닻을 운용한 선체운동 제어 (A Study on the Control of Ship Motion using the Anchor Dredging)

  • Ship operators are used to dredge anchor for the collision avoidance or safety of ship handling in a harbour or narrow channel. This paper clarifies the technique using tile anchor dredging known as a common sense for the seafarers. A mathematical model at low speed range has been established for the estimation of ship motion under the assumed environment , simulate the advance speed , and turning ability under the anchor dredging or not. The results shows good agreement with the conventional seamanship and their experiences as follows. Ahead speed used the anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:40%) than the normal ahead speed and the stopping distance is shorter (distance reduction ratio:40%)than the normal ahead distance without the anchor dredging. Turning speed used anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:72%)than the normal ahead speed and the tactical diameter is shorter(distance reduction ratio:24%)than the diameter by the normal turning without the anchor dredging.

광결합 변화에 의해 부모드 억제된 협대역 수직 결합기 파장 여과기 (Coupling variation induced side-lobe suppressed narrowband vertical coupler wavelength filter)

  • 수직결합 구조의 방향성결합기 파장여과기에 진행방향으로 광결합력의 변화를 도입으로서 부엽이 감소하고 동시에 통과대역폭이 감소하는 새로운 구조의 파장여과기를 제안하였다. 광결합 구조로서는 결합정도가 반정현 모양인 분포결합과 최소의 결합을 일정하게 유지하는 느린결합을 연계하여 사용하였다. 모의실험 결과 중심파장 1.5507$\mu\textrm{m}$에서 3 dB 통과대역폭은 약 1.5 nm이고 부엽 억제비는 20 dB이상으로서 기존의 일정한 결합구조의 파장여과기에 비해 2배 이상 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 파장역다중을 위해 두 개의 파장여과기를 단일집적한 2채널 역다중기를 제안하고 동작특성을 모의실험하였다.

간극에서의 역방향 유동 제한 현상 연구 (Counter-Current Flow Limit in Narrow Gap)

  • Previous counter-current flow limitation (CCFL) and critical heat flux (CHF) studies included investigations on the inlet entrance, inclined channel and gap effects for the most part. In this study, the local CHF correlation was presented to be used in the numerical analysis for the 3 dimensional hemispherical geometry. Also, first-principle analyses were performed to determine the maximum heat removal capability from the debris through the gap that may be formed during a core melt accident. The maximum heat removal capability by gap cooling can be applied in quantitatively assessing the severe accident management measures.

  • 본 논문은 DS-SS 이동 통신 시스템에서 복합 다계층 퍼셉트론 신경망을 이용한 간섭 신호 제어로써 직접순차 확산 스펙트럼의 협대역 간섭 신호를 역전파 학습 알고리즘을 이용하여 억압하고, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 동일 채널 간섭과 협대역 간섭의 실제 톤(Tone)에서 빠른 수렴 비율과 더 좋은 성능을 가지는 복소수 역전파 알고리즘으로부터 제안된 새로운 복합 (CBPRLS)알고리즘은 기존의 RAKE 수신기보다 더 낮은 비트 에러 율을 가지는 NNAC(Neural Network Adaptive Correlator)를 통해 간섭 신호가 보다 효율적으로 제어됨을 분석 고찰한다.

TDMA jammer suppression on CDMA overlay

  • The effect of inband TDMA narrow band jammers to DS-CDMA system performance and the suppression techniques are investigated using Monte Carlo simulations. TIA stantard North American Digital Cellular wea used as jammer. Levinson Dubin and conventional recursive least square algorithm were emphasized since these techniques can be implemented with a few DSPs for CDMA application. Two filter structures, i.e., complex suppression filter and real suppression filter in each inphase and quadrature channels, are investigated and their performances are compared. Complex suppression filter with Levinson Durbin algorithm of 20msec updata rate is the most promising with respect to implementation and performance poit of view. Implementation feasibility is discussed and the channel capacity lost by suppression is computed.

  • Assessment of the safety of ship's transit in the narrow channel consist of the maneuvering safety determined by the chance of running aground, the maneuvering difficulty determined by ship's workload and master's subjective evaluation. To examine the relation between master's subjective evaluation and maneuvering safety, this utilizes a real-time and full-mission shiphandling simulator in the Korea Marine Training & Research Institutes(KMTRI). The vessel chosen was 60,000-ton, Panamax-type ship. The findings regarding master's subjective evaluation were as follows: -Relation between master's subjective evaluation and common logarithms of stranding probability is linear. -Stranding probability with more than 0.001 is master's subjective evaluation with more than 5.

  • 본 논문은 신경망을 이용한 간섭 신호 제어로써 합성 다층 퍼셉트론에 입각하여 셀룰라 이동 통신에서의 수신된 신호들을 역전파 학습알고리즘을 이용하여 검파하는 것에 대하여 소개하였다. 그리고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 공동 간섭과 협대역 간섭의 실제 음색에서 기존에 쓰여진 레이크 수신기보다 더 낮은 비트 오차 확률을 가지는 NNAC(neural network adaptive correlator)에 대하여 분석 하였다.

  • In digital video recording, higher areal density is strongly required for realizing digital VCRs. In order to accomplish higher areal density. we have implemented a system that has a narrow track pitch and can record data of about 30 Mbps(15 Mbps per channel) with the conventional S-VHS tapes. After computer simulation using the characteristics of the experimental system, we have selected appropriate equalizer and detection method by taking into account performance and cost (including hardware complexity). As a result, the selected equalizer and detection schemes are cosine equalizer and integrated de tection, respectively. The implemented system confirms reliable operation with a symbol error rate of less than $1{\times}10^{-4}$. In this paper, We will show the performance of the implemented system together with simulation results.

광위상배열 기반 LADAR의 초기 위상 제어 기법 연구: 언덕 오름 기반 접근법 (On the Control of Initial Phases in Optical Phased Array Based LADAR Systems: Hill-Climbing Based Approach)

  • Recently, optical phased array(OPA) based laser detection and ranging(LADAR) has gained great interest to replace the traditional mechanical light detection and ranging technique(LiDAR). In OPA-based LADAR, it is well known that phases of laser pulses traveling through each of channels should be the same to obtain a narrow free-space single beam without noise-like ripples in the far field. However, it is difficult to provide such ideal condition due to the fabrication errors. To tackle this problem, any algorithms should be necessary to compensate the initial random phases of each channel in OPA antenna. In this paper, we propose a hill-climbing based phase calibration algorithm and evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
