철의장품을 생산하는 조선기자재 산업체의 품질경영 시스템 분석 (Analysis of Quality Management Practices in Steel Outfit Firms of Korean Shipbuilding Industry)

  • We analyze the current quality management status for firms producing steel outfits of ships and develop an efficient QMS appropriate to Korean steel outfit industry. The firms recently obtained ISO 9000 certificates and are located in Pusan ${\cdot}$ Kyungnam district of Korea. The analysis is based on the audit results from ISO 9000 for seven steel outfit firms during last three years. We find out major requirements of ISO 9000 and investigate statistical relationship among major requirements, types of data, and groups of firms by using a statistical package, SAS. Recommendations regarding add-on requirements are suggested to install an efficient QMS in Korean steel outfit firms.

  • Red tide(harmful algae) in the Korean Coastal Waters has a given a great damage to the fishery every year. However, the aim of our study understands the influence of meteorological factors (air and water temperature, precipitation, sunshine, solar radiation, winds) relating to the mechanism of red tide occurrence and monitors red tide by satellite remote sensing, and analyzes the potential area for red tide occurrence by GIS. The meteorological factors have directly influenced on red tide formation. Thus, We want to predict and apply to red tide formation from statistical analyses on the relationships between red tide formation and meteorological factors. In future, it should be realized the near real time monitoring for red tide by the development of remote sensing technique and the construction of integrated model by the red tide information management system (the data base of red tide - meteorological informations). Finally our purpose is support to the prediction information for the possible red tide occurrence by coastal meteorological information and contribute to reduce the red tide disaster by the prediction technique for red tide.

  • Six Sigma emphasizes KPI and establishes the present level as well as the goal level through statistical calculation and tries to achieve management innovation through process improvement. But in the area of new product development or service, sufficient data for statistical measurement may not be secured. On the other side, looking for contradictions through problem analysis, TRIZ is a methodology that stresses the process of solving these problems. TRIZ also has its own problems: it is hard to define its initial task, to objectify the measurement of effect, and to optimize the drawn out idea. The purpose of this report is to give a comprehensive understanding about each methodology (Sigma Six and TRIZ) through its analysis, to confirm the need of linking both methodologies, and to suggest a model for this linking process. Also, they will be verified through examples, and the synergy effect will be discussed.

  • 평행좌표그림은 다변량자료를 시각화하는 하나의 방법이다. 평행좌표그림은 4차원 이상의 직각좌표계 표시의 어려움을 극복할 수 있는 그림이다. 그러나 변수 축의 배열에 따라 같은 자료에 대하여도 다른 해석이 가능하다. 변수 선택 문제를 해결하는 한 가지 방법으로서 우리는 정다각기둥평행좌표그림을 제안할 수 있다.

  • This paper introduces new measures for the stability of slope estimation on the second order response surface at a point and on a sphere. As a measure of point stability of slope estimation, we suggest a point dispersion measure of slope variances over all directions at a point. A spherical dispersion measure is also proposed as a measure of spherical stability of slope estimation on each sphere. Some designs are studied to explore the usefulness of the proposed measures. Using the point dispersion measure, another concept of slope rotatability called equally-stable slope rotatability is proposed as a useful property of response surface designs. We provide a set of conditions for a design to have equally-stable slope rotatability.

블랭크 홀딩력 조절을 통한 성형성 향상에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on formability improvement by adjusting blank holding force)

  • In sheet metal forming process, drawing is typical process. And the key factor of drawing is blank holding force (BHF) A low BHF can cause wrinkling, whereas a high BHF can cause fracture during a deep drawing process. Thus, formability can be influenced by application appropriate BHF. In this study, a variable blank holding force (VBHF) is applied to extend the forming limit by avoiding both wrinkling and fracture. To determine VBHF in drawing process, numerical simulations and statistical analysis are carried out using commercial FEM software.

