미국 국가환경교육법의 효과, 쟁점 및 시사점 (The National Environmental Education Act of the U.S.: Its Effects, Issues and Implications)

  • It is essential to develop legal and legislative devices like the National Environmental Act to conduct systematic and continuous environmental education. In many Countries including the Uinted States, Great Britain, Germany, and Australia, environmental education has been developing based on legal and legislative systems. Of those cases, the Uintes States made efforts to promote environmental education through legislation, which can have significant implications for us with intention to legislate the National Environmental Education Promotion Act. This study is focusing on our environmental education by studying the histiry and current situation of National Environmental Education Act, PL 91 516 of the United States and its features. In case of the United States, there has been several amendments and re-approvals. since the first National Environmental Education Act was legislated. The public hearing for the re-approval of National Environmental Education Act whIch was legislated in 1990 was held during the Summer of 2000. This gave us important reference data including the need of environmental education, its effects, and considering articles. As a result of the public hearing, 1990. National Environmental Education Act was recognized and some articles were amended. Its re-approved as John H Chafee Environmental Education Act of 2001, PL 107-S 876 IS Some implications and suggestions were drawn from the case study, which included the importance of related ministries, financial support, the role of Consulting Committee and Special Committee for environmental educators, environmental education program certification system.

과학교육 연구 자료의 정보 전산화 체제(I) - 분류체계 고안 - (Data base system for the information on science education research and development: (I) Device of classification system)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a data base system for the information on research and development of science education. As the first step of this study and development, a classification system for the research and development materials was devised after discussing the process of science education and the research and development of science education. The classification system has nine main categories : 1. area, 2. subject, 3. behavior, 4. skill, 5. support, 6. type, 7. materials, 8. language, and 9. the others, each of which has one or two levels of subcategory. This classification system was revised and supplemented through the theoretical analysis by speci.diSts and the practical classification of master's theses and doctoral dissertations from the Department of Science Education, Seoul National University. But it still needs more revision and enlargement through the continuous application and analysis.

  • 사회적인 요구와 어플리케이션에 대한 여러 긍정적인 교육 효과로 인해 어플리케이션 개발 교육을 위한 시도가 초 중등학교에서 이루어지고 있다. 블록형 어플리케이션 개발 도구가 개발되어 있지만 프로그래밍 환경과 운영체제의 국한, 기기 관리의 활용과 난이도의 문제로 초등학교 저 중학년 학생에게는 적합하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초등학교 중학년 학생들의 프로그래밍 의사소통 능력을 향상시키기 위한 페이퍼 프로토타입 기반의 어플리케이션 개발 교육 모델을 제안하려 한다.

초등 예비교사의 과학 교수에 대한 태도 조사 (A Survey on Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Attitudes towards Science Teaching)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service elementary teachers' attitudes towards science teaching using 'Dimensions of Attitude Toward the Teaching of Science (DAS)'. After confirming the factors and reliabilities of the translated questionnaire by pilot test (N=68), the survey was administered online at one national university of education in Korea (N=527). The pre-service teachers generally thought elementary science education is important and did not believe gender difference in students and in teachers. Science education majors than other majors, males than females, and those who completed high school science track than humanity track had more positive attitudes toward science teaching in elementary school. The extent of teacher education curriculum completion had a little effect on the pre-service teachers' attitudes toward science teaching. The implications for teacher education were discussed.

  • 급속도로 발전하고 있는 정보화 사회는 당면한 문제를 창의적인 방법으로 해결하는 능력을 갖춘 인재를 필요로 하고 있다. 허나 응용 소프트웨어 활용에 치우친 정보교육은 획일화된 컴퓨터 활용 능력을 갖추게 하고 있으며, 사고의 단순화를 초래하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학생 수준에서 일상생활의 문제를 컴퓨터 과학 원리와 접목시켜 학생들의 창의적 문제해결력을 신장시키기에 적합한 교재를 개발하고, 교재를 활용한 프로그램 운영을 통해 창의적인 인재를 양성하는데 기여하고자 한다.

Morphological and Phylogenetic Characteristics of Tuber himalayense Collected from Rhizosphere of Quercus dentata in Korea

  • We collected the ascomata of Tuber species from the rhizosphere of Quercus dentata in Danyang, Korea. We observed the morphological characteristics of ectomycorrhizal roots and ascomata, and identified the species based on the results of the phylogenetic analysis conducted using the DNA sequences of an internal transcribed spacer, a large-subunit rDNA, translation elongation factor 1-α DNA (TEF1), and MAT. Finally, we identified the fungal species as Tuber himalayense B.C. Zhang & Minter, which has not been recorded previously in Korea. We evaluated the morphological characteristics and conducted phylogenetic analysis of the ascoma and mycorrhiza (associated with Q. dentata) of T. himalayense.

Three Unrecorded Endophytic Fungal Species Isolated from Plants in Taean-gun, Korea

  • In the present study, we isolated endophytic fungi from different tissues of two plants, Pseudosasa japonica and Quercus serrata from Taean-gun, Korea. Morphological characteristics of the isolated fungal strains were observed. We identified the fungi based on the phylogenetic analysis using DNA sequences from the region of internal transcribed spacer, large subunit rDNA, β-tubulin, and translation elongation factor 1-α DNA. Three endophytic fungi that were not previously recorded in Korea, namely Geomyces asperulatus, Leptoxyphium fumago, and Tubakia oblongispora were identified. Here, we describe the morphological characteristics of these unrecorded fungi and present the results of the phylogenetic analysis.

영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램이 초등과학영재의 창의적 인성, 창의적 문제해결력 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of STEAM Education Program using Movies on the Creative Personality, Creative Problem-solving Ability and Scientific Attitude of Elementary Scientific Gifted)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등과학영재를 위하여 영화를 매개체로 하는 융합인재교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 교육현장에 적용하여 초등과학영재들의 창의적 문제해결력과 창의적 인성, 그리고 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였으며 그 연구 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램은 초등과학영재의 창의적 인성 향상에 효과적이었으며, 특히 인내/집착, 자기확신, 유머감, 호기심, 상상, 개방성, 모험심, 독립심 영역에 있어서 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램은 초등과학영재의 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 효과적이었으며, 특히 실험계획세우기, 창의적 문제해결력 영역에 있어서 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 영화를 활용한 융합인재교육 프로그램은 초등과학영재의 과학적 태도 향상에 효과적이었으며, 특히 호기심, 개방성, 비판성, 협동성, 자진성, 끈기성, 창의성 영역에 있어서 그 차이가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과로 볼 때, 영화를 활용한 융합인 재교육 프로그램은 초등학교 과학영재학생들의 창의적 인성, 창의적 문제해결력, 과학적 태도 향상에 효과적이라고 볼 수 있다.
