향후 레이더는 능동 위상 배열레이더(Active Phased-Array Radar System)로 발전하는 추세이다. 특히, 다채널 수신 시스템에서 실시간 신호처리를 위해서 신호처리용 보드의 처리 속도와 개수와의 trade-off는 최적화 되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 많은 양의 수신 데이터를 안테나부에서 신호처리부로 전달하기 위한 전송 기법에 대하여 소개하고자 한다. 그 결과, 기존 방법에 비해 신호처리부의 S/L 보드 개수는 절반(1/2) 수준으로 감소하였고, 통신 전송 속도 여유 마진은 약 2배 더 증가되는 효과가 있다.

스테레오-멀티채널 업믹스(Stereo-to-Multichannel Upmix)기술은 시장의 대부분을 차지하는 스테레오 음원을 홈시어터와 같은 멀티채널 스피커 재생 환경에서 효과적으로 재생하기 위한 채널 포맷 변환 기술을 말한다. 수평적인 공간감뿐만 아니라 수직적인 공간감을 재현하기 위하여 10.2, 22.2채널 환경의 경우 고도 채널이 추가되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 채널 환경에서 수직, 수평적인 공간감을 재현하기 위하여 새로운 초기 반사음을 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 진폭 패닝방법을 이용하여 전방의 가상 음원들에 의하여 발생되는 리시버 위치에서의 음압을 일치시킴으로써 기존 알고리즘이 가지지 못했던 이론적인 배경을 갖는다. 청취 평가 실험을 통하여 제안된 알고리즘은 음장의 수직, 수평적인 폭을 증가시키며, 좀 더 안정적인 음상 정위 성능을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.

UHDTV 시스템의 개발로 오디오에서도 보다 몰입감 있는 멀티채널 오디오 시스템에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에, 과거 ITU-R에서 표준이 제정되어 극장 및 HDTV 등에 폭넓게 활용되어 온 5.1채널 대비 elevation 채널을 포함한 더 많은 채널 수를 사용하여 청취자에게 궁극의 몰입감을 줄 수 있는 멀티채널 오디오 시스템이 여러 표준화 단체를 통해 논의되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 ITU-R에서 이루어지는 Advanced Multichannel Stereophonic Sound System 표준화 논의를 중점적으로 살펴보기 위하여, ITU-R의 구성과 현재까지 논의된 이슈 및 앞으로의 전망 등에 대해서 논하고자 한다.

Previous work on the phase-shifted version of the multichannel quantum-defect theory (MQDT) for a system involving 2 closed and many open channels (Lee, C.-W. Bull. Korean Chem. Soc. 2010, 31, 1669) was extended to obtain the formulae of the spectral shape parameters with the structure of a pole extracted explicitly for general cases only limited by 2 non-degenerate closed channels. The theory was applied to the narrow $6p_{1/2,3/2}np$ J = 1 autoionizing Rydberg series in barium perturbed by the $6p_{3/2}nf$ states obtained by de Graaff et al.

The phase-shifted version of the multichannel quantum-defect theory (MQDT) was reformulated by disentangling the interloper spectrum from the perturbed dense Rydberg series for a systems involving 2 closed and more than 1 open channel. The theory was applied successfully to Martins and Zimmermann's photoionization spectra of the Rydberg series Cu I $3d^9\;4s(^1D_2)\;nd^2G_{9/2}$ perturbed by the interloper, $3d^9\;4p^2\;^4F_{9/2}$, for which Cohen's 4 channel QDT had failed. The zero surface graphic of the perturbed Fano's asymmetry parameter q of the autoionization spectrum of dense Rydberg series by the interloper was determined by only two parameters for this system. It was used as a map to trace the transformation route of the 3 channel autoionization spectra to the 4 channel spectra when the channel coupling of the closed channels with a newly added open channel was turned on progressively.

The ultra-high definition TV system nicknamed "Super Hi-Vision" is a television system with 4000-scanning-line video and 22.2 multichannel sound. NHK has been developing it with the aim of creating a broadcasting system conveying a strong sensation of presence. We believe that it is important to design the system by taking into account human factors such as human visual system characteristics. This paper describes the psychological and physiological experiments on the visual effects of "Super Hi-Vision".

GM 계수관을 방사선 검출기로서 사용하고, 검출기의 신호를 디지탈 펄스로 변환하는 펄스처리회로와 디지탈 통신방식의 하나인 FSK(frequency shift keying) 변복조회로를 설계하였으며, 휴대용 무전기로 송수신되는 방사선 검출신호를 방사선량과 방사선량율로 개인용 컴퓨터의 화면에 표시하는 단일채널 무선 방사선측정 시스템을 개발하고 성능을 평가하였다. 성능검증 실험에서 펄스를 입력한 경우와 검출기에 방사선을 조사시킨 경우 펄스처리회로에서 약 5V의 동일한 디지탈 펄스가 출력되었고, 무선통신계통에서도 입력과 출력이 왜곡없이 송수신되고 있음을 확인하였다. 검출기에 표준방사선원(Cs-137)으로 방사선을 조사시켜 선량률을 측정한 결과 측정오차는 조사된 선량률의 10% 이내를 나타내었다. 본 시스템은 국내에선 처음으로 설계되었으며, 향후 다중채널로 구성하여 실시간 개인방사선피폭선량계, 방사선감시기 등 여러 용도의 방사선측정기에 응용함으로써 방사선방어에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

This paper presents the design of an automated EEG analyzing system. The design considerations including processing speed, A/D conversion, filtering, and waveforms detection, are overviewed with the description of the associated EEG characteristics. The architecture of the currently implemented system consists of a p-controller based front-end signal processing unit and a host computer system. The data acquisition procedures are described along with a couple of illustrations of the acquired EEG/EOG signal.

Frequency division multiplexed 3ch. Color TV signals have been transmitted via optical fiber by employing $1. 3\mum$ InGaAsP DH-laser diode, graded index optical fiber and Ge-APD as optical components. Overall system margin of 20 dB was realized at weighted SNR of more than 49 dB. With this system margin, measured DG and DP were less than 10% and $5^{\circ}$respectively. Throughout this experiment, it was confirmed that multichannel TV signals could be economically transmitted over optical fiber in short haul networks. This paper describes system outlines and hardware implementation results.

A spectroelectrochemical system assembled with a white light source, bifurcated optical fiber, Oriel Multispec spectrograph, and a charge-coupled device (CCD) detector is described. The system is shown to be capable of acquiring a whole spectrum in the spectral range of 290-800 nm in 25 ms or a longer period during electrochemical experiments at reflective working electrodes such as platinum or mercury. The utility of the system in studying electrochemical reactions during the potential scan, galvanostatic electrolysis, or after the potential step is demonstrated.
