내충격성을 고려한 사용후연료 수송용기 내부구조물의 설계 연구 (Study on the Impact-proof Internal Structure Design of a Spent Nuclear Fuel Transport Cask)

  • A simple preliminary analysis is often useful to check a validity of design alternatives before the detailed analysis phase in the viewpoint of efficiency. This paper describes a preliminary analysis procedure for the selection among basket design candidates for the spent fuel shipping cask of Korean standard nuclear power plant. As the cask should maintain the structural integrity in hypothetical accident condition, the case of 9 m drop is significantly considered as the worst scenario among the accident conditions in structural design viewpoint in this paper. As basket design options, totally four different types are considered and analyzed in the point of structural integrity at drop impact and weldability for fabrication. As a result, an insertion round plate type with densely spaced supports turns out to be the best in both of the viewpoints, though the weld plate type shows a bit more design margin.

  • Gap servo NFR (Near Field Recording) system is one of technologies to reduce beam spot size by increasing NA (Numerical Aperture) of lens. To achieve high NA, SIL (Solid Immersion Lens) is used. In case of using a blue LD (405 nm) as the light source the gap distance should be controlled under 100 nm with much tighter margin. To develop NFR disc drive with very small gap distance between SIL bottom and the surface of media, we need to research for the vibration characteristics and design considerations. This paper deals with a study on vibration characteristic of NFR disc drive.

  • Koreasat-3 was successfully launched by an Ariane IV launch vehicle on September 5, 1999. Although the primary purpose of the satellite is to replace Koreasat-l, it also can extend its communication service coverage over the Asia-Pacific region. A spacecraft is subjected to severe dynamic loads during launch period. To verify the safety of spacecraft under the launch environment, dynamic tests should be performed such as sine sweep, acoustic and separation shock tests. This paper presents the launch environment test results of Koreasat-3. A total of 188 acceleration responses was measured and compared with the design requirements of components and spacecraft. Dynamic characteristic change was also investigated by comparing between low-level pre/post vibration results. From the review of test results, it is concluded that Koreasat-3 was designed and manufactured with the margin of safety enough to survive the launch loads of Ariane IV.

  • APR1400 RVI CVAP using the non-prototype category is being conducted to verify integrity of the RVI design and to secure the CVAP technology. The measurement programs are to confirm vibration analysis results for reactor internals during preoperational and initial startup testing and to detemine the safety margin. One of the important basis for the measurement programs is test acceptance criteria. Therefore, this paper is on establishment of response instrumentation test acceptance criteria for APR1400 RVI CVAP. The established acceptance criteria show that the stress criteria of APR1400 RVI are more conservative values than those of the valid prototype plant(Palo Verde unit 1) and, the displacement criteria of the IBA and the UGS were established to 0.03 in and 0.01 in, respectively.

  • 개인 휴대통신 주파수 대역에서 인위적인 전자파 잡음을 공통단자를가지는 평면 배열 3축 안테나를 사용하여 측정하였고, 이 데이터를 통계 확률적인 방법을 이용하여 모델링을 하였다, 측정된 APD 곡선의 변수를 합성근사화 알고리즘을 이용하여 빠른 시간내에 계산이 가능하게 하였다. 진폭확률분포에 관한 모형변수의 계산결과는 전자파 환경의 데이터 베이스의 저장용량을 감소시킬 수 있으며, 또한 송.수신기의 출력 및 감도의 마진 결절에 기초적인 자룔로 이용이 가능할 것이다.

  • This paper reports the high sensitivity actuator for flexible disk. The air stabilized flexible optical disk has very small axial runout. Therefore, It is proper to develop an actuator which has high sensitivity in tracking direction rather than in focusing direction. In order to maximize driving force in radial direction, we present an efficient design of magnetic circuit with simple multi-polarized magnets and auxiliary magnets. Designed magnetic circuit has big force in tracking direction. And we shift 2$^{nd}$ resonance frequency of moving parts Into high frequency band, not causing increase of mass and discord between force and mass centers to secure high sensitivities and sufficient control bandwidth. Finally, experimental results show that designed actuator has superior sensitivity in tracking direction.

