종이책과 전자책의 적소 관계 분석 (A Study on Relationship between Printed Book and E-Book Formats Based on Niche Theory)

  • 본 연구는 적소 이론에 기초하여 종이책과 전자책의 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 이에 종이책과 전자책에 대한 독서 경험을 자진 독자가 연구 참여자로 선정되었다. 종이책과 전자책의 경쟁은 충족 적소에 의해 측정되었으며, 종이책과 전자책에 대한 선행연구의 분석을 통해 충족으로서 정보습득, 대인관계 의사결정, 정서 습관, 휴대성 보관성, 경제성을 추출하였다. 연구 결과, 전자책이 휴대성 보관성과 경제성에 대해 경쟁적 우위성을 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 연구는 종이책과 전자책의 경쟁이 진행 중이며 전자책에 의한 종이책의 대체가 가능하다는 것을 보여준다.

  • The significance of hydrogen economy and production technology is steadily increasing. This research reviewed strategies for utilizing hydrogen production technology by combining a multi-layer model, strategic niche management, and the need factor for Hoship. The model was validated as a strategy considering hydrogen production technology and the transformation of the energy system. Using this, a new business model for hydrogen production technology was created, finding a strategic niche and sophisticating the technology. It also proposed ways to unlock the potential of hydrogen production technology and improve its efficiency. This work contributes to the commercialization of hydrogen production technology and its role in sustainable energy conversion. It proposes a new and effective approach for utilizing hydrogen production technology, going beyond its limitations to suggest a more efficient method. It is hoped that these results will be helpful to researchers in hydrogen energy, and serve as a reference for establishing ways to utilize hydrogen production technology.

드라마 콘텐츠의 리드 유저 기반 틈새 창출(niche creation) 메커니즘 연구 - 드라마 다모(茶母) 팬덤 커뮤니티를 중심으로 (The Study on niche creation mechanism of drama contents based on lead users - Focussing on drama Damo fandom community)

  • 본 연구는, 팬덤 커뮤니티의 창작과 생산을 통해 부상하는 무수한 UCC 클라우드(cloud)가 리드 유저에 의한 틈새 창출 과정임을 드라마 다모의 커뮤니티를 사례를 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 드라마 애호가와 팬픽션 작가들은 드라마 소비자들이자 UCC 창작/생산자로서 팬덤 커뮤니티에서 자신들의 니즈에 맞는 사용자 맞춤형 콘텐츠인 UCC와 팬픽션을 만드는 과정을 통해 원작 드라마와는 전혀 다른 틈새를 창출한다. 둘째, 커뮤니티의 크리에이티브 유저들이 만드는 드라마에 대한 소비/평가, 시청자 요구/적응, 유저의 창작/생산이라는 순차적인 흐름은 드라마 정보를 제공하고 의도적으로 자원을 공급/확산시키며 파생 상품을 생산하는 미디어 기업의 흐름과 상호작용하는 공진화(coevolution) 관계를 보여준다. 셋째, UCC와 팬픽션을 둘러싼 드라마 팬덤 커뮤니티의 활동은 드라마에 대한 재미와 놀이 그리고 공감을 넘어 지식이 투입되는 창작과 생산의 결과물을 통해 비상업적 활동이 시장과 지속적으로 연계되어 선순환되는 새로운 패러다임의 드라마 생태계를 형성하고 있다.

