  • Recently, use of Continuous Welded rail(CWR) is increased for structural, economical reason but new problem is caused accordingly and phenomenon that give threat in traveling by ship stability of train is led. According as rail is prolonged, excessive relative displacement and longitudinal force can happen to rail by temperature change and external force. Specially, buckling or fracture of rail can happen in railroad bridges because relative displacement by bridge and properties of matter difference between rail grows and additional axial force happens to rail by behavior of bridge. According to several study, longitudinal force of rail in bridge is influenced with ballast resistance, elongation length, boundary condition, stiffness of framework. Non-linear behavior of ballast acts by the most important factor in interaction between rail and bridge. Therefore, must consider stiffness of bridge construction with non-linear characteristic of ballast and stiffness of base for accuracy with longitudinal force calculation and analyze. In this study, perform material non-linear analysis for longitudinal force of CWR and three dimensional buckling analysis to decide buckling force.

  • Pursuant to Article 109(1) of the Attorney-at-Law Act of Korea, a person, not an attorney-at-law, who receives or promises to receive money, articles, entertainment or other benefits or who gives or promises to give those things to a third party, in compensation for providing or mediating legal services, such as examination, representation, arbitration(emphasis added), settlement, solicitation, legal consultation, making of legal documents, etc. shall be punished by imprisonment with prison labor for not more than 7 years or by a fine not exceeding KRW 50 million or may be punished by both and there is no specific provision on qualification of arbitrator except on nationality of an arbitrator in the Arbitration Act of Korea. Then, the question arises, can any non-lawyer arbitrator who receives arbitrator's fees be punished in accordance with the Attorney-at-Law Act in Korea? To search for an answer for this matter, this paper examines the Arbitration Act or the Civil Procedure Code of 33 major countries in the world and explains a research on the participation ratio of non-lawyer arbitrators in all 360 arbitration cases registered in 2012 at the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB).

  • To study the relationship between certain hormones and metabolites and between hormones and milk yield during different stage of lactation, six lactating Karan Swiss cows and six Murrah buffaloes were maintained. Growth hormone, insulin, $T_3$, $T_4$, glucose, BHBA, NEFA and milk yield were studied. Highly negative relationship of growth hormone with insulin and triiodothyronine in cows and marginally negative in buffaloes suggest that insulin and triiodothyronine aid in the process of partitioning of nutrients towards milk production through reducing the demands of nutrients by peripheral tissue. The significant and negative correlation of growth hormone with dry matter intake in both the species suggest that the availability of nutrients from the digestive tract play a role in the regulation of growth hormone secretion. Positive relationship of growth hormone with non esterified fatty acids in both the species suggest that high growth hormone levels may result in fat mobilization and thereby increase the availability of energy precursors for milk synthesis. Insulin was negatively correlated with milk yield and lactose content and positively with milk fat and protein but the degree of relationship varied. In both the species the relationship between triiodothyronine and milk yield was negative and between thyroxine and milk yield was positive. However, it was significant only in cows and not in buffaloes. Thyroxine was positively correlated with beta-hydroxybutyrate and non-esterified fatty acids with milk yield in both the species.

  • This paper investigates the impact of profit and loss sharing (PLS) contracts on non-performing financing of Islamic rural banks as Islamic small banks focus on small and medium enterprises at province level across country. Our study employs panel data, consisting of 142 Islamic rural banks and using quarterly data from 2013Q1 to 2018Q4, and splits them based on the bank's size and geographical area. Both static and dynamic panel regressions are then applied. The results obviously indicate that a high proportion of profit and loss sharing contracts leads to high financing risk. The large Islamic banks encounter a higher non-performing financing stemming from profit and loss contracts compared to small Islamic banks. Profit and loss contracts also produce higher financing risk for Islamic banks outside Java, as those areas are less developed areas than Java itself. A more efficient Islamic bank is less financing risk. Income diversification lessens the impaired financing and, more particularly, large Islamic banks and Islamic banks located in Java much benefit by diversifying income and financing to lower financing risk. Our study suggests that Islamic rural banks may consider the optimal level of profit and loss sharing contracts to minimize financing risk.

  • Although DAF(Dissolved Air Flotation) has been successfully accepted for water and wastewater treatment, the fundamental characteristics of the process have not been fully investigated. Water is saturated with compressed air to dissolve the air into the water at high pressure in saturation tank. Then the water containing dissolved air is released into a floatation tank at a lower pressure, generating micro-bubbles that rise gently through the water and carry the suspended matter to the surface. This study investigated the removal of sewage using automatic mixture type DAF pump and non-powered flotation tank. Characteristics of two devices were compared and analyzed with samples. The results showed that the PAC exhibited higher performance than other coagulants. When air dosage was 2.5ml/l/min, treatment was stable in operation. In the DAF pump with a pressure of 4 atm., the average size of bubbles was 36.2${\mu}m$. Removal efficiency of SS was 80%. At this time removal efficiency of COD was about 80%, of T-N was 30% and T-P was 70% in stable operation. It was concluded that DAF pump system with micro bubble performed higher efficiencies compared to general DAF system for treating wastewater.

