With the development of networks, multimedia communication has expanded its application field. From the remote control for household electric appliances to medicine, games, video conferencing and multimedia chatting, multimedia communication is being used in all parts of our lives. This multimedia communication requires the transmission of a lot of data at high speed. But if the transmission rate of the communication network exceeds the processing speed of being used in the high speed network environment, a bottleneck occurs in each node and deteriorates the performance of the network. This is the main reason for the slow speed of data transmission and packet loss. In this paper, considering the client's processing performance, reception performance was predicted and the way of flow control was shown. The computing performance of relevant Processor and its performance was estimated through the actual implementation.

Misunderstanding of multimedia in the computer industry, the confusion of consumers, and the lack of understanding of technology in the human context provide an impetus for examining and speculating on the future of multimedia. "What can a multimedia technology do ?" is not a sufficient question for consumers until we add "for whom." Both how the relevant technology is likely to develop and how human choices would be made are examined with a focus on historical trend in media technology adoption.

We propose a content based watermarking technique in multimedia management system. In the proposed technique, a content description technique of MPEG-7 for the multimedia database is adopted into a watermarking technique. With multimedia features described by MPEG-7 standard, we propose a novel watermarking technique where MPEG-7 descriptors are regarded as perceptually significant portions. The watermark is embedded in cooperating with multimedia features such as MPEG-7 descriptor. To verify the feasibility and performance of proposed watermarking technique, experiments with the MPEG-7 database are performed.

The multimedia documents becomes the most natural user interface for CSCW(Conputer Supported Cooperative Work) in distributed environment. The objective of this study is to propose a multimedia document architecture and to develop a system that can manage it well. The new architecture is for revisable documents and is the basic layer for hypermedia documents. A good document architecture for CSCW must support pointing, marking, and editing over a part of documents. The user views, version control, and full- content search are also desirable features. In this paper, we discuss the basic concept of a new document architecture for CSCW. We also present the user interfaces for spatio-temporal compositions of multimedia documents.

최근, 현대인들은 자동차의 성능과 기능을 뛰어넘어 좀 더 감성적이고, 정서적 만족감을 제공하는 제품을 기대하고, 원하고 있다. 감성 Information & Communication Technology(ICT)는 정보 통신 기술을 기반으로 인간의 감성을 자동 인지하고, 사용자의 감성과 상황 정보를 처리하여 상황에 맞게 적용하는 기술을 말한다. 향후 감성 ICT 기술은 인간의 감성을 인지하여 사용자와 기기가 서로 교감하는 형태인 감성 맞춤형 서비스로 발전될 전망이다. 본 논문에서는 자동차 감성 ICT의 기술 동향을 분석하고 향후 방향성을 모색하고자 한다.
