Because of multi-hop wireless communication, P2P applications in ad hoc networks suffer poor performance. We Propose neighbor caching strategy to overcome this shortcoming and show it is more efficient than self caching that nodes store data in theirs own cache individually. A node can extend its caching storage instantaneously with neighbor caching by borrowing the storage from idle neighbors, so overcome multi-hop wireless communications with data source long distance away from itself. We also present the ranking based prediction that selects the most appropriate neighbor which data can be stored in. The node that uses the ranking based prediction can select the neighbor that has high possibility to keep data for a long time and avoid caching the low ranked data. Therefore the ranking based prediction improves the throughput of neighbor caching. In the simulation results, we observe that neighbor caching has better performance, as large as network size, as long as idle time, and as small as cache size. We also show the ranking based prediction is an adaptive algorithm that adjusts times of data movement into the neighbor, so makes neighbor caching flexible according to the idleness of nodes

Content-Centric Networking (CCN) is a new Internet architecture with routing and caching centered on contents. Through its receiver-driven and connectionless communication model, CCN natively supports the seamless mobility of nodes and scalable content acquisition. In-network caching is one of the core technologies in CCN, and the research of efficient caching scheme becomes increasingly attractive. To address the problem of unbalanced cache load distribution in some existing caching strategies, this paper presents a neighbor cooperation based in-network caching scheme. In this scheme, the node with the highest betweenness centrality in the content delivery path is selected as the central caching node and the area of its ego network is selected as the caching area. When the caching node has no sufficient resource, part of its cached contents will be picked out and transferred to the appropriate neighbor by comprehensively considering the factors, such as available node cache, cache replacement rate and link stability between nodes. Simulation results show that our scheme can effectively enhance the utilization of cache resources and improve cache hit rate and average access cost.
The Voronoi diagram (VD) is the most suitable mechanism to find the nearest neighbor (NN) for mobile clients. In NN query processing, it is important to reduce the query response time, since a late query response may contain out-of-date information. In this paper, we study the issue of location dependent information services (LDISs) using a VD. To begin our study, we first introduce a broadcast-based spatial query processing methods designed to support NN query processing. In further sections, we introduce a generic method for location-dependent sequential prefetching and caching. The performance of this scheme is studied in different simulated environments. The core contribution of this research resides in our analytical proof and experimental results.

Mobile applications and social networks tend to enhance the need for high-quality content access. To address the rapid growing demand for data services in mobile networks, it is necessary to develop efficient content caching and distribution techniques, aiming at significantly reduction of redundant content transmission and thus improve content delivery efficiency. In this article, we develop optimal cooperative content cache and distribution policy, where a geographical cluster model is designed for content retrieval across the collaborative small cell base stations (SBSs) and replacement of cache framework. Furthermore, we divide the SBS storage space into two equal parts: the first is local, the other is global content cache. We propose an algorithm to minimize the content caching delay, transmission cost and backhaul bottleneck at the edge of networks. Simulation results indicates that the proposed neighbor SBSs cooperative caching scheme brings a substantial improvement regarding content availability and cache storage capacity at the edge of networks in comparison with the current conventional cache placement approaches.
A peer-to-peer web caching has been studied recently as it can reduce the traffic converged on the server side and can support the traditional web caching model. Although the peer-to-peer web caching has the merit of having additional cache space from the local caches of peers without additional infrastructure, several constraints such as dynamic participation and local caching strategy caused by the autonomy of peers in peer-to-peer networks nay limit the performance of the peer-to-peer web caching. To overcome these limitations, we propose an efficient directory-based peer-to-peer web caching system under dynamic participation of peers. In the proposed caching system, we present new peer selection and replica management schemes by introducing the concept of the object lifetime in P2P networks. We evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system through trace-driven simulations with a web log dataset. Simulation results show that the proposed system has higher accuracy and fewer redirection failures than the conventional directory-based P2P web caching system in feasible peer-to-peer networks.

In this paper, we propose an efficient service discovery scheme that combines peer-to-peer caching advertisement and node ID-based selective forwarding service requests. P2P caching advertisement quickly spreads available service information and reduces average response hop count since service information store in neighbor node cache. In addition, node ID-based service requests can minimize network transmission delay and can reduce network load since do not broadcast to all neighbor node. Proposed scheme does not require a central lookup server or registry and not rely on flooding that create a number of transmission messages. Simulation results show that proposed scheme improved network loads and response times since reduce a lot of messages and reduce average response hop counts using adaptive selective nodes among neighbor nodes compared to traditional flooding-based protocol.

Node which plays the role of cache server does not exist in the wireless ad-hoc network consisting of only mobile nodes. Even if it exists, it is difficult to provide cache services due to the movement of nodes. Therefore, the cooperative cache technique is necessary in order to improve the efficiency of information access by reducing data access time and use of bandwidth in the wireless ad-hoc network. In this paper, the whole network is divided into zones which don't overlap and master node of each zone is elected. General node of each zone has ZICT and manages cache data to cooperative cache and gateway node use NZCT to manage cache information of neighbor zone. We proposed security structure which can accomplish send and receive in the only node issued id key in the elected master node in order to prepare for cache consistent attack which is vulnerability of distributed caching techniques. The performance of the proposed method in this paper could confirm the excellent performance through comparative experiments of GCC and GC techniques.

Distance browsing queries, namely k-nearest neighbor queries, are the most important queries in spatial database applications, e.g., Geographic Information Systems(GISs). Recently, GIS applications trends to extend themselves toward wide multi-user environments such as the Web. Since many techniques for such queries, where Hjaltason and Samet's algorithm is the most efficient one, were optimized for only one query, we need to complement them suitable for multi-user environments. It can be a good approach that we store many individual query results in a cache, i.e., query result caching and reuse them in evaluating incoming queries, j.e., query result matching. In this paper, we propose a complementary Hjaltason and Samet's algerian capable of reusing previous query results in a cache for answering distance browsing queries in multi-user GIS environments. Our experimental results conform the efficiency of our approach.
Due to the recent development of social media and mobile devices, graph data have been using in various fields. In addition, caching techniques for reducing I/O costs in the process of large capacity graph data have been studied. In this paper, we propose a multi-layer caching scheme considering the connectivity of the graph, which is the characteristics of the graph topology, and the history of the past subgraph usage. The proposed scheme divides a cache into Used Data Cache and Prefetched Cache. The Used Data Cache maintains data by weights according to the frequently used sub-graph patterns. The Prefetched Cache maintains the neighbor data of the recently used data that are not used. In order to extract the graph patterns, their past history information is used. Since the frequently used sub-graphs have high probabilities to be reused, they are cached. It uses a strategy to replace new data with less likely data to be used if the memory is full. Through the performance evaluation, we prove that the proposed caching scheme is superior to the existing cache management scheme.