  • In this thesis, an object tracking method based on the active feature model and the optical flow in stereo images is proposed. We acquired the translation information of object of interest and the features of object by utilizing the geometric information and depth of stereo images. Tracking performance is improved for the occlude object with this information by predicting the movement information of features of the occlude object. Rigid and non-rigid objects are experimented. From the result of experiment, the OOI can be real-time tracked from complicate back ground. Besides, we got the improved result of object tracking in any occlusion state, no matter what it is rigid or non-rigid object.

  • Bankruptcy is indicated by the inability of the company to meet its maturity obligations. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a terrible impact on the economy and businesses. The aim of this study to determine the effect of the ratios of activity, growth, leverage, and profitability in predicting bankruptcy projected by earnings per share (EPS). The sample of this research was non-banking financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019 and the purposive sampling technique was used. The data analysis method used was the logistic regression method to test the hypotheses. Company growth shows the company's ability to manage sales and generate high company profits, as such, the probability of the company experiencing bankruptcy will be lower. The results of this study showed that the debt to assets ratio (DAR), debt to equity ratio (DER), and return on assets (ROA) can predict bankruptcy. Meanwhile, this research found that the total assets turnover (TATO) ratio, sales growth, and net profit margin (NPM) cannot be used to predict bankruptcy.

  • In this study, non-point pollution sources in the Yeongsan river basin are analyzed; then, the priority regions (areas divided on a small scale) of management are selected for efficient water management of the Seungcheon and Jooksan reservoirs, which were constructed as one of the 4 major rivers restoration projects. The priority regions are decided by using the criteria of the excessive rate of target water quality, non-point pollution load per unit area, total TP load and down flow distance. The results of this study are as follows. The upper 10% of the priority regions for non-point pollution management includes YB15, YB05, YB10, YB24, YB14 and YB11 for the Seungcheon reservoir watershed, and YC24, YC25, YC30, YC34, YC22 and YC17 for the Jooksan reservoir watershed. However, a few regions in each of the Seungcheon and Jooksan reservoirs need to be selected in higher order, and the non-point pollution removal facilities in the regions need to be installed with respect to budget, urgent matter, and so on.

  • The influence of fertilizer on the growth characteristics in Korean lawn grass was studied from June through October in a experiment. The results were as follows: 1. Maximum dry matter weight of Korean lawn grass was achieved in early in early August when it was $64.3g/m^2$ without fertilizer and $157.9g/m^2$ with fertilizer. On the other hand, the dry matter weight of whole plant including Korean lawn grass reached the maximum in late September, which was late, to some extent, compared with that if pure Korean lawn grass, presumably associated with seed maturing period of $C_4$ type plants. 2. Notable positive effect on leaf blade and non-leaf part weight in Korean lawn grass was also detected. However, the rate of dry matter occupied by non-leaf part was markedly increased by fertilizer application. 3. The dry matter portion occupied by Korean lawn grass the in total dry matter weight of whole plant was significantly decreased as time went by, particularly in case of fertilizer application. 4. Fertilizer, which might imply an increased potential of tiller numbers according to fertilizer. 5. In general, the seasonal change pattern of the rhizome of Korean lawn grass coincided with that of the aboveground organs: Its maximum dry matter weight achieved from late August to early September was $194.2g/m^2$ with nil fertilizer, and, with fertilizer, $259.7g/m^2$, of which figures were equivalent to be increased to 33.7%, compared to that with nil fertilizer. Applying fertilizer increased the weight of root: The highest values were $36.7g/m^2$ with nil fertilizer and $80.9g/m^2$ with fertilizer.

  • The study was carried out to identify the characteristics of leafy shapes, and to establish the cultural practices such as shading condition, fertilization method, and planting distance of Cirsium nipponicum. Leaf shapes in this plant consist of two kinds, lobation and non-lobation which has two spur type showing large and small spur. Protein band patterns showed that a new protein band in non-lobation with large spur was appeared at the 116.4kDa. For shading condition and fertilization method, number of stems in non-shading and organic matter treatment was higher than that of shading 55% with 3.7. Fresh leaf yield on non-shading and organic matter treatment was higher than that of other treatments. Growth characteristics of leaf number was increased in the $60\times30cm$ treatment, but was redeuced to some extent compared with $60\times45cm$. To increase the fresh leaf yield, the optimum planting distance was $30\times20cm$ with 4,100kg/10a.
