An existing plasticity model using multiple failure criteria is modified to describe the behavior of reinforced concrete planar members under cyclic load. Multiple failure criteria are used to define both isotropic damage of compressive crushing and anisotropic damage of tensile cracking. A numerical method is developed to define multi-directional and non-orthogonal crack directions. The material model is implemented in the finite element analysis and verified by comparison with existing experiments of reinforced concrete shear wall.

This paper presents a more efficient evaluation of alternatives by use of multi-criteria decision making methodlogy under fuzzy intersectional dependence relations. The performance evaluation of most systems such as weapons, enterprise systems etc. are multiple criteria decision making problems. The descriptions and judgements on these systems are usually linguistic and fuzzy. The traditional methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) are mainly used in crisp(non-fuzzy) decision applications with a very unbalanced scale of judgements and rank reversal. To overcome these problems, we will propose a new, general decision making method for evaluation models using fuzzy AHP(FAHP) under fuzzy intersectional dependence relations. The T.M.S alternatives A, B and C will be evaluted by the Fuzzy Analytic Hierachy Process (FAHP) based on entropy weight in this study. We will use symmetric triangular fuzzy numbers to indicate the relative strength of the elements in the hierachy and degree of intersection between criteria. These problems are evaluated by five criteria : tactical criteria, technology criteria, maintenance criteria, economy criteria, advacement criteria.

The ROC analysis is considered for multiple class diagnosis. There exist many criteria to find optimal thresholds and measure the accuracy of diagnostic tests for k dimensional ROC analysis. In this paper, we proposed a diagnostic accuracy measure called the correct classification simple rate, which is defined as the summation of true rates for each classification distribution and expressed as a function of summation of sequential true rates for two consecutive distributions. This measure does not weight accuracy across categories by the category prevalence and is comparable across populations for multiple class diagnosis. It is found that this accuracy measure does not only have a relationship with Kolmogorov - Smirnov statistics, but also can be represented as a linear function of some optimal threshold criteria. With these facts, the suggested measure could be applied to test for comparing multiple distributions.
Multiple tuned mass dampers (MTMDs) tuned to various frequencies have been shown to efficiently control the seismic response of structures where multiple modes are dominant. One example is irregular structures that are found more vulnerable than their symmetric counterparts. With the technology of MTMDs available, design and optimal design methodologies are required for application. Such a methodology, in the form of an analysis/redesign (A/R) scheme, has been previously presented by the authors while limiting responses of interest to allowable values, i.e., performance-based design (PBD). In this paper, the A/R procedure is modified based on formal optimality criteria, making it more cost efficient, as well as more computationally efficient. It is shown that by using the methodology presented herein, a desired performance level is successfully targeted by adding near-optimal amounts of mass at various locations and tuning the TMDs to dampen several of the structure's frequencies. This is done using analysis tools only.
This paper presents a two-phase quantitative framework to aid the decision making process for effective selection of an efficient freight logistics hub from 8 alternatives in Thailand on the North-South economic corridor. Phase 1 employs both multiple regression and Pearson Feature selection to find the important criteria, as defined by logistics hub score, and to reduce number of criteria by eliminating the less important criteria. The result of Pearson Feature selection indicated that only 5 of 15 criteria affected the logistics hub score. Moreover, Genetic Algorithm (GA) was constructed from original 15 criteria data set to find the relationship between logistics criteria and freight logistics hub score. As a result, the statistical tools are provided the same 5 important criteria, affecting logistics hub score from GA, and data mining tool. Phase 2 performs the fuzzy stochastic AHP analysis with the five important criteria. This approach could help to gain insight into how the imprecision in judgment ratios may affect their alternatives toward the best solution and how the best alternative may be identified with certain confidence. The main objective of the paper is to find the best alternative for selecting freight logistics hub under proper criteria. The experimental results show that by using this approach, Chiang Mai province is the best place with the confidence interval 95%.

Dispatching rule plays an important role in a hybrid flow shop. Finding the appropriate dispatching rule becomes more challenging when there are multiple criteria, uncertain demands, and dynamic manufacturing environment. Using a single dispatching rule for the whole shop or a set of rules based on a single criterion is not sufficient. Therefore, a multi-criteria decision making technique using 'the order preference by similarity to ideal solution' (TOPSIS) and 'analytic hierarchy process' (AHP) is presented. The proposed technique is aimed to find the most suitable set of dispatching rules under different manufacturing scenarios. A simulation based case study on a PCB manufacturing process is presented to illustrate the procedure and effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
The paper review of the methods used to present in a quantitative way of risk to the public in the vicinity of hazardous operation within urban area. The study concentrated on the calculation, presentation and interpretation of societal risk where multiple concerned population at large. It is also compared the way to use of risk criterias in various countries where the different population density concerned. It is recommended societal risk criteria need to be vastly apply to the exposed population.

Many of statistical experimental designs have multiple goals. It is often impractical to use the single-objective criterion for this purpose. It is necessary to modify the existing optimum experimental design criteria. There exist three criteria handling this problem in general: compound, constrained, maxi-min approach. This paper extends Kahng and Kim's idea to develop another approach to incorporate several experimental design criteria in accordance of their importance in practical way. Furthermore this paper investigate its relationship with the maxi-min approach. It shows logically that the often realized infeasibility can be still avoided with the rank of importance of the objectives intact.

Multipath routing protocols with unmanned aerial vehicles have been proposed to improve reliability in tactical ad hoc networks. Most of existing studies tend to establish the paths with multiple metrics. However, these approaches suffer from link loss and congestion problems according to the network condition because they apply same metric for both ground and air path or employ the simple weight value to combine multiple metrics. To overcome this limitation, in this study, we propose new routing metrics for path over unmanned aerial vehicles and use the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method to determine the weight factors between multiple metrics. For the case studies, we extend the ad-hoc on-demand distance vector protocol and propose a strategy for modifying the route discovery and route recovery procedure. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism is able to achieve high end-to-end reliability and low end-to-end delay in tactical ad hoc networks.
The applications of multiple criteria decision making(MCDM) methods were investigated to determine the priority order in forest road construction for timber harvesting and silvicultrual activities in 22 regions. In this paper, MCDM methods have five methods from two kinds of models. The one is non-compensatory preference model including maximin and maximax method; the other is compensatory preference model including simple additive weighting method(SAW), hierarchical additive weighting method(HAW) and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS), SAW and TOPSIS methods turned out to be the most adequate for forest road construction priority order among the five methods tested in this study.
