Students' response for air and water pollution was seriously accepted in city areas than in country areas, and in large cities than in small cities. 3. Students' response for air pollution showed that the quality of air was getting worse and major factor of air pollution was the exhausts of automobiles. 4. It showed that students' concern for water pollution was increased and water pollution was being accelerated by the increase of domestic and industrial sewages, the overuse of the agricultural chemicals, the entrophication and acid rain. 5. Students thought that soil pollution was mainly due to factory sewage, life sewage, heavy metal and agricultural medicines and so on. But now they think it is due to the degenerated and inseparable things such as used vinyle for farm and plastics. 6. Most students thought of the pollution of our country as serious. But they thought it could be removed if we tried to get rid of pollution. 7. Now students' consciousness to protect the nature took an active interest turn and was strong. Putting these various findings together, I suggested that, the efforts to turn students affirmative consciousness for the environment and a powerful plan by the nation to take off pollution should be needed. Also the education to enforce the environment preservation had to be needed.

The data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire in Seoul and its surrounding suburban areas. Factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and Dunnett's T3 tests were used to conduct the data analysis from 285 out of 300 questionnaires. The middle-aged and elderly women's fashion market was segmented into four groups; value-oriented, social status/trend-oriented, uniqueness-oriented, and protection/ convenience-oriented. All four groups were significantly different in terms of purchase criteria and fashion information sources. The social status/trend-oriented group used external purchase criteria, such as country of origin or brand and obtained fashion information from personal experience, advice from the salesperson, and celebrities. The protection/convenience-oriented group sourced fashion information from newspapers, the internet, and the radio. The uniqueness-oriented group put less importance on practical use/convenience criteria. Marketing strategies for these segmented markets were discussed.

  • The change of society causes the change of art necessarily. The experiments of plastic art which as been done by avant-garde movements at early 20th century have pursued ″Object drama″ consistently as trials of more or less abstract drama. As these plastic arts have used genre or media like circuses, sports, variate, films, screen play, newspapers and a quick method which had not been considered suitable for conventional aesthetic plastic arts, these arts looked provocative and, these provocative plastic arts have ignored universality shown in conventional arts and have caused extreme ″sensation″ accordingly. As a result, abstract art based on style which is against aestheticism and naturalism has been generalized. This style does not deny customary laws of art wholly but it requires new concept. Having ignored traditional styles, a new compositive and responsive way of composition which does not deviate from tradition has been pursued. A new and general understanding of arts which do not deny all conventionally-effective standards extremely has been developed. In this regard, this study analyzes characteristics of Bauhaus Theater which has tried to apply new technology engineering to plastic art as an integrated concept of art and technology amongst the directions of development of provocation, innovation and revolution in case of the plastic art of stage painting, and analyzes how this influences on modern painting in terms of avant-garde arts reviewing the meaning of this theory.

  • The goal of this paper is to analyze Korean migration to the Russian Far East(RFE) from the perspective of transnationalism. The analysis suggests that the Korean migrants could have constructed their transnational identities using the following practices: religious ritual, language uses, collective remittances, ethnic businesses, immigrant newspapers, and immigrant associations. In particular, the Korean migrants could have retained transnational interconnection between the places of origin and destination even without the process of globalization, which is regarded as an inevitable incentive to transnationalism in the literature. The Korean case indicates that the contextual changes in the sending and receiving countries, for instance, the establishment of a Japanese protectorate over Korea and the Russian Revolution, significantly facilitated the formation of transnational relationships among the Korean immigrants.

  • In this study, we investigate the science and mathematics articles in Hansungsunbo and Hansungjubo which are the first modernistic newspapers in Korea. Hansungsunbo was published from October 31, 1883 to December 4, 1884 and Hansungjubo was issued from January 25, 1886 to July, 1888. While these papers were published, Korea had concluded a treaty with America(1882), England(1883), Germany(1883), Russia, and France(1884). Therefore, Korea had a lot of problems with commercial relations, the civilization and enlightenment of the Korean society. In this situation, some leaders who had the enlightenment thought published these two papers in order to inform the Korean people of the worldwide news on the politics, economy, history, science and technology, and so on. In this paper, we bring up the title and the contents on the science articles and the mathematics test problems of 'Dongmoonguan' and 'Chunjinmoobi School'.
