능력중심의 사회가 도래함에 따라 사서직이 고숙련의 전문직으로 전문성강화를 하기 위하여 직무분석을 통하여 국립중앙도서관사서의 핵심직무를 도출하고, 전문사서의 유형을 개발하였다. 직무분석 결과 국립중앙도서관사서의 업무는 22개의 책무와 216개의 작업이며, 96개의 핵심업무로 구성되었다. 이를 체계적 교육과정개발을 위한 교육과정 우선순위 결정도구에 의하여 분석하고, 현장의 수요를 반영한 결과 기능별 10종, 이용대상별 2종을 제안하였다. 제안된 유형은 다음과 같다:장서개발전문사서, 분류 목록전문사서, 정보조사제공전문사서, 독서전문사서, 국제표준(ISO/TC, ISBN, ISSN, CIP)연구전문사서, DB전문가 및 시스템전문사서, 국내협력지원전문사서, 국제교류전문사서, 도서관마케팅전문사서, 교육설계전문사서, 어린이 전문사서, 장애인서비스 전문사서.

Half a century has passed since the academic field of library and information science, which was born at the end of the 19th Century in the Western world, was introduced to Korea. Despite years of quantitative growth and qualitative maturation, the field has been facing the inconvenient truths of discrepancies in education levels arising from varying education providers, and weakened public confidence in librarian certification. Based on analysis of librarian training and education programs and the certification system, this research seeks to point out the limitations of the national librarian certification system, which is losing public confidence, and present a model for improvement. Library and information science education has expanded from universities to the academy of librarian education and lifelong education centers, and the librarian certification system has emerged as a target of reform. This research presents measures to improve the librarian certification system to government bodies and the Committee on Library and Information Policy with the purpose of providing grounds for policy enforcement.

본 연구의 목적은 도서관 직원을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 근거로 사서교육프로그램 개편방안을 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 사서교육(참여율과 유용성, 교육 및 운영방식, 강의내용과 강사진, 국립사서교육원 설립 위치, 미래 핵심역량 등)의 현주소에 대한 인식도를 분석하고, 다양한 근거자료(교육훈련 법령, 정부정책, 국제교류 및 해외동향, 선행연구 등)를 입각하여 중장기 교육수요를 예측한 후에 이를 충족시키기 위한 가칭 '국립사서교육원' 설립 운영의 핵심 의제인 사서교육프로그램의 미래지향적 개편 모형을 제시하였다.

사서의 직무수행 전문성과 미래지향적 역량 개발을 위해 국가적 차원에서 다양한 교육 프로그램을 기획·운영하는 것은 중요하다. 본 연구는 사서 전문교육훈련기관의 교육 프로그램으로 사서학습공동체의 도입 가능성을 검토하고 적절한 운영 방법을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 내용과 방법으로 연구를 진행하였다 : 1) 관련 문헌 검토를 통해 사서학습공동체 개념, 운영 단계, 유형 등 학습공동체 운영에 관한 이론적 논의, 2) 시범 운영을 통한 사서학습공동체 운영 가능성 탐색 및 시사점 도출, 3) 사서학습공동체 운영 모델 및 지원 체계 제안. 본 연구는 시범 운영 과정에서 참여 관찰 및 참가자 의견수렴을 통해 사서학습공동체 운영 모델을 검토하여 시행 초기의 혼란을 최소화하고, 향후 프로그램의 성공적인 정착을 위한 운영 로드맵 및 지원체계를 함께 제시하였다. 향후 여러 해에 걸친 시행과 실증적 분석을 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 사서학습공동체 운영 모델을 더욱 정교하게 발전시킬 필요가 있다. 그렇지만 본 연구의 결과는 타분야 전문직 교육훈련을 위한 학습공동체의 초기 운영 모델로도 유용할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate awareness of librarian's job prospects, and to do this a survey was conducted with 502 college students in 14 Departments of Library and Information Science around Korea and 753 librarians in libraries and related agencies. The study results are as follows. First, satisfaction with educational curriculum was higher in students than librarians. Second, both students and librarians regarded workplace based practical training as employment requirements and also evaluated certifications and academic performance as important requirements. Third, both groups asked that information on employment rates be available in a timely manner, and perceived that the librarian's job prospects were not bright. Therefore, in order to improve employment of librarians, it will be necessary to establish a job information system, reorganize the current educational curriculum into a practice-oriented curriculum, and introduce the national curriculum statements (NCS)-based curriculum.