기후변화에 따른 도시 수종의 기후 적합성 평가모델 - 서울시를 대상으로 - (Modeling the Present Probability of Urban Woody Plants in the face of Climate Change)

  • The effect of climate change on urban woody plants remains difficult to predict in urban areas. Depending on its tolerances, a plant species may stay and survive or stay with slowly declining remnant populations under a changing climate. To predict those vulnerabilities on urban woody plants, this study suggests a basic bioclimatic envelop model of heat requirements, cold tolerance, chilling requirements and moisture requirements that are well documented as the 'climatic niche'. Each component of the 'climatic niche' is measured by the warmth index, the absolute minimum temperature, the number of chilling weeks and the water balance. Regarding the utility of the developed model, the selected urban plant's present probabilities are suggested in the future climate of Seoul. Both Korea and Japan's thermal thresholds are considered for a plant's optimal climatic niche. By considering the thermal thresholds of these two regions for the same species, the different responses observed will reflect the plant's 'hardening' process in a rising climate. The model illustrated that the subpolar plants Taxus cuspidata and Ulmus davidiana var. japonica are predicted to have low suitability in Seoul. The temperate plants Zelkova serrata and Pinus densiflora, which have a broad climatic niche, exhibited the highest present probability in the future. The subtropical plants Camellia japonica and Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii may exhibit a modest growth pattern in the late 21C's future climatic period when an appropriate frost management scheme is offered. The model can be used to hypothesize how urban ecosystems could change over time. Moreover, the developed model can be used to establish selection guidelines for urban plants with high levels of climatic adaptability.

  • 이 글은 지속 가능한 기술을 위한 정책적 도구로서 전략적 니치관리(Strategic Niche Management)를 개괄하고, 그 효용과 한계를 점검하고 있다. 전통적인 접근인 시장실패론적 접근과는 달리 전략적 니치관리의 접근은 시스템적 접근으로서, 다층적 관점(Multi Level Perspective)를 통해 기술혁신과 변화를 재분석해내고, 고착화된 사회 기술시스템의 전환을 이룩해내기 위한 방법론이다. 전략적 니치관리의 이론적, 경험적 미성숙에도 불구하고, 전략적 니치관리는 기술혁신과 발전에 대한 분석 틀로서 뿐만 아니라, 급진적 혁신을 만들어 낼 수 있는 도구로서의 가치가 주목된다. 노령화 사회에 대비한 혁신정책 및 지속가능한 에너지 시스템 구축을 위한 혁신정책, 위험사회에 대응한 혁신정책들이 새로운 혁신정책의 영역으로 부상하고 있는 상황에서 전략적 니치관리는 이들 분야에서 중요한 분석 및 실천도구로 활용되며 새로운 영역을 개척할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

$CO_2$ 농도 및 온도 상승에 의한 졸참나무의 생태적 지위 변화 (Variation of Ecological Niche of Quercus serrata under Elevated $CO_2$ Concentration and Temperature)

  • 한반도의 낙엽성 참나무인 졸참나무(Quercus serrata)의 생태적 지위폭이 $CO_2$ 농도와 온도가 상승하였을 때 광, 수분 그리고 영양소 구배에서 어떻게 변화하는지 알아보고자 유리온실에서 대조구와 온난화처리구로 구분하여 재배한 후, 유식물의 20가지 형질을 측정하고 생태적 지위폭을 계산하였다. 그 결과, 생태적 지위폭은 광구배에서 대조구보다 온난화처리구가 넓어졌고, 수분과 영양소 구배에서는 대조구보다 온난화처리구가 좁아졌다. 이것은 지구온난화 진행 시 졸참나무는 광 환경에 대한 내성이 증가되고, 수분과 영양소 환경에 대한 내성이 감소될 것으로 예측할 수 있다. 주성분분석(PCA) 결과, 각 환경 구배에서 요인 1과 요인 2에 의해 대조구와 온난화처리구가 구분되었다. 생태학적 반응은 다양한 형질이 종합적으로 관여하며, 그 중에서 식물의 생산량을 나타내는 형질이 많은 부분 관여하는 것으로 판단된다.

