현대 패션에 나타난 일본풍 에스닉 룩의 색채 특성 -2004년 S/S부터 2008년 F/W까지- (A Study on the Color Characteristics of Japanese Ethnic Look in Contemporary Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study was to comparatively analyze the color characteristics of the Japanese ethnic look advanced by Japanese and western designers in comparison with the actual traditional colors of Japan. The data determining the traditional colors of Japan was collected through a critical apparatus examination of 250 colors and the color data of what determines Japanese ethnic look was collected through an analysis of the clothing appearing in four fashion collections -Paris, Milan, London, and New York- from the 2004 S/S collections to the 2008 F/W collections. For the analysis of these colors, Photoshop was used with an RGB value measuring under 300dpi resolutions. The RGB values were then converted to H V/C values through Munsell Conversion 8.0.3, and they were analyzed using Munsell's 40 Hue and PCCS. The results of this study are as follows: Japanese designers are expressing their own aesthetic theory by designing fashions in traditionally Japanese hues. However, neutral colors and low-chroma tones appear more often than traditional colors. This study illustrates how these designers use color to reflect their inside ideals being oversensitive traditonal ideals. In contrast, western designers reflect more contemporary trends through the use of hues that more clearly reveal their preconception of the colors of the Orient rather than actual traditional Japanese colors. Moreover, these foreign designers tend to approach fashion design by the means of shape rather than color. Japanese designers systematically analyze and apply their own culture to contemporary fashion design. Their efforts serve as a good reference model for research on traditional culture and fashion design.

새로운 천연염재로서 메타쉐콰이어 열매의 활용(2) : 견섬유의 염색성과 항균성을 중심으로 (Utilization of Metasequoia(Metasequoia glyptostroboides) Cone as a New Natural Dye Resource(2): Dyeing Properties and Antimicrobial Functionality of Silk Fiber)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility utilizing Metasequoia(Metasequoia glyptostroboides) cone as a new natural dye resource. In previous study, dyeing onto cotton fiber was carried out and Metasequoia cone colorant showed low affinity to cotton fiber and maximum dye uptake was obtained at pH 3.5 showing YR Munsell color. For further evaluation of its efficacy as a new natural dye resource, effects of dyeing conditions and mordanting on dye uptake, color change, and colorfastness were investigated for silk fiber. Metasequoia cone colorant showed good affinity toward silk fiber showing YR Munsell color and maximum dye uptake was shown at pH 3.5. Post-mordanting with Cu and Fe improved dye uptake, especially Fe($C_5H_{10}FeO_6$) mordant was effective as much as 2 times higher dye uptake comparing with un-mordanted sample. The color of dyed fabrics with mordanting showed YR Munsell color. Fe mordanted fabrics appeared dark gray~black color. Colorfastness to washing was relatively good, whereas lightfastness of the dyed fabrics showed grade 2. It was confirmed that Metasequoia cone colorant can be used as a new dye resource for silk fiber getting brownish yellow to dark gray/black color depending on mordant type. In addition, it showed antimicrobial functionality.

유사 분광반사율 모집단별로 구성된 주성분 집합을 이용한 개선된 분광반사율 추정 (Improved Spectral-reflectance(SR) Estimation Using Set of Principle Components Separately Organized for Each SR Population with Similar SRs)

  • 본 논문에서는 3대역 RGB카메라를 이용하여 분광 반사율을 추정할 때 추정오차를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 색상의 영역별로 적응적인 주성분 집합을 구성함으로써 추정오차를 줄였다. 이때 적응적인 주성분 집합을 구성하기 위하여 Lloyd양자화기 설계 알고리즘을 적용하여 N개의 주성분 집합을 구성하기 위한 분광반사율 모집단을 구성하였다. 전체 모집단으로 사용한 1485 Munsell 색시료의 대표값을 찾아내기 위해서, 초기값으로 Macbeth Color Checker를 사용하였으며 Lloyd 알고리즘의 반복 적용으로 분광 반사율 모집단 전체를 영역별로 분류하고 각 영역에 대하여 주성분 분석을 통해 적응적인 주성분 집합을 구성하였다. 실험 결과, 제안한 방법은 색차 및 분광 반사율에 대한 평균자승오차가 기존의 두 가지의 3대역 주성분 분석 방법 및 5대역 위너 추정을 이용한 분광 반사율 추정 방법보다 개선됨을 확인하였다.

달성광산 산성광산배수 침전물에 대한 As, Cu, Cd 흡착 특성 연구 (Adsorption Characteristics of As, Cu, and Cd Using Precipitates from Dalseong Mine)

  • 달성광산 주변 하천에서 채취한 시료를 이용하여 중금속 흡착 특성 평가를 수행하였다. 수용액 내에 존재하는 As, Cu, Cd를 대상으로 산성광산배수 침전물을 이용하여 중금속 제거 실험을 수행하였다. 중금속 흡착 물질의 주 구성광물은 황갈색(Munsell color 8.75YR 5/10)의 schwertmannite와 흑갈색의 (Munsell color 2.5YR 3/8) 침철석이다. 흡착 물질에 의한 흡착 제거 효율과 흡착량은 수용액 내의 중금속의 초기 농도와 흡착물질의 특성에 의해 좌우된다. 달성광산에서 채취한 침전물에 의한 중금속 흡착 효율은 As > Cu > Cd 순으로 나타낼 수 있다. 저농도일 때 침전물에 의한 흡착 제거 효율은 As 67.00-85.00%, Cd 26.24-29.08%, Cu 7.67-12.82% 정도이다. Cu의 초기 농도가 1 mg/L와 10 mg/L일 때, 흡착 물질이 schwertmannite인 경우 흡착량은 0.29와 1.29 mg/g이며, 침철석인 경우 0.24-1.97 mg/g으로 초기 농도가 높거나 흡착 물질이 침철석인 경우 흡착량이 더 높게 나타난다.

