의복, 배경의 조합에 따른 시각적 이미지 연구(제2보) (A Study on the Visual Evaluation for the combination of 'Clothing and Ground')

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of the visual evaluation for the Picture image combination of Clothing and Ground. The major finding were as follows ; 1) For the visual evaluation of the Picture image as Clothing variation there were significant differences in all factors 2) For the visual evaluation of the Picture image as Ground variation there were significant differences in Attractiveness Hardness and softness Cuteness Attention Cool and Warm factor 3) For the visual evaluation of the Picture image as Percentage of Clothing there were significant differences in Attractiveness cool and Warm factor. It will Percentage of Clothing there were significant differences in Attractiveness Cool and Warm factor. It will aid in choosing the most beneficial background for any clothing brand. It will enhance the picture images to their full potential in any advertising medium 4) As a result of Regression analysis image effecting on " Preference" is refined-country like harmonious-inharmonious comfortable-uncomfortable beautiful-ugly splendid-dull stable-uneasy live-gentle 5) For the Image effecting on "Harmony" according to clothing image there were significant differences. the results analyzed according to the change of background are as follows. Mdern and strong images formed charming urban and cool visual images with urban and neat artificial backgrounds. Mature images were created with romantic and static artificial backgrounds. Mannish straight and conservative images created charming and rigid visual images in urban and formatted artificial background. Using a white natural background for the urban style created a cool visual image. The use of an interior background lead to warmer images and more defination lines Causal images created a rural and warm image which expressed charm and a soft visual while using a rural and natural background. A most unharmonious and hard image was created when using an urban and formatted artificial background. The coolest visual image was created with a cool and natural background. Feminine and flawless images created urban and neat visual image using an urban and formatted artificial background. 캠핑장소에 따른 자연방사선량 관한 측정 평가 (The Evaluation of Measuring about Natural Background Radiation according with Camping Place)

  • 주5일 근무제와 여가 생활의 증가로 인하여 캠핑을 하는 사람들이 지속적으로 증가 하고 있다. 따라서 다양한 캠핑장시설이 증가하고 있다. 사설 캠핑장의 경우 파쇄석이라 불리는 자갈 사이트와 일반 흙으로 된 사이트 등 다양한 사이트가 존재한다. 캠핑장은 야외 활동이 많은 곳이기 때문에 캠핑장내에서 측정되는 방사선량을 각각 다른 싸이트 별로 자연방사선량을 측정한 후에 분석하였다. 파쇄석으로 만들어진 장소보다는 흙으로 만들어진 싸이트에서 자연방사선량이 적게 측정되었으며, 인위적으로 만든 타프 그늘보다는 자연적으로 형성된 나무그늘이 자연 방사선량이 적게 측정되었다. 결론적으로 캠핑장소 선택시에서 자연방사선량을 피하려면 인위적으로 만든 캠핑장 보다는 나무가 많은 자연휴양림 장소가 캠핑하기 좋은 곳 이라고 알리고 싶다.

실감형 콘텐츠 제작을 위한 3D 자연환경 저작 소프트웨어 개발 (Authoring Software Development of 3D Natural Environment for Realistic Contents)

  • 3D 콘텐츠의 등장인물과 실내 환경 구현에 집중하던 개발자들은 하드웨어 성능의 빠른 향상과 야외환경을 배경으로 제작되는 콘텐츠의 수요가 증가됨에 따라 사실적인 3D 야외환경을 표현하기 위한 자연현상 표현 기술 개발에 관심을 두고 있다. 특히, 야외를 배경으로 제작되는 e-sports 콘텐츠와 시뮬레이션 콘텐츠는 더욱 사실적인 자연환경 표현이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 실외를 배경으로 하는 e-sports 콘텐츠 및 3D 시뮬레이션 콘텐츠에 적용할 수 있는 사실적인 3D 자연환경을 보다 쉽고 편리하게 제작하기 위한 소프트웨어 "EMtool(Environment Making Tool)"을 제안한다. EMtool은 자연현상들의 유대관계 및 상호작용을 사실적으로 표현하기 위한 기술에 중점을 두고 개발되었으며, 3D가상공간 내에서 자연환경을 표현하기 위한 기술들과 자연물을 표현하기 위한 기술들을 포함한다. 제안된 방법은 쉽고 빠르게 3D 야외 환경 구성이 가능함에 따라 사실적인 자연환경을 배경으로 제작되는 게임이나 가상 시뮬레이션 등 실시간 3D 콘텐츠에 활용이 가능할 것이다. 또한 사실적인 3D 자연환경 제작 기술을 제공함으로서 콘텐츠의 품질 향상은 물론 콘텐츠 맞춤형 3D 자연환경을 실시간에 제작할 수 있음으로 생산성을 증대시킬 수 있을 것이다.

