I researched the acceptance attitude to the multiculturalism of Korean people and the relationship between language and society through two Korean films, and . And I researched the language form in the multicultural families in the way conducting the survey targeting international marriage immigrant women. The content and conclusion in shortly are as in the following. (1) The acceptance attitude to the multiculturalism of Korean people is somewhat positive in such a case having no interests among themselves. (2) It depends upon the society and the culture for the foreigners to come into contact and learn the language easily. It means well-adapted to the certain society for the foreign workers to use status-language such as slang and jargon in the society. And this is the good example to show us the relationship between the language and certain society. (3) The language form of the multicultural families in Korea is mainly Korean, but two languages are used in order to communicate well with monolingual. This is called 'bilingualism', and according to the result of my research I think it is 'listening comprehension type bilingualism'. From this time forward it is urgently needed to develop the contents in relation to multiculturalism and the 'bilingualism' education program for multicultural families instead of the education of Korean being limited to communication itself in order to improve adaptiveness to multiculturalism in Korean society.

The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends of bilingual education which are focused on foreigner parent's language education for children from multicultural families in South Korea. After searching, total 36 research papers were selected and analyzed. Results from this study showed that, (1) relevant researches started from 2009, later then the number of researches kept about 4-6 yearly and reached the peak of 11 (31%) in 2004; (2) a large majority (75%) of the analyzed researches published in the magazines relative to a field of language education or children education; (3) diverse research methods were employed, and the number of researches applied on qualitative research methods is similar with on quantitative ; (4) the researches mainly studied on the members of multicultural families (67%), and 10 analyzed researches investigated parents and children together 28%, and 9 targeted on parents or one of them (25%), and 5 just on the children from multicultural families (14%). and, (5) The research topics mainly divided into four fields current bilingual education programs (31%), bilingual education (31%), interaction related to bilingual education (22%), suggestion on policy improvement(17%). Based on the results, discussions and implications for further research and practice on bilingual education and foreigner parent's language education will be provided.

There is a need to provide appropriate transportation safety services to foreigners residing in Korea. The main purpose of this study is to enhance transportation safety services for foreigners. In order to identify the risk of traffic accidents, analysis of traffic accidents was conducted using a survey of foreigner travel behavior. According to the results of this model, the study suggests directions to achieve improvement of traffic safety services for foreigners who are unfamiliar with the transportation systems. The study results show that the risk of traffic accidents is influenced by two factors: comprehension of transport geography and of traffic laws. Necessity of policy is influenced by two factors: comprehension of transportation system and the risk of traffic accidents. Intention of using policy is influenced by two factors: the risk of traffic accidents and necessity of policy. Effect of policy is affected by the intention of using policy. The results also demonstrate that the traffic safety services for foreigner can be described as endogenous variables which are approximately 88% of the traffic safety education, 85% of the demanded multicultural district, and 75% of the portal traffic information. Compared with existing research, this study provides a systematic methodology to evaluate effects and the order of priority in establishing traffic safety policies for foreigners.

This study is focused on increasing of population aging and multicultural families in Korea. This study is conducted to figure out the marital satisfaction of marriage immigrant wives having elderly husband and to verify the effect of the social service and human support. This analysis was used in the '2009 National Multicultural Families Survey' data is at least 65 years of age, married immigrant spouses wife 236 case. Descriptive statistics were performed for statistical analysis and hierarchical regression techniques. The effective variables of the marriage immigrant wives include the experience of discrimination, subjective health condition, education for social adjustment, whether an adviser is Korean when they face difficulties, and whether the frequency of contacts made with their families in homeland is more than once to three times a year. Analysis shows that these things works as the effect variable of marital satisfaction.

This study is focused on showing possibilities and limitations of the disabled men roles through the relationships with migrant women in korean novels, furthermore it is discovering the problems and the directions for successful cohabitation of the disabled men and migrant women in Korea. To accomplish this purpose of study, we analyzed and criticized 5 Korean novels which described the life of a disabled man with a migrant woman in Korean multicultural society. As a result, the disabled man in those relationships represented the man who was only true to his own desires or the man of the minority in social restraint due to disability and also those men can be classified as attackers or helpers for their migrant lovers. These formulaic expressions being problematic by themselves also facilitate making distorted images of the disabled men and migrant women.

Current support policies for multicultural families translate the focus on educating multicultural children from the initial adjustment of foreign-born brides. By contrast with Korean-born biracial/biethnic children of international couples, foreign-born immigrant children suffer linguistic and cultural differences. This study explores the acculturational difficulties and needs of school-aged immigrant adolescents in Busan Metropolitan city and suggests policies to meet their needs. Seventeen participants, including immigrant adolescents, immigrant parents, in-school service providers and out-school service providers, were recruited, and focus-group interviews were conducted. The major themes show that school-aged immigrant adolescents suffer from cultural/racial differences, different naming practices, linguistic differences, and age gaps. In addition, the study participants strongly call for KSL education, academic mentoring programs, career education, and education for multicultural understanding. This study suggests that future policies should be designed to support immigrant adolescents based on a diversity model beyond assimilationist approaches of adeficitmodel.

Today, demand for job training of married immigrants is increasing. This research aims to propose developmental Edu-Tech based on the demand for education contents and the characteristics of multicultural family. Based on analysis such as FGI(focus group interview) and expert interview, this paper presents a four methods for development of EduTech for multicultural people, such as language skills, the recommendation technology of customized training contents, contents design based on gamification and user experience design. This research contributes to the direction of the method to use EduTech as a tool for gaps in education and welfare state.

This is a study path analysis for relationship among multicultural perception(MP), cultural competence(CC) and professional self-concept(PSC). The survey was performed on 245 nursing students in one university. Data was collected using structured questionnaire and analysed with PASW 18.0, AMOS 18.0. Model fit indices were in good agreement with recommended level($x^2/df=1.170$, GFI=.992, AGFI=.970, RMSEA=.027, CFI=.995, NFI=.967). Based on path model CC showed a direct effect on PSC while MP, satisfaction in major(SM), and interpersonal relationship(IR) showed a indirect effect. The MP and SM showed a direct effect on CC while IR showed a indirect effect and SM and IR showed a direct effec on MP. The findings indicate the necessity of developing educational programs to enhance nursing student's MP and CC for increasing of PSC.

This study was a literature review to investigate the trends and characteristics of music intervention studies on psychological support for children and adolescents from multicultural families. A total of 19 researches(13 theses and 6 articles) from 2009 to 2018 was reviewed through the selection and exclusion criteria. First, in the general characteristics, researches employing quasi-experimental design and those of one-group pre-post tests scored a higher ratio, and studies for children under the age of 13 also showed the highest percentage. Second, about the intervention characteristics, the goal mainly focussed on self-related factors such as self-identity, self-esteem and self-concept, and with the intervention type, there were mostly found the group activities integrating singing, playing and creating. It is meaningful that this study can be used as basic data developing music intervention programs for them, and suggesting music intervention considering the characteristics of them will be conducted more actively in the future.

This study tries to figure out the communication types between a mother-in-law and a foreign daughter-in-law through their 'confrontational conversation.' For this, three episodes of 'Multicultural Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law Biography' aired by EBS (Education Broadcasting System) were monitored. The dialogues between the mother-in-law and the foreign daughter-in-law were written down and analyzed. According to the result, there were 'dysfunctional communication' styles during their conversation. Theses styles deepened their conflict. Thus, to abate the conflict between the mother-in-law and the foreign daughter-in-law, this study suggested that it was necessary to develop the convergence counseling program and the family therapy for their functional communication.