  • 본 논문에서는 ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 지상파 디지털 TV 방송 방식에서의 분산 주파수 망(distributed frequency network)을 위해 개발된 분산중계기(Distributed Translator: DTxR)에 대한 필드 테스트 결과를 기술하고, 그 결과를 분석한다. 캐나다 오타와에서 수행된 필드 테스트에서는 두 대의 DTxR 신호가 동시에 수신되는 중첩 지역을 중심으로 안테나 및 수신기 종류에 따른 각 측정 지점의 수신 전계 강도, 잡음 마진, 수신 여부, 수신가능 방위각을 측정하였다. 필드 테스트 결과에 의하면, 두 대의 DTxR이 모두 켜졌을 때 수신 전계 강도 및 잡음 마진은 각각의 DTxR이 켜졌을 때 보다 증가하였지만, 수신율 및 수신가능 방위각은 수신기의 종류에 따라 증가하거나 비슷하였다.

멀티밴드 CDMA 단말기에서 Cross-Modulation 잡음에 의한 영향 분석 및 최적화 (Analysis and Optimization of the Cross-Modulation Noise in Multi-Band CDMA Handset)

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티밴드 CDMA 단말기 설계 시 IS-98 표준안으로부터 요구되는 교차변조 잡음의 레벨을 결정하고, 각 부품들의 성능을 결정 할 수 있는 수식을 제시하였다. 또한 제시된 수식으로부터 설계 전에 단말기의 성능 및 마진 정도를 미리 예측 할 수 있었다. 검증을 위해 퀼컴 사(社)의 Zero-IF 구조로 멀티밴드 CDMA 단말기를 설계 및 제작하였으며, 측정을 통해 본 논문에서 제시한 수식의 타당성을 검증하였다. 그 결과 ${\pm}0.5dB$ 오차 내에서 거의 동일한 결과를 얻었다. 따라서 본 논문이 멀티밴드 CDMA 단말기 설계 시 표준안 조건을 만족시키기 위한 기준이 될 것이다.

M/W 중계 시스템 망의 주파수 조정을 위한 보호비 계산에 대한 연구 (A Study on Calculation of Protection Ratio for Frequency Coordination in Microwave Relay System Networks)

  • This paper suggests an efficient method of protection ratio calculation and shows some calculated results applicable to frequency coordination in microwave relay system networks, and the net filter discrimination (NFD) associated with Tx spectrum mask and overall Rx filter characteristics has been examined to obtain the adjacent channel protection ratio. The protection ratio comprises several factors such as C/N of modulation scheme, noise-to-interference ratio, multiple interference allowance, fade margins of multi-path and rain attenuation, and NFD. According to computed results for 6.7 GHz, 64-QAM, and 60 km at BER $10^{-6}$, fade margin and co-channel protection ratio are 41.1 and 75.2 dB, respectively, In addition, NFD for channel bandwidth of 40 MHz reveals 28.9 dB at the first adjacent channel, which results in adjacent channel protection ratio of 46.3 dB. The proposed method provides some merits of an easy calculation, systematic extension, and applying the same concept to frequency coordination in millimeter wave relay system networks.

  • Precision stages for 6-DOF positioning, actuated by PZT stacks, which are fed back by gap sensors and guided by flexure hinges, have enlarged their application territory in micro/nano manufacturing and measurement area. The precision stages inherently have such limitations as the nonlinearity between input and output in piezoelectric stacks, feedback signal noise in precision capacitive gap sensors and low material damping in precision kinematic linkages of mechanical flexures. To surmount these limitations, the precision stage is modeled with physics-based variables, which are identified by transient response correspondence, and a gain margin calculation algorithm using the Prandtl-Ishlinskii model and describing function is newly developed to assess system performance more precisely than linear controller design schemes. Based on such analyses, a precision positioning controller is designed. Excellent positioning accuracy with rapid settlement accomplished by the controller is shown in step responses of the closed-loop system.
