A state-of-the-art report on the new finite elements formulated by the addition of nonconforming displacement modes has been presented. The development of a series improved nonconforming finite elements for the analysis of plate and shell structures is described in the first part of this paper. These new plate and shell finite elements are established by the combined use of different improvement schemes such as; the addition of nonconforming modes, the reduced (or selective) integration, and the construction of the substitute shear strain fields. The improvement achieved may be attributable to the fact that the merits of these improvement techniques are merged into the formation of the new elements in a complementary manner. It is shown that the results obtained by the new elements give significantly improved solutions without any serious defects such as; the shear locking, spurious zero energy mode for the linear as well as nonlinear benchmark problems. Recent developments in the transition elements that have a variable number of mid-side nodes and can be effectively used in the adaptive mesh refinement are presented in the second part. Finally, the nonconforming transition flat shell elements with drilling degrees of freedom are also presented.

The overall performance and local flow fields of the fan, heat sink, and fan-sink were experimentally and numerically studied to investigate the flow characteristics of a fan-sink. The flow resistance of the heat sink was measured by small fan tester based on AMCA standards and compared with the CFD results to select available cooling fan for the fan-sink. The nonuniform velocity profile behind the fan outlet was shown by the flow visualization. The effects of nonuniform velocities on the performance of heat sink were discussed. To validate the commercial CFD code CFX-5.6, the predicted performance curve was compared with that of fan testing. The local flow fields of the fan-sink were analyzed by CFD results. MFR (multiple frame of reference) was used as a computational model combining rotating fan and stationary heat sink. Through the CFD results of the fan-sink, the flow patterns behind the fan outlet influenced the flow resistance and overall performance of the heat sink.

In this paper, a new gray scale expression method that divides the scan lines into multiple blocks is suggested. The proposed method can drive 16 sub-fields per 1 TV field in the panel with XGA ($1366{\times}768$) resolution. The on and off states of even subfields depend on the condition of odd subfields. The write address mode is used in the odd subfields, while the erase address mode is used in the even subfields. Because the ramp reset pulse is applied every 2 sub-fields, both the contrast ratio and the dynamic voltage margin are sufficiently obtained in comparison with previous AWD (Address While Display) methods. In realizing 16 subfields, shortening the scan time in the erase address period was important. The X bias voltage in the erase address period affected the minimum address voltage but did not the delay time of the address discharge. The delay time of the address discharge was affected by the address voltage and the time interval between the last sustain discharge and the scanning time. We also evaluated the dynamic false contour. New method shows an improved image quality in horizontal moving, but discontinuous lines were observed at the boundaries of each block in vertical moving
As regulations governing the control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) have become increasingly stringent in China, regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs) have been more frequently applied in medium- and high-concentration VOCs treatments. However, due to the lack of existing RTO-related research, experience remains a dominant factor for industrial application. This paper thus aimed to establish a model for industrial RTOs, using a transient simulation method and thermal equilibrium model to simulate the internal velocities and temperature distributions of an RTO across multiple cycles. A comparison showed an error of less than 5% between most correlating simulated and experimental measurement points, verifying that the simulation method was accurate. After verification, the velocity and temperature fields inside the RTO were simulated to study the uniformity of temperature and velocity within the packed beds: both fields displayed high uniformity after gas flowed through the honeycomb regenerator. The effects of air volume, VOCs concentrations, and valve switching times on the oxidation chamber temperature, RTO outlet temperature, and thermal efficiency (as well as their averages) were studied. The VOCs removal rate in this study was constantly above 98%, and the average thermal efficiency reached 90%.

Human behavior recognition using an accelerometer has been applied to various fields. As smartphones have become used commonly, a method for human behavior recognition using the acceleration sensor built into the smartphone is being studied. In the case of the elderly, falling often leads to serious injuries, and falls are one of the major causes of accidents at construction fields. In this article, we proposed recognition method for human falling direction using built-in acceleration sensor and orientation sensor in the smartphone. In the past, it was a common method to use the magnitude of the acceleration vector to recognize human behavior. These days, deep learning has been actively studied and applied to various areas. In this article, we propose a method for recognizing the direction of human falling by applying the deep learning multilayer technique, which has been widely used recently.