본 연구는 의학사서자격제도의 현황과 문제점을 조사하고, 의학사서의 자기효능감 및 자아존중감을 측정하였다. 의학사서 자격증을 취득한 응답자는 49.4%였고, 이들의 82.9%가 향후 재취득 의사가 있었다. 의학사서 자격증을 취득하지 않은 응답자는 대부분 자격점수를 충족하지 못한 상태였으며, 평가 항목 중에서, 출판활동 점수를 획득하는 것이 가장 어렵다고 하였다. 응답자의 자기효능감은 3.42점, 자아존중감은 3.89점이며, 여성이 남성보다 자기효능감과 자아존중감 모두 높고, 의학사서자격증을 취득한 응답자가 미취득 응답자보다 자신감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 의학사서자격제도는 현재까지 비교적 안정적으로 운영되어 왔으나, 앞으로 더욱 발전적으로 정비하고 국가자격제도로 발전시켜 의학사서의 전문성 제고에 실질적으로 기여해야 함을 제언하였다.

21세기 지식정보사회로의 발전과 변화에 대처하여 세계 각국의 도서관들은 다양한 전자적 매체를 이용한 협력형 온라인 지식정보 서비스 개발에 큰 힘을 쏟고 있다. 본 연구는 국내외 온라인 지식정보서비스를 대상으로 한 사례연구와 질의응답 실험을 통해 국립중앙도서관이 주도적으로 시범 운영하고 있는 <사서에게 물어보세요> 서비스의 활성화 및 고도화를 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 온라인 지식정보 서비스의 정의와 유형을 살피고, 국내외 사례를 분석하는 한편, 실질적 연구로서 KDC 대분류를 기준으로 한 30개의 즉답형 질문을 생성하여, 응답시간 및 방법을 비롯한 실제 서비스에 대한 종합적 실태조사를 실시한다. 결론으로 <사서에게 물어보세요> 서비스 발전을 위한 현재적 그리고 미래적 과제를 제시한다.

This article is a part of a doctoral research project on developing the faculty-librarian collaboration model to support learning and research at Vietnamese universities. The findings of this study have crucial significance in drawing a broader view of the importance of faculty-librarian collaboration and the roles of such collaborators at Vietnamese universities. Qualitative methodology was used to formulate related topics and achieve these research objectives. Semi-structured interviews were carried out at four universities in Vietnam with three key informants, including the faculty, librarian, and administrators (dean/vice dean of faculty, director/deputy director of the library). From March to April 2019, researchers conducted 29 interviews with three participant groups. The striking results of this research showed that the faculty and librarians realized the significance of a collaborative relationship and expect that Vietnamese universities will design and deploy a model to boost the effectiveness of this collaboration. Besides this, the study found that the collaborators play certain important roles within the collaborative relationship, for instance, that of reference, coordinator, special lecturer, cooperator, and information user.

본 연구에서는 사서교육훈련의 중장기적 발전방안을 마련하기 위해 도서관 대내외적 환경변화와 인적자원개발(HRD) 트렌드를 반영한 사서교육훈련의 비전 및 목표를 설계하고자 하였다. 사서교육훈련의 비전 및 목표 설계를 위해 사서교육훈련 필요성, 목표, 사명, 역할 등의 재정립, 사서교육훈련의 비전과 목표 실현을 위한 추진전략 모색 도서관 미래 인재 양성을 위한 핵심역량 및 국가직무능력표준(NCS) 기반 교육운영 가이드라인 개발을 위한 세부추진계획 등을 마련하였다. 먼저, 국내외 선행연구 및 문헌을 분석하였을 때, 미래 사서는 첫째, 창의융합형 인재, 둘째, 소통협력형 인재, 셋째, 선도전문형 인재, 넷째, 공감포용형 인재 등이 포괄된 역량을 갖춘 인재상을 기반으로 교육훈련을 수립해야 할 것으로 파악되었다. 도서관 미래 인재상 및 핵심역량에 따른 교육과정은 다음과 같은 프로세스 모형으로 제시하여야 하며, 창의융합형 인재, 소통협력형 인재, 선도전문형 인재, 공감포용형 인재상별 사서역량을 도출하고, 사서역량에 따른 직무능력을 설정하여 직무능력 향상을 위한 교육과정을 설계하는 방향으로 교육 방향을 설정해야 할 것으로 파악하였다.

본 연구는 국내 유일의 사서교육훈련기관인 국립중앙도서관 사서연수교육업무의 운영 실태를 조사 분석하여, 전국의 현장수요에 부응할 수 있도록 미래지향적인 사서교육훈련시스템의 합리적인 발전방안을 강구하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 교육훈련 참여자 2,044명에 대한 설문조사와 관계자 면담, 자체 운영평가 등을 기초로, 사서직 공무원의 교육훈련과정의 문제점 및 개선방안을 검토하였고, 그 해결방안으로는 교육훈련 전담조직의 개편, 교수요원의 양성, 교육훈련예산의 증액, 사이버 교육운영의 활성화, 평가시스템의 조정 등의 발전방안을 제시하였다. 또한 사서교육훈련 교육체제 발전방안의 일환으로 현재 건립 중인 국립세종도서관의 책무로서 사서교육훈련 업무를 분담 운영케 하는 방안을 검토하여 보았다.
