Three ichneumonid wasp species of the tribe Poemeniini (Ichneumonidae: Poemeniinae) are redescribed from Korea: Cnastis assimilis (Uchida) (new Korean record), Deuteroxorides orientalis (Uchida) and Eugalta ablimarginalis (Uchida) (new Korean record). A key to the Korean species of Poemeniini, photographs of diagnostic characters, distributional data and host records are provided.

The euphausiid crustacean Stylocheiron abbreviatum G. O. Sars, 1883 has been found in the southern waters of Jeju Island, Korea. This species is the third member of the genus Stylocheiron and the twelfth of the family Euphausiidae identified in Korean waters. Using descriptions of this species, a key to Korean euphausiids is presented.

One species of the family Salpidae in Korean waters, Iasis zonaria (Pallas, 1774), was identified and redescribed. This species is newly added in the Korean fauna.

A squillid stomatopod, Oratosquilla fabricii, collected from Jindo Island, is reported for the first time in Korea. The family Squillidae differs from other families by the presence of more than four intermediate denticles of telson. This species is distinguished from O. oratoria, another Oratosquilla species recorded in Korea, by the presence of an armed submedian carinae on the fourth abdominal somite and dark patches on the second abdominal somite. In the present study, detailed descriptions and illustrations of O. fabricii are provided. A key to the species of Korean Oratosquilla species is also presented. With this new record, the number of stomatopod species in the Korean fauna has increased to 16.

Talipariti simile (Blume) Fryxell (아욱과)을 베트남 미기록 종으로 처음으로 보고한다. 본 종은 줄기에 털이 없는 유사종인 T. macrophyllum (Roxb. ex Hornem.) Fryxell 와는 달리 줄기에 자색을 띠는 작은 털이 있으며, 탁엽은 피침상 타원형으로 크기가 작으며, 삭과는 난형이며 끝이 뾰족하지 않거나 부리모양이 아니다. 종 동정을 위한 분류학적 기재, 식물도해, 원색사진을 첨부하였다. 또한 유사 종들과의 비교를 위한 검색형질을 제시하였다.

Justicia kampotiana Benoist (쥐꼬리망초과)를 베트남 미기록종으로 보고한다. 본 종은 유사종인 J. ingrata Benoist와 달리 외화관에 털이있으며, 화통은 판연 보다 약간 길고 화병보다는 아주 짧다. 종 동정을 위한 기재, 그림도해 및 컬러사진과 함께 본 종과 유사종의 비교를 위한 검색형질들을 제시하였다.

This study is based on crane fly specimens collected during more than 80 years, starting from 1938 through 2019, in the Republic of Korea and Democratic People's Republic of Korea and are in collections maintained at the United States National Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, USA; the Snow Entomological Museum, University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS, USA; and the National Institute of Biological Resources, Incheon, South Korea. Pilaria crane flies are aquatic and semiaquatic, developing in fast running and stagnant water bodies and in wet muddy places at the margins of water pools. Such habitats usually prevail at lower altitudes, but these areas most often are used for agriculture and human settlement, making natural habitats scarce and fragmented. Pilaria crane flies are rare, thus it is not surprising that genus was left unnoticed by previous researchers. The genus Pilaria Sintenis, 1889 with two species P. melanota Alexander, 1922 and P. simulans Savchenko, 1983, is a new record for the Korean Peninsula. We present general information on the genus, redescriptions of species based on Korean specimens, illustrations of both sexes, elevation range, period of activity, habitat information, general distribution, and a distribution map for the Korean Peninsula for each species.

The genus Microplitis (Braconidae: Microgastrinae) is reported for the first time from Korea. The Microplitis has often quite small hypopygium, very short ovipositor and rugose propodeum with large aleola. The genus contains 190 described species, among them 19 speceis were recorded in Korea. Microplitis varicolor was established by Viereck in 1917. The species is found as new to Korea in this study. Microplitis varicolor is endoparasitoid, especially attacking species of Noctuidae (Insecta: Lepidoptera) including pests of leguminous crop. In this study, diagnosis, photographs and host lists are included.

Dinoflagellates were investigated from the coastal waters of Korea. The total 100 thecate dinoflagellates taxa, comprising of 93 species five varieties and two forms were identified, which were attributed to four orders nine families, 13 genera in Korean coastal waters. 22 species, two varieties and two forms were new to Korean waters. Ceratium arcticum, C. longirostrum, C. praelongum, C. tripos var. ponticum, Gonyaulax jollifei, G. pavillardii, Protoperidinium cassum cassum, P. conicum f. asamushi, P. depressum var. parallelum, P. elegans f. granulatum, P. globifera, P. incognitum, P. majus, P. mite, P. obtusum, P. pallidum daedalum, P. parvum, P. perplexum, P. pyriforme pyriforme, P. pyrum, P. sphaeroides, P. subsphericum, P. valgus, P. venustum, Diplopsalopsis orbicularis, Gotoius abei were new record species for Korea.
