This paper presents a feature selection technique based on distributional differences for efficient machine learning. Initial training data consists of data including many features and a target value. We classified them into positive and negative data based on the target value. We then divided the range of the feature values into 10 intervals and calculated the distribution of the intervals in each positive and negative data. Then, we selected the features and the intervals of the features for which the distributional differences are over a certain threshold. Using the selected intervals and features, we could obtain the reduced training data. In the experiments, we will show that the reduced training data can reduce the training time of the neural network by about 40%, and we can obtain more profit on simulated stock trading using the trained functions as well.

Recently, 'Juvenile' is associated with the 'Misconduct', for it becomes an object of public concern. Therefore in this study, we suggest counterplan about the group traits connected juvenile-life intimately. First, parents promote conversation among the family and are concerned about their children. And they find out the problems in the bud to educate beforehand Second, the counterplan by school attaches great importance to individual contact. Third, in the counterplan on social aspects, adults' unwholesome ideas, bad effects of the mass communication, the lack of teenager's association, negative activity, leisure facilities and lack of opportunity for juveniles bring about negative facts for education of teenagers. Therefore we need positive counterplan to enlighten the young and purify the social environment. And the nation establish righteous values for the younger generation to not commit a crime and punish severely as well as must prepare the realistic and clear policy for the young to bear the responsibility for their role.

In this letter, we present a new speech hash function based on the non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) of linear prediction coefficients (LPCs). First, linear prediction analysis is applied to the speech to obtain its LPCs, which represent the frequency shaping attributes of the vocal tract. Then, the NMF is performed on the LPCs to capture the speech's local feature, which is then used for hash vector generation. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed hash function in terms of discrimination and robustness against various types of content preserving signal processing manipulations.

SOA has been adopted by enormous number of organizations world-wide. This study has investigated significant factors which affect SOA adoption in positive and negative manner. Unlike the previous similar studies, where they focused on qualitative analysis for SOA adoption, this study conducted a quantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between the adoption of SOA and the performance of IT organizations. In order to conduct the research, an online questionnaire was created and distributed among SOA experts through the social networking platform of professionals, LinkedIn. Total one hundred and four (104) respondents from thirty (30) different countries participated in this study. The results of this study indicate that there are both positive and negative influences upon SOA adoption. The positive influences includes: governance, strategy, culture and communication, business and IT alignment and ROI; whereas complexity, security concerns, and costs have negatively affected SOA adoption.

When comparing media freedom in Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand, so-called "fake news" appears as threats to a deliberative (online) public sphere in these three diverse contexts. However, "racist propaganda", "information operations" and "negative campaigning" might be more accurate terms that explain these forms of systematic manipulative political communication. The three cases show forms of disinformation in under-researched contexts and thereby expand the often Western focused discourses on hate speech and fake news. Additionally, the analysis shows that harmful disinformation disseminated online originates from differing contextual trajectories and is not an "online phenomenon". Drawing on an analysis of connotative context factors, this explorative comparative study enables an understanding of different forms of harmful disinformation in Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. The connotative context factors were inductively inferred from 32 expert interviews providing explanations for the formation of political communication (control) mechanisms.

This paper address the issues of satisfaction factors to measure the service quality in computer communication service users. In order to develope a satisfaction factors' model, we study appropriate quality factors of the service through the focus group interviews with service users, and surveys the quality levels that users have felt in services. It also analyzes the relationship between the user's quality level and the quality factors by the statistical analyses. Based on the optimal regression model, we suggest an appropriate satisfaction model in PC communication service areas. That model shows that most users are interested in the fare for use. Use-fare factor is the most powerful one to the satisfaction model. Second one is usefulness, next is correctness. But connect-status factor is the only negative one. Most users think that its factor is in the way of fluent communication. So to keep the competitiveness in the PC communication service, the sixth negative factor should be modified as soon as possible.

Based on the optimal regression model, we suggest an appropriate satisfaction model in PC communication utilizations. That model shows that most users are interested in the A/S area for use. A/S factor is the most powerful one to the satisfaction model. Second one is usefulness, next is DB quality. But service-ability factor and convenience one are negative ones. Most users think that their factors are in the way of fluent communication. So to keep the competitiveness in the PC communication utilizations, the negative factors should be amended as soon as possible.

This letter presents a compact metamaterial-based tunable zeroth-order resonant antenna. It is based on the double-negative unit cell with a function of tunable inductance realized by a varactor and impedance convertor in the shunt branch. The resonant frequency of the designed antenna ranges from 2.31 to 3.08 GHz, depending on the capacitance of the used varactor. Its size is very compact ($0.05{\lambda}_0{\times}0.2{\lambda}_0$) with a relatively wide tunable range of 29.1%. The impedance bandwidth of the antenna is from 20 to 50 MHz for the resonant center frequency. The measured maximum total realized gain is from -0.68 dBi (2.43 GHz) to 1.69 dBi (2.97 GHz). The EM-simulated and measured results are in good agreement.

This study presents the pattern and determinants of intra-industry trade in Korea's machinery and transport equipment industry focusing the influence of foreign direct investment on intra-industry trade. Using an OLS regression model the determinants of intra-industry trade are investigated. Results indicate that a statistically significant negative relationship is found between intra-industry trade and foreign direct investment, and show that intra-industry trade is positively affected by the degree of product differentiation and export structure similarity. Intra-industry trade is also positively associated with the economies of scale, the level of trade barrier, and transportation costs, although this is not statistically significant. The study found strong evidence that the propensity of foreign direct investment toward export specialized industry makes the negative relationship between intra-industry trade and foreign direct investment.

machine learning 기법 중 하나인 logistic regression을 이용하여 benign sample과 breast cancer sample을 구분할 수 있는데, 이 연구를 통해 classification의 정확도를 높이고 false positive와 false negative의 비율을 줄이려고 했다. 그래서 logistic regression의 parameter 값을 바탕으로 regression function에 영향을 많이 주는 feature 들을 선택하고, 영향력 있는 feature 들을 더한 새로운 feature를 추가했다. 그 결과 정확도와 F-score가 증가했으며, false positive, false negative의 비율이 감소했다.