전동차 제동장치의 고장데이터와 비용함수를 고려한 유지보수 정책에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Maintenance Policy Considering the Failure Data of the EMU Braking System and the Cost Function)

  • Railway vehicle equipment goes back again to the state just before when failure by the repair. In repairable system, we are interested in the failure interval. As such, a statistical model of the point process, NHPP power law is often used for the reliability analysis of a repairable system. In order to derive a quantitative reliability value of repairable system, we analyze the failure data of the air brake system of the train line 7. The quantitative value is the failure intensity function that was modified, converted into a cost-rate function. Finally we studied the optimal number and optimal interval in which the costs to a minimum consumption point as cost-rate function. The minimum cost point was 194,613 (won/day) during the total life cycle of the braking system, then the optimal interval were 2,251days and the number of optimal preventive maintenance were 7 times. Additionally, we were compared to the cost of a currently fixed interval(4Y) and the optimum interval then the optimal interval is 3,853(won/day) consuming smaller. In addition, judging from the total life, "fixed interval" is smaller than 1,157 days as "optimal interval".

이산화탄소-이소프로필 알코올계: 고압 상거동 및 SAFT 상태방정식 적용 (Carbon Dioxide-Isopropyl Alcohol System: High Pressure Phase Behavior and Application with SAFT Equation of State)

  • 본 연구에서는 고압하에서 이산화탄소와 이소프로필 알코올과의 이성분계에 대한 상평형데이터를 얻기 위해 실험을 수행하였다. 실험장치는 정지형 (static type)을 사용하였으며, 정확도를 실험하기 위해 $80^{\circ}C$에서 이산화탄소-이소프로필 알코올계의 실험을 수행하여 Radosz의 실험결과와 비교하였다. 이산화탄소-이소프로필 알코올과의 이성분계 상거동 실험은 온도 40, 60, 80, 100, 그리고 $120^{\circ}C$에서 실험하였으며, 이때 압력은 41~133 bar 범위였다. 이산화탄소-이소프로필 알코올계에 대해 동일한 압력에서 용해도는 온도가 증가함에 따라 증가함을 알 수 있다. 또한 순성분 이산화탄소와 이소프로필 알코올의 증기압을 서로 연결하는 혼합물 임계곡선을 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 실험한 결과를 statistical associating fluid theory (SAFT)상태방정식에 의해 계산하였으며, 그 결과 온도에 독립적인 두 파라미터에 의해 곡선을 결정하였다.

농업용 저수지 용수공급 모의 시스템의 개발 (Development of agricultural reservoir water supply simulation system)

  • The objective of this study was to develop agricultural reservoir water supply simulation system to assess water cycle of agricultural water district. Developed system was named as ARWS (Agricultural Reservoir Water supply simulation System). ARWS consists of platform and independent modules. In ARWS, reservoir inflow was calculated using Tank model, and agricultural water supply was calculated considering current farming period and mid-summer drainage. ARWS was applied to simulate water level of Gopung and Tapjung reservoir in 2011 - 2012. The results were compared to simulation results of HOMWRS and observed data. Average $R^2$, EI, RMSE of ARWS were 0.76, 0.46, 1.78 (m), average $R^2$, EI, RMSE of HOMRWS were 0.88, -0.14, 2.37 (m) respectively. Considering statistical variances, water level simulation results of ARWS were more similar to observed data than HOMWRS. ARWS can be useful to estimate reservoir water supply and assess hydrological processes of agricultural water district.

의미기반 인덱스 추출과 퍼지검색 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on Semantic Based Indexing and Fuzzy Relevance Model)

  • If there is an Information Retrieval system which comprehends the semantic content of documents and knows the preference of users. the system can search the information better on the Internet, or improve the IR performance. Therefore we propose the IR model which combines semantic based indexing and fuzzy relevance model. In addition to the statistical approach, we chose the semantic approach in indexing, lexical chains, because we assume it would improve the performance of the index term extraction. Furthermore, we combined the semantic based indexing with the fuzzy model, which finds out the exact relevance of the user preference and index terms. The proposed system works as follows: First, the presented system indexes documents by the efficient index term extraction method using lexical chains. And then, if a user tends to retrieve the information from the indexed document collection, the extended IR model calculates and ranks the relevance of user query. user preference and index terms by some metrics. When we experimented each module, semantic based indexing and extended fuzzy model. it gave noticeable results. The combination of these modules is expected to improve the information retrieval performance.
