왕복동식 공기압축기의 소음 발생원 분석 연구 (Noise Source Evaluation for Reciprocating Type Air Compressor)

  • This paper is to investigate noise source for reciprocating type air compressors. The reciprocating type air compressors are widely used in the small and medium sized enterprise and many employees are affected and irritated by their noise during working. The investigation and analysis of the noise source were made according to the ISO 1680/1 and MIL-STD 7410-1 and noise evaluation of each part of compressors was made. Noise emitted from the intake and exhaust valve and the air receiver tank were dominant compared with those from other parts of compressor. Noise from the motor and the revolution of crank mechanism was negligible relatively with the noise sources as mentioned above.

  • 대형 냉장고의 경우 내부구조가 복잡하고 냉장고 문을 열고 닫을 때 냉장고 내부에 온도편차가 발생하며, 또한 진동에 의한 흔들림이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 다양한 원인에 의하여 간헐적으로 부품간 마찰에 의한 이상소음이 발생하기도 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 이상소음의 원인과 메커니즘을 실험적으로 분석하고 이것을 줄일 수 있는 가능성에 대하여 제안하고자 한다. 이상 소음을 구현하기 위한 실험장치를 구성하고 냉장고 문의 열림과 닫힘에서 발생되는 변형량 분석과 온도 변화에 따른 내부 압력변화를 측정하여 소음발생의 주요원인에 대하여 분석하였다. 또한 설계초기 단계에서 적용이 가능한 소음저감 방법론을 제안하였다.

  • The EMI noise source in a switching mode power supply is dominated by a common mode noise. If we can understand the common mode noise occurring mechanism, it is resulted to find out the method to suppress the EMI noise source in the switching mode power supply. The common mode noise is occurring mostly due to circuit is unbalanced which is caused by the capacitive coupling to frame ground, which passes through a heatsink of the switching devices. This research paper presents a new effective balancing method of buck converter circuit by mean of grounding the parasitic and compensation capacitors in correct proportion which is called that the common mode impedance balance (CMIB). The CMIB can be achieved by source, transmission line and termination balanced, such balancing, the common mode current will be cancelled out in the frame ground. The greatly reduced common mode noise can be confirmed by the experimental results.

  • Experiments were performed to investigate the effects of mud-flap width on the aeroacoustic noise generation inside high-speed trains. The open-circuit type wind tunnel was used. The measurement setup was custom-built to simulate intercoach spacing. From the measurements, the characteristics of the turbulent flow after the intercoach spacing and consequent generation of aeroacoustic noise inside the cabin was investigated. Especially the effects of mud flap length on the characteristics of the characteristics of the turbulent flow were identified. The mechanism of noise generation by analyzed interactions with structure vibration characteristics and generation characteristics of blocked pressure was investigated.

  • This paper presents experimental analysis of a friction-driven wheel responsible for generating wheel squeal. Squeal noise generating mechanism has been examined under the laboratory condition by the model rig. Creep characteristics and squeal noise were observed by varying relative velocity of the wheel with respect to the rail and friction coefficient. Computational radiating noise analysis was also performed based on the modal analysis and noise transfer function measurement of the object wheel.

  • Roof racks have become a very popular feature of vehicles as the market demand for SUV's and RV's has increased drastically over the years. Aeolian tone from the cross bars however. could be a source of severe discomfort for the passengers. Both experimental and numerical steps are taken to enhance the understanding of the generation mechanism of the wind noise. A successful reduction of the noise is achieved by imposing asymmetry in the section geometry, which reduces the strength of Karmann vortices shed downstream.

  • In this study, refrigerant noise at connection of capillary tube and evaporator is investigated. Mechanism of refrigerant noise generation is examined in side-by-side type home refrigerator with two evaporators. It is found that the refrigerant noise is generated during refrigeration room fan-off (R-fan of) for that type refrigerator. The reason is that mass flow rate gets down during R-fan of and flow pattern is changed at outlet of capillary tube. We suggest designs for reduction of refrigerant noise with horizontal double expansion device, muffler, and accumulator. To evaluate those improved designs, sound quality index is used.