Recent cloud, big data, there is a problem for the architectural security vulnerability to the server platforms of various fields such as artificial intelligence occurs consistently, but using the virtualization technology. In addition, most secure virtualization technology is known to be dependent on the type is limited and the platform provider. This paper presents a method for mutual authentication for secure data between multiple instances of a shared virtualized environment. The proposed method was designing a security architecture in consideration of the mutual authentication between multiple independent instances, and enhance the safety of a security protocol for sharing data by applying a key chain techniques. Performance analysis results and the existing security architecture demonstrated that protect each virtualized instances of the session and the other way, a compliance effectiveness for each instance of the mutual authentication process.
In the latest date, medical body area networks (MBANs) are emerging as a new technology for diagnosis the human body. MBANs in the health care fields are based on short-range and low-power (e.g. ubiquitous computing) among small-sized devices, and have been used by means of medical services. In this paper, we proposed an emergency message transmission protocol using carrier sense multiple access/time division multiple access in MBANs. This scheme focuses on dependability and power-efficiency. In order to increase the reliability of the transmission, this scheme modified a MCTA slot of IEEE 802.15.3 standard to a SR-MCTA slot. SR-MCTA slot is assigned by MBAN coordinator according to requesting terminal nodes. The method, having the priority of transmission, occurs a collision packet randomly. Results from this proposed solution revel that reservation-based TDMA medical body area network(MBAN) protocol for transmitting emergency message was improved in terms of transmission delay.

Multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) technique is used in many communication fields in order to increase the channel capacity. However, this MIMO system has difficulty of miniaturization of antenna size due to the multiple RF chains Also, multiple RF chain raises some problems which increase power consumption at RF circuit and degrade the system performance due to the interference between RF chains. Because of these reasons, beamspace MIMO (BS-MIMO) technique with only single RF chain was proposed for MIMO transmission. This BS-MIMO system basically uses electronically steerable parasitic array radiator (ESPAR) antenna. Existing ESPAR antenna has a 5-element structure. So, it is possible to do only $3{\times}3$ MIMO transmission. Therefore, in order to extend BS-MIMO dimension, extension of ESPAR antenna structure is essential. In this paper, we show that BS-MIMO dimension can be increased according to the extension of structure of the ESPAR antenna, as in the conventional MIMO techniques. For example, we show that it is possible to design the $7{\times}7$ BS-MIMO transmissions with the 13-element ESPAR antenna. Also, when the number of parasitic elements of ESPAR antenna increases by two elements, MIMO dimension is expanded by 1.
Finding an optimal solution in MADN[(Multi-Attribute Decision-Making) problems is difficult, when the number of alternatives, or that of attributes is relatively large Most of the existing mathematical approaches arrive at a final solution on the basis of many unrealistic assumptions, without reflecting the decision-maker's preference structure exactly. In this paper we suggest a model that helps us find a group consensus without assessing these parameters in specific cardinal values. Therefore, This research provides a comprehensive Decision Making of the theory and methods applicable to the analysis of decisions that involve risk and multiple criteria attributes. after, The emphasis of the procedure will be on developments from the fields of decisions analysis and utility theory of Taguchi Method. This theoretical development will be illustrated through the discussion of several real-world application and a case study. When the multiple number of decision makers are involved in the decision making procedure, the problem of uncertainties invariably occurs, because of the different views between them. In this paper, New decision making model using Taguchi Method is applied to effectively model the multi-attribute-decision making(MADM) procedure in the uncertainties dominated two area(quantitative and qualitative factors), Quantitative factors evaluation is used Loss Function of Taguchi, qualitative factors evaluation is used 50 ratio by each specialist. thus it can be used for aiding of preferable alternative. as a result, We will be proved efficiency about New decision making model of applied Taguchi Method with Analytical presentation of all the expecting outcomes when a specific strategy or an alternative plan is selected under expecting future environment.

Recently, virtual reality (VR) has been actively used in various fields such as education, healthcare, entertainment, and training by providing immersive experiences. To operate multiple VR content programs without assistants and improve training efficiency, remote control of VR content programs within HMDs is necessary. In this paper, we develop management app for remotely controlling and monitoring multiple HMDs. First, we develop a function for HMD devices to connect to the management app. Second, we develop a function for simultaneously controlling HMD devices. Finally, we develop a function for monitoring HMD devices. In order to verify the developed functions, we measured the simultaneous control time and monitoring time. The measurement results showed that control took an average of 0.15 seconds and monitoring took an average of 0.81 seconds.
