiated except teratoma shoot which induced on the phytohormone free medium after several subculture on rare occasions. Teratoma shoot could not form root and grow as normal shoot. Addition of BA to cultural media was not effective for shoot elongation, reduction in multiple shoot formation, but IBA was somewhat effective for shoot elongation of teratoma shoot, never for root formation.

Replacement of the aortic valve in a normal or large aortic root can be accomplished with ease and safety in most instances. The presence of a narrowed aortic annulus remains a problem in that the replaced smaller prosthetic valve has a significant resting pressure gradient across the orifice. This narrowing causes not only technical difficulties, but also increased mortality and post-op. complication. Therefore this problem deserves special attention. This report presents our experience with a case of a small aortic root caused by rheumatic heart disease [AI and MS]. This is the method of enlargement of the aortic annulus with a woven Dacron patch and replacement of a larger prosthetic aortic valve combined with mitral valve replacement.

Turbine blade has trouble of cracking at root region. Fracture surface of blade root is surveyed by SEM and AFM to clear relation between fracture mechanical parameter and surface parameter (striation width and surface roughness). Service stress is predicted by maximum height roughness $R_{max}$, on fractured surface and stress analysis on turbine blade. It is to thought that turbine blade is fractured by abnormal condition such as incorrect fittings between pin and pin hole but isn't fractured by normal service conditions such as steam pressure, centrifugal force and torsional force.

Calcium Hydoxide는 치수복(pulp capping), 생활치수절단술(vital pulpotomy)등에서 bactericidal effect 때문에 많은 사용을 하고 있으며, 최근에는 무수치(pulpless teeth)와 관련된 치근단병소가 있는 경우, 미완성치근단인 경우, 치근흡수, 횡주치근파절(Transverse root fracture)등의 경우에서도 Ca(OH)₂paste를 사용하여 성공적인 근관치료를 할 수 있다. 근관의 instrumentation 과 irrigation후 근과 dressing 은 약 1주일간 행하고 Ca(OH)₂paste를 건조된 근관내에 넣는다. 이때 치근단(root apex)으로부터 약 3~5mm 되게 저속으로 아주 가볍고 부드러운 압력을 가하여 Ca(OH)₂paste를 cotton pellet로 밀어넣고 Sealing(가봉)한다. 이 Temporary sealing은 1개월이상 견딜수 있도록 Cement 또는 Amalgam filling 함이 좋다. Ca(OH)₂paste의 제법은 normal irrigating agents 와 minimal filing으로 시행한다.

The purpose of this study was to develop the antiallergic and hypoallergic fennented soybean foods without side effect. We manufactured Chungkukjang with addition of herbal (aloe, cinamon, licorice root) extract. Sensory evaluation was performed to evaluate the acceptability by the consumer. Clinical evaluation was performed with 10 atopic dermatitis (AD) patients who showed positive reaction with specific IgE and skin prick test. Cross-over study between nonnal Chungkukjang and Chungkukjang with aloe extract was performed. In sensory evaluation, Chungkukjang with aloe extract obtained best score overall. In clinical evaluation, 7 out of 10 AD patients showed positive reaction to soy-bean and 4 out of 10 AD patients showed positive reaction to normal Chungkukjang. 2 out of 10 AD patients showed positive reaction to Chungkukjang with aloe extract. In conclusion, Chungkukjang could be recommended as functional food with hypoallergic effect. As adding aloe extract to Chungkukjang, hypo allergic effect was increased.

Turbine blade is subject to torsional load by torsion-mount, centrifugal load by rotation of rotor and repeated bending load by steam pressure. Turbine with partially cracked blade has normal working condition at initial repair time but vibratory working condition at middle repair time due to crack growth. Finite element analysis on turbine blade indicates that repeated bending load out of all loads is the most important factor on fatigue strength of turbine blade. Therefore, this study shows root mean square roughness has linear relation with stress intensity factor range in 12% Cr steel and can predict loading condition of fractured turbine blade.

It is advisable to use irrigation solutions which have strong antibacterial effect and weak cytotoxic effect on treating root infections. Streptococci are ones of the most frequently isolated microorganisms in infected root canals. The antibacterial effect of ten irrigation solutions were investigated on S. mutans (19449), S. sanguis. )10556) and 4 streptococci isolated from saliva of healthy persons. These streptococci were exposured to irrigation solutions during 10 sec, 30 sec,. 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min and 2hrs respectively. Four irrigation solutions which showed strong antibacterial activity were diluted to 1 : 1 to 1 : 10,000. Then they were subcultured on blood agar plate an observed after 1 day. 5.25% NaOC1 had the strongest antibacterial effect. 30% urea and normal saline showed no antibacterial effect. 50 % citric acid and 3% $H_2O_2$ showed relatively weak antibacterial effect. 15 % EDTA had very weak antibacterial effect.

Purpose: To compare radiographic images of Digora/sup (R)/ system and Ektaspeed Plus film obtained from normal adults. Materials and methods: Storage phosphor plate(SPP) was placed in a film holder behind Ektaspeed Plus film package without lead foil. The effect of film on SPP was studied in a separate in vitro experiment. Forty-seven sets of images were prepared for the evaluaton. The regions of interest(ROI) for evaluation were designated at seven sites including normal anatomical structures. The image quality for each ROI was evaluated on enhanced and unenhanced storage phosphor(SP) images and Ektaspeed Plus film. Results: Two film-SPP configurations showed significantly different gray levels at each step of the aluminum step wedge(p<0.05). The contrasts were comparable. Enhanced SP images were significantly superior to unenhaned images and film in all anatomical sturctures(p<0.01). The differences between unenhanced SP images and film were significant(p<0.05) except root canal and cortical bone on alveolar crest. For anatomical items. there were statistically significant difference among five observers(p<0.05). Conclusions: The image quality of enhanced SP images were superior to Ektaspeed Plus film. and Digora system is potentially applicable to clinical diagnosis.
