  • Content-Centric Networking (CCN) is a new Internet architecture with routing and caching centered on contents. Through its receiver-driven and connectionless communication model, CCN natively supports the seamless mobility of nodes and scalable content acquisition. In-network caching is one of the core technologies in CCN, and the research of efficient caching scheme becomes increasingly attractive. To address the problem of unbalanced cache load distribution in some existing caching strategies, this paper presents a neighbor cooperation based in-network caching scheme. In this scheme, the node with the highest betweenness centrality in the content delivery path is selected as the central caching node and the area of its ego network is selected as the caching area. When the caching node has no sufficient resource, part of its cached contents will be picked out and transferred to the appropriate neighbor by comprehensively considering the factors, such as available node cache, cache replacement rate and link stability between nodes. Simulation results show that our scheme can effectively enhance the utilization of cache resources and improve cache hit rate and average access cost.

  • Recently, the weight of high-quality multimedia contents is explosively growing out of the network total traffic. This steep increase of media contents to require huge traffic does not contribute to the generation of revenue streams and it leads to the situation of dumb pipe to trouble network providers into the big burden of investment on the network expansion. Accordingly, the transfer to the smart network to enable the effective delivery of large-scale media is imminently challenging issue to the network providers to seek the profitable business. The smart network revolves around the technologies to enhance end-to-end quality and fair usage with network resources and to optimize the traffic for the contents delivery over the concept of Content-Centric Network. In this paper, we propose an architecture and fundamental functions suitable for the smart network and suggest improved test results through the construction of an experimental network.

  • In recent years, various contents traffics are increasing according to the various internet connectable devices which have become contents provider. Because these contents traffics show different pattern from previous one, many researches for efficient contents delivery system are in progress. CCN(Contents Centric Network), one of the representative research subject, has inter operation problem with a current network because it has clean-state architecture. In this point of view, this paper suggests the SaNA(Service adaptive Network Architecture) for efficient contents delivery when it inter operates with current network architecture. SaNA is a convergence system which can be gradually applied to current network using CCN and SDN(Software Defined Network) which are core future internet technologies. Appling this system on the contents delivery service, it can increase the network bandwidth utilization by two times and decrease the contents delivery time by 1.7 times.

  • Network and Internet technology opens up another domain for building future CAD/CAM environment. The environment will be global, network-centric, and spatially distributed. In this paper, we present an approach for network-centric feature-based modeling in a distributed design environment. The presented approach combines the current feature-based modeling technique with distributed computing and communication technology for supporting product modeling and collaborative design activities over the network. The approach is implemented in a client/server architecture, in which Web-enabled feature modeling clients, neutral feature model server, and other applications communicate with one another via a standard communication protocol. The paper discusses how the neutral feature model supports multiple views and maintains naming consistency between geometric entities of the server and clients. Moreover, it explains how to minimize the network delay between the server and client according to incremental feature modeling operations.

  • Concerning the effectiveness of command and control is increasing worldwide as future warfare is changing into Network Centric Warfare (NCW). Unlike the old attrition warfare that depends mainly on mobility and strike assets, the modern warfare is based on information and network which regards acquisition and circulation of information as important. Therefore, there's no room for rediscussion that C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) system will play an important role in warfare. In spite of this fact, there isn't any way to explain clearly how to measure the effectiveness of command and control system in a battle and to reflect it systematically in a system effectiveness. In this study, we examined NCO-CF (Network Centric Operations-Conceptual Framework), developed by the Department of Defense (DOD), which can conceptually explain the increment of effectiveness of C4ISR system that is the basis of NCO. And we suggested methodology based on NCO-CF to establish the evaluation criteria for M&S analysis of command and control effectiveness. As a case study we derived the evaluation criteria for the command and control system in joint operations by applying the suggested methodology.

  • Military communications have limited resources such as poor bandwidth and insufficient link capacity. Numerous hosts in conventional IP networks, including the Tactical Information Communication Network (TICN), the tactical communication system of the Army, focus heavy traffic on a single server via end-to-end connections and in which data delivery latency is caused by exchanging routing information. Content-Centric Networking (CCN), one framework of Information-Centric Networking (ICN), is a novel Internet paradigm in which data can be accessed by the name of the content instead of the location information. This paper provides content caching strategies for applying CCN to military tactical IP networks based on TICN environment.

  • Information Grid that connects Sensor Grid and Shooter Grid with network is the core infrastructure to enable the NCW concept. The U.S. DoD(Department of Defense) has developed the GIG(Global Information Grid) as the Information Grid that connects all of the DoD mission areas. Then the U.S. DoD has incrementally constructed GIG. In this respect, the case of the U.S. DoD's GIG construction refers to materializing ROK Information Grid concept. Therefore we studied the U.S. DoD's GIG construction trend and analyzed ROK's GIG construction trend. In result this paper proposes the way to develop and construct ROK's GIG.

  • In CCVN, the existing content search and delivery protocols based on single-hop or multi-hop cause low content search ratio and high network traffic overhead. This paper proposes a RSU-based protocol for efficient content search and delivery. In the proposed protocol, an RSU chooses the candidate provider vehicle that provides the cost-minimized content delivery to the content requester vehicle. Simulation results verify that the proposed protocol achieves better performances.

  • A data-centric routing protocol considering a data aggregation technique at relay nodes is required to increase the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. An energy-efficient data-centric routing algorithm is proposed by considering a tradeoff between acquisition time and energy consumption in the wireless sensor network. First, the proposed routing scheme decides the sink node among all sensor nodes in order to minimize the maximum distance between them. Then, the proposed routing extends its tree structure in a way to minimize the link cost between the connected nodes for reducing energy consumption while minimizing the maximum distance between sensor nodes and a sink node for rapid information gathering. Simulation results show that the proposed data-centric routing algorithm has short information acquisition time and low energy consumption; thus, it achieves high energy efficiency in the wireless sensor network compared to conventional routing algorithms.

  • Over the society the trial for several systems to be connected with Network has been continued to share information and to make it various. In accordance with such a change, the concept of military warfare conduction has been changing form platform centric warfare in separate combat system based on network centric warfare in network based. We have continuously made an effort that we try to get the goal with efficient system which is linked up with network, but such a study on that one in military system analysis is still slower than the study out of military until now. So this study is searching network influence factor by using military network with application of social network analysis method which is used broadly in the society and the science as well. At this time we search co-relationships between social network and the thing that we can analyse C2 time by effectiveness measurement means. By this study it has value of network influence factor identification for the growing network composition.
