  • In this paper, we will show some relations between decomposition series {${\nu}^{\alpha}\;:\;{\alpha}$ is an ordinal } and supratopological series {${\sigma}_{\alpha}{\nu}\;:\;{\alpha}$ is an ordinal} for a neighborhood structure $\nu$ and the formular ${\sigma}_{\alpha}{\nu}\;=\;{\nu}^{({\omega}^{\alpha})}$, where $\omega$ is the first limit ordinal.

  • The aim of this study is to reconstruct neighborhood public space appropriating for the contemporary society. The rapid development of technology has brought a number of changes to society. People's way of thinking has changed and the requirements about space has become more complex. At the urban neighborhood park, although multiple groups of citizens showed various activities, the program and structure of urban park are too fixed to support their activities. Therefore, strategy and flexible devices are needed to activate and stimulate the multi-user's complex activities. Through the case of Hong-Ik children's park, I will analyze the result of investigation about the pattern of space-user and suggest neighborhood public facilities proper to contemporary situation.

  • Product characteristic approach and hedonic method were explained and applied to demand behavior of housing for 360 households sampled from four districts of Seoul. Th major findings are: 1) Housing prices are determined by housing characteristics, i.e., basic structure, interior space, interior quality, and neighborhood quality. 2) as income increase , the demand for basic structure, interior space, interior of quality, and neighbor hood quality increases. As compared to the counties that have advanced housing financial systems, income elasticity form housing characteristics was low. 3) householder's educational level has insignificant effects on the demand for neighborhood quality. 4) the housing need of family is different to a family life cycle. In the first stage, the increase of income enhances the demand for basic structure. interior space, and interior quality, but inversed with neighborhood quality. In the second and third stages, the demand for basic structure, interior space, and interior quality increases as the income increases. 5) It is predicted that the larger the family size, the more housing space is required. But in the low-income group, an increase in family size results in a decrease in the demand for interior space because expenses for food and education are indispensable ones. In the middle -income group the demand for interior space, interior quality increases as the family size increases, In the high-income group, the larger the family size the more interior quality is demanded. As mentioned above, the demand for housing is derived form characteristics and the demand behavior far housing characteristics is varied with individual household's characteristics. Therefore, the fact that different housing needs according to various income groups should be considered in housing policy.

  • We construct a new definition of a base for ordinary smooth topological spaces and introduce the concept of a neighborhood structure in ordinary smooth topological spaces. Then, we state some of their properties which are generalizations of some results in classical topological spaces.

  • This study was to examine the characteristics of wirdbirds habitat for improvement plan in green corridor. The target site, Gangseo-gu artificial green corridor was set up with the structure in which small scale of core green space with Goongsan and Yeomchang neighborhood parks in urbanized city was connected with the artificial green space with Gongamnaru, Hwanggeumnae neighborhood parks with 28~42.5 m in width. Wild birds six~eleven species; Dendrocopos spp, Paradoxornis webbiana, Parus major, Phasianus colchicus, etc. were observed in core green, but wild birds of two~five species: Columba livuia, Passer montanus, Pica pica, Hypsipetes amaurotis, etc. were observed in artificial green space. Thus wild birds of artificial and generalist species only moved in artificial green space. The artificial green space where vegetation structure was consisted of single-layer with poorness chose target species laying stress on generalist species and edge species of Parus major, P. palustris, Paradoxornis webbiana etc. for short-term and interior species of Dendrocopos major, Picus canus, etc. for long-term. The result suggested enhancement methods for target species's habitat in green corridor: to secure at least a corridor 30 meters in artificial corridor, to secure ecological pond, to offer the various shelterer and environment of prey-resources through the multi-layer structure.

  • Korea is experiencing unprecedented destruction of communities and crisis of mental health represented by top suicide rate among OECD countries. Its causes are manifold of various factors. One of them is lack of social support and broken communities that are closely related to social capital that is linked to other health indicators such as mortality rates. This studies looks for ways to improve social capital through spatial structure and features especially social capital related to neighborhood. Researchers conducted research literature review and observation on physical features of neighborhood streets and alleys. Review of studies show housing types can affect social capital level. High-rise apartments are related with lower neighborhood related social capital compared to single homes and low-rise multi-housing. Studies that mainly examined the physical features such as street layout showed that social encounters happened around local stores and crossings of small roads. Researchers identified actual streets that are more likely to be related with social activities in the neighborhood. Those streets were with physical elements that helped social exchange such as narrower streets, exposed stairs, street furniture of residents, parks, crossing of streets while other streets were with wider and easier access of cars.

  • Recently super complex culture shopping facility development seeks consumer' convenience present and are coming restaurant neighborhood, cinema, shopping, hotel etc, according to intensive plan. Such as complex culture shopping facility was developed to most subway station area center and have concept that is space for a main facilities or space for environment protection, citizens' a rest in city. Howeve,r space of recently domestic large size complex culture shopping facility that do not plan systematically was lacking and caused result that do not use efficiently space. Limited extent of research that define complex culture shopping equipment and analyze form of space and present space planning with analysis of research connected with complex usage development.

  • The rapid increase in the number of climate disasters combined with the scale of change and the diversification of natural disasters require a radical solution. In particular, the urban space is more complex, therefore we need to establish measures for disaster response and how to react to damaged infrastructure based on the phenomenon of an increase in the urban population and the impermeable layer being extended. The social problems related to the economic burden of land purchase and the securing of a disaster prevention system can be solved simultaneously by introducing the park system for disaster reduction into the public land of the green space in the city. The local government has recently adapted diverse systems of disaster mitigation and carried out pioneer projects according to the guidelines for the construction of the urban park for disaster prevention published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The purpose of this study is to propose a composition model for neighborhood parks to prevent disaster through urban green spaces which has the functions of water management and biotope conservation. The result of this study will contribute to utilize the climate change adaptation model for living area neighborhood parks in the existing urban structure.

  • A method to design a robust servomechanism by continuously variable structure control is proposed. The state and control signal of this servomechanism do notchatter since a continuous control scheme is used. The input-output relation of this servomechanism is determined by prescribing a hyperplane in a state space of which the neighborhood is asymptotically attractive everywhere. This control mechanism was applied to a single rod cylinder servomechanism which has the nonlinerities due to their nonsymmetrical structure and its excellency was verified.