Identification of Niche Conditions Supporting Short-term Culture of Spermatogonial Stem Cells Derived from Porcine Neonatal Testis

  • Despite that porcine spermatogonial stem cells (pSSCs) have been regarded as a practical tool for preserving eternally genetic backgrounds derived from pigs with high performance in the economic traits or phenotypes of specific human diseases, there were no reports about precise definition of niche conditions promoting proliferation and maintenance of pSSCs. Accordingly, we tried to determine niche conditions supporting proliferation and maintenance of undifferentiated pSSCs for short-term. For these, undifferentiated pSSCs were progressively cultured in different composition of culture medium, seeding density of pSSCs, type of feeder cells and concentration of growth factors, and then total number of and alkaline phosphatase (AP) activity of pSSCs were investigated at post-6 day culture. As the results, the culture of $4{\times}10^5$ pSSCs on mitotically in activated $2{\times}10^5$ STO cells in the mouse embryonic stem cell culture medium (mESCCM) supplemented with 30 ng/ml glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) was identified as the best niche condition supporting effectively the short-term maintenance of undifferentiated pSSCs. Moreover, the optimized short-term culture system will be a basis for developing long-term culture system of pSSCs in the following researches.

토양수분구배에서 굴참나무와 떡갈나무의 생육반응, 생태 지위 및 중복역 (Growth Response, Ecological Niche and Overlap between Quercus variabilis and Quercus dentata under Soil Moisture Gradient)

  • The Quercus variabilis and Quercus dentata, which are said to be relatively drought tolerant among the important genus Quercus that represent deciduous broad-leaved forests in Korea. These two species are widely distributed worldwide in Korea, Japan and China (northern, central, western and eastern subtropical regions). This study compared the ecological niche breadth and overlap according to growth response in 4 soil moisture gradients for the two species and tried to reveal degree of competition and ecological niche characteristics. The ecological niche breadth was 0.977±0.020 for Q. variabilis and 0.979±0.014 for Q. dentata, the latter being slightly wider. And they were similar in 5 traits (stem length, leaf lamina length, leaf width length, stem weight, leaf petiole weight), Q. variabilis was more dominant in 4 traits (leaves number, stem diameter, leaf area, leaf petiole length), and Q. dentata was more dominant in 7 traits (root length, shoot length, plant weight, root weight, shoot weight, leaf weight, leaf petiole weight). The ecological niche overlap for soil moisture between the two species overlapped most in plant structure-related traits and least in photosynthetic organ-related traits such as petiole length. As a result of principal component analysis, degree of competition between the two species for soil moisture was more severe when the soil moisture condition was low than high. Among the measured traits that affect the two-dimensional distribution, 8 traits (Leaves number, Shoot length, Stem length, Plant weight, Root weight, Shoot weight, Stem weight, Leaves weight) were correlated with the factor 1, and 2 traits (Leaf width length, Leaf petiole weight) were correlated with the factor 2 (r>0.5). These results show that the ecological response of the two species to soil moisture is not a few traits involved, but several traits are involved simultaneously.

  • A number of previous researches in evolutionary algorithm are based on the study of facets we observe in natural evolution. The individuals of species in natural evolution occupy their own niche that is a subdivision of the habitat. This means that two species with the similar requirements cannot live together in the same niche. This is known as the competitive exclusion principle, i.e., complete competitors cannot coexist. In this paper, a new evolutionary programming algorithm adopting this concept is presented. Intraspecific Variation in the Temperature Niche Component of the Diatom Skeletonema costatum from Korean Coastal Waters

  • Final biomass yields (peak optical density) and growth rates (divisions/day) of seven clones of Skeletonema costatum from Korean coastal waters were measured to understand their intraspecific variations in the light intensity niche component under $25^{\circ}C$ condition. Daily growth rates of 6 of 7 S. costatum, clones were maximum at 6000 lux while that of YS4, a neritic clone, was maximum at 9000 lux. The final biomass yields of 4 of the 7 S. costatum clones were maximum at the lowest light intensity of 2000 lux. Minimum final biomass yields were found at 9000 lux in all the S. costatum clones other than an estuarine clone, HDC9. The intraspecific variations of the mean growth rate and mean final biomass yield under each of the three different light intensity in terms of the coefficient of variation were not greater than 10% in any of the 7 S. costatum clones.