Automatic Object Segmentation and Background Composition for Interactive Video Communications over Mobile Phones

  • This paper proposes an automatic object segmentation and background composition method for video communication over consumer mobile phones. The object regions were extracted based on the motion and color variance of the first two frames. To combine the motion and variance information, the Euclidean distance between the motion boundary pixel and the neighboring color variance edge pixels was calculated, and the nearest edge pixel was labeled to the object boundary. The labeling results were refined using the morphology for a more accurate and natural-looking boundary. The grow-cut segmentation algorithm begins in the expanded label map, where the inner and outer boundary belongs to the foreground and background, respectively. The segmented object region and a new background image stored a priori in the mobile phone was then composed. In the background composition process, the background motion was measured using the optical-flow, and the final result was synthesized by accurately locating the object region according to the motion information. This study can be considered an extended, improved version of the existing background composition algorithm by considering motion information in a video. The proposed segmentation algorithm reduces the computational complexity significantly by choosing the minimum resolution at each segmentation step. The experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm can generate a fast, accurate and natural-looking background composition.

Derivation of Threshold Values for Groundwater in Romania, in order to Distinguish Point & Diffuse Pollution from Natural Background Levels

  • Romania aims to adopt and implement the European Union's legislation, also including that for the field of water management. Like other countries, groundwater in Romania is locally polluted from point sources, such as leaking landfills, as well as from diffuse pollution sources, include fertilizers, pesticides and leakages from sewers, in urbanized areas. Diffuse pollution can also occur indirectly, by over-exploitation of groundwater wells, resulting in salt water intrusion, as well as from mining and exploitation of mineral aggregates. Romania has quite an intensive monitoring scheme to measure groundwater quality in phreatic and confined aquifers. The purpose of the work resumed in this paper was to derive natural background levels (NBL) for groundwater in order to distinguish the natural elevated concentrations of some substances (natural phenomena) from point and diffuse pollution (anthropogenic phenomena). Based on these NBLs, threshold values (TV) for groundwater will be set according to the requirements of the European Water Framework Directive and the related Groundwater Directive. This paper describes the results of a study for the derivation of NBL and TV in a pilot Groundwater Body. Also, the process and draft results for extrapolating this work for all Romanian groundwater bodies is explained, as well as points for future consideration with respect to monitoring and management.

한국 연안 퇴적물 내 중금속 원소의 자연적 배경농도 연구 (Natural Background Level Analysis of Heavy Metal Concentration in Korean Coastal Sediments)

  • This paper presents an attempt to determine natural background levels of heavy metals which could be used for assessing heavy metal contamination. For this study, a large archive dataset of heavy metal concentration (Cu, Cr, Ni, Pb, Zn) for more than 900 surface sediment samples from various Korean coastal environments was newly compiled. These data were normalized for aluminum (grain-size normalizer) concentration to isolate natural factors from anthropogenic ones. The normalization was based on the hypothesis that heavy metal concentrations vary consistently with the concentration of aluminum, unless these metals are of anthropogenic origin. So, the samples (outliers) suspected of receivingany anthropogenic input were removed from regression to ascertain the "background" relationship between the metals and aluminum. Identification of these outliers was tested using a model of predicted limits at 95%. The process of testing for normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test) and selection of outliers was iterated until a normal distribution was achieved. On the basis of the linear regression analysis of the large archive (please check) dataset, background levels, which are applicable to heavy metal assessment of Korean coastal sediments, were successfully developed for Cu, Cr, Ni, Zn. As an example, we tested the applicability of this baseline level for metal pollution assessment of Masan Bay sediments.

자연형 IVB(Independent Visual Background)의 Simulator Sickness 감소효과 (Effects of Natural Independent Visual Background for Reducing Simulator Sickness)

  • Several studies indicated that an independent visual background (IVB) reduced simulator sickness (SS) and balance disturbance associated with exposure to virtual environments (VEs) and motion simulators. A recent study showed that an IVB comprised of an earth-fixed grid was less effective in a complex driving simulator than in a simple VE. Subjects' post-experiment reports indicated that the VE motion "induced" motion of the earth-fixed grid m. This led to the suggestion that an IVB comprised of clouds would be less subject to induced motion and therefore would alleviate nausea more effectively than a grid IVB. Clouds are "natural" and are usually perceived as relatively stable, whereas a grid has no inherent stability. 12 subjects were exposed to complex motion through a simulated environment in a driving simulator under 3 IVB conditions: grid, less clouds, many clouds. They reported less nausea when the many-cloud IVB was used relative to the grid IVB condition. grid IVB condition.

  • 게임의 게임성, 재미의 제공, 볼거리 및 배경그래픽 제공하고, 게임플레이의 활동 무대인 배경-맵과 배경그래픽 디자인을 구현하기 위해서는 게임 배경환경은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 게임 배경환경의 구성요소를 정의하고, 시대적 및 역사적인 환경요소, 자연적인 환경요소, 인공적인 환경요소, 문화적인 환경요소, 가상적인 환경요소를 문헌과 사료를 통하여 고찰 연구하였으며, 실제 게임 배경맵에 적용할 수 있는 배경그래픽의 환경디자인 모델을 제시한다.