모발의 탈색 및 손상에 미치는 천연 식물 트리트먼트제의 영향 (Effects of Natural Vegetable Treatment Agent on the Bleaching and Damage of Human Hair)

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of natural vegetable treatment agent on the bleaching and damage of human hair during permanent wave formation. The vegetable treatment agent was prepared by fermenting the mixture of tea leaves (10g), black rice (100g), black bean (100g), corn (100g), malt (50g), and water(500g) at room temperature for 1 week. The degree of bleaching and damage was checked by Munsell value 'L' and morphological changes of hair in FE-SEM. When the hair was bleached, the Munsell value 'L' was almost same regardless of adding the vegetable treatment to the bleaching solution. But when the hair was permanently waved, the curl formation ability was high and the damage was low in the case of adding the vegetable treatment. This means that the vegetable treatment covers the scale of hair and protects the hair from the chemicals.

쪽과 홍화를 이용한 색상배합 염색 (Color-matching of Fabrics by Natural Dyeing using Indigo and Safflower)

  • To get the variety of color by natural dyeing, cotton and silk fabrics were dyed with natural indigo and safflower in turn. The two ways of dyeing processes were carried. First, silk and cotton fabrics were dyed repeatedly in safflower dyebath to five times to get the five fabrics dyed in different shades. And then indigo dyeing process was carried on the top of the dyed fabrics with safflower. In second way, the fabrics were dyed in five stages of shade by repetition of dyeing process in indigo dyebath. And then safflower dyeing was carried on the top of the dyed fabrics with indigo. When indigo dyeing process was added on the top of the fabrics dyed in five shades with safflower, the color differences decreased between five shades of fabrics, their color values got similar in hue, shade and chroma. When safflower dyeing process was added on the top of the fabrics dyed in five shades with indigo, the fabrics showed different hue of colors between red and blue of Munsell color circle such as RP, P and PB. Like almost of fabrics dyed with plants materials, the lightfastness and laundering fastness of dyed samples were poet and drycleaning fastness were good.

RS 기법을 이용한 토양수분과 토양 색에 관련된 토양의 분광반사 (Spectral Reflectance of Soils Related to the Interaction of Soil Moisture and Soil Color Using Remote Sensing Technology)

  • Recent advances in remote sensing techniques provide the potential for monitoring soil color as well as soil moisture conditions at the spatial and temporal scales required for detailed local modeling efforts. Soil moisture as well as soil color is a key feature used in the identification and classification of soils. Soil spectral reflectance has a direct relationship with soil color, as well as to other parameters such as soil moisture, soil texture. and organic matter. We evaluate the influence of seven soil properties, soil color and soil moisture, on soil spectral reflectance. This paper presents the results obtained from the ground-truth spectral reflectance measurements in the 300-1100 nm wavelength range for various land surfaces. The results suggest that the reflectance properties of soils are related to soil color, soil texture, and soil moisture. Increasing soil moisture content generally decreases soil reflectance which leads to parallel curves of soil reflectance spectra across the entire shortwave spectrum. We discuss the relationships between the soil reflectance and the Munsell Soil Color Charts which contain standard color chips with colors specified by designations for hue, value, and chroma.

철도차량 전두부의 디자인 트렌드에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Trend of Train Nose)

  • 철도차량 전두부의 디자인 트렌드는 사회문화와 철도차량의 상관관계를 통해서 발전되어져 왔다. 철도선진국(영국, 독일, 프랑스, 일본, 한국)의 사회문화와 철도차량의 변천에 따라서 1800년대부터 2008년까지 여섯 개의 시기로 구분하였다. 첫째, 철도차량 전두부의 이미지 스케일, 먼셀 색상환, 디자인 포지셔닝 상에서 디자인 변화를 확인하였다. 둘째, 사회문화를 통한 철도차량 전두부의 디자인 트렌드를 분석하였다. 끝으로 각 국가의 철도차량 전두부의 디자인 트렌드에 관한 연구를 하였다. 그 결과 철도차량 전두부의 디자인 트렌드는 점차적으로 구조적, 실용적, 대중적, 인본위적, 환경친화적, 최첨단의 디자인 트렌드를 보여주고 있다.

천연 쑥과 쪽을 이용한 단백질 섬유의 녹색 염색 (Dyeing Protein Fiber to Green Color Using Natural Mugwort and Indigo)

  • We need to diversify the colors by natural dyeing for promotion and extention of the natural dyes market, because natural dyestuffs have the limitation the number of the colors to express, compare to synthetic dyestuffs. It was investigated that wool and silk fabrics could be dyed to green colors using natural mugwort and indigo as one of color diversification, in order to express green color that is difficult to be shown by natural dyeing. The mugwort dyebath was prepared to concentration of $25{\sim}100g/l$ using dried mugwort plant and indigo dyebath was prepared to concentration of $5{\sim}20g/l$ using natural indigo powder. Wool fabrics and silk fabrics were dyed to green(GY, G, BG in Munsell color wheel) by two batch methods using the mugwort and indigo dyebaths. the mugwort dyeing was applied at $80^{\circ}C$ for 20minutes and indigo dyeing applied for $5{\sim}7$ minutes in room temperature. The colorfastness to drycleaning and abrasion of the dyed fabrics were shown good as grade 4-5 or 5.
