Vehicle communication networks have some deficient network resources to support a vast multimedia service including safety driving information, video, news and some broadcast relayed from the playgrounds such as professional baseball games for autonomous vehicles. This paper deals with the framework for providing seamless multimedia service including safety driving information using multicast in cooperated-connected vehicle communication network (CVCN). It adopts smart-switch (SS) and smart intelligent multicast agent(SIMA) to support the seamless multimedia service. The SS manages and switches multimedia streams through SIMA in CVCN network. The SIMA to operate as an access point, is composed of multicast supporting part and control part of mobile devices/autonomous vehicles in CVCN network. Therefore this proposed technique using SS and SIMA within CVCN network is a new framework for multimedia service that can disperse the load of server.

In this paper. we propose an adaptive handover scheme in wireless network The proposed handover scheme is a hybrid type of virtual path extension and rerouting. The proposed handover scheme chooses the virtual path management scheme according to the service QoS instead of the network topology which is used in the previous hybrid handover schemes. The proposed scheme supports the seamless service and small buffering during virtual path rerouting handover through the multicasting service. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme. we compute the number of signaling message used for handover and perform computer simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides more efficiency in the handover delay and seamless service than the previous methods.

The multicasting telecommunication is an important research as an applicable technique in the development of adaptable technique for modern mobile computing and mobile IP, because that is supposed to be a solution for transferring the large-size information on the mobile and wireless network with the narrow bandwidth. This paper will suggest one solution for the bidirectional tunneling and the local re-registration problems to support transferring mobile multicasting datagram by the partitioned network. The bidirectional tunneling technique is in use for mobile host moving around in a region and the local re-registration technique for crossing regions to reduce traffic load caused by transferring datagram along a long distance, and we compare those models with our suggested model by simulation.

We suggest a distributed communication and management methodology using PC to PC Query multicasting strategy for efficient management of medical images produced by DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) Modalities. It is absolutely necessary to reduce strict degradation of PACS system due to large sire of medical images and their very high transport rates. DICOM PC to PC Component is composed of a Service Manager to execute requested queries, a Communication Manager to take charge of file transmission, and a DICOM Manager to manage stored data and system behavior Each Manager itself is a component to search for requested file by interaction or to transmit the file to other PCs. Distributed management and transformation of medical information based on PC to PC Query multicasting methodology will enhance performance of central server and network capacity, reducing overload on both. We organize three major components for system operation. Each component is implemented as Agent. Communication between agents uses XML encoded Agent Communication Language.

Most of the colleges run their own broadcasting stations. They provide diverse types of content, and nowadays many colleges even provide video content. This paper deals with the concept of multicast service as a solution to provide efficient broadcasting service on the college campus. For this purpose, it examines concept and characteristics of the multicast service. It also reviews the actually case of such service provided by S college in Seoul, focusing on its platform, major functions, and scenario. I expect what's discussed in this paper contribute to effective implementing and operating of a college broadcasting service. Also, multicast service introduced in this paper is applicable to the various organizational environment such as private companies and institutions as well as colleges.

정보 사회로의 빠른 성장으로 인해 기존의 단대단 서비스를 넘어서 다양한 요구 사항들이 제시되고 있다. 특히 다자간 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위한 멀티캐스트 방식은 좋은 예가 될 것이다. 이를 위해 현재 고정 IP에 기반한 다양한 멀티캐스트 방식들이 제안되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 유선에서 무선으로 그 통신 범위가 확대되면서, Mobile IP에 기반한 멀티캐스트 서비스를 고려하지 않을 수 없다. 또한, 원격 호스트에서 서비스를 제공해야 하므로, 지불 관련 인증 서비스 및 사용자 익명성이 동시에 제공되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Mobile IP상에서 멀티캐스트를 수행할 경우, 그룹원의 인증 및 익명성을 제공할 수 있는 새로운 메커니즘을 제시한다.

To generate a multicast routing tree guaranteeing the quality of service (QoS), we consider the hop constrained Steiner tree problem and propose a new mathematical formulation for it, which contains fewer constraints than a known formulation. An efficient procedure is also proposed to solve the problem. Preliminary tests show that the procedure reduces the computing time significantly.

시간에 의존적인 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 다양한 네트웍 환경에 맞도록 전송하는 방법이 다양하게 연구되고 있다. 또한 멀티미디어 데이터를 실시간으로 전송하기 위한 프로토콜로 RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol)을 적용하여 하고 있으며, 다양한 상태의 네트웍을 통한 전송에 대한 피드백(feedback) 정보인 RTCP(Real-time Transport Control Protocol) 정보를 이용하여 QoS(Quality of Service)를 관리하는 메커니즘이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 RTP/RTCP 기반의 실시간 멀티미디어 데이터 전송을 위하여 멀티캐스팅(multicasting) 환경 하에서 각기 다른 대역 폭에 대한 동적인 QoS 관리 플랫폼을 제안한다.

The QoS(Quality of Service) guarantee mechanism is one of critical issues in the wireless network. Real-time applications like VoIP(Voice over IP) in All-IP networks need smooth handoffs in order to minimize or eliminate packet loss as a Mobile Host(MH) transitions between network links. In this paper, we design a new multicasting algorithm using DB(Dynamic Buffering) mechanism for Mobile-IPv6. A key feature of the new protocol is the concepts of the DB and MRA(Multicast Routing Agent) to reduce delivery path length of the multicast datagram. Particularly, the number of tunneling and average routing length of datagram are reduced relatively, the multicast traffic load is also decreased.

This paper proposes an IP(Internet Protocol) multicast routing method by multiple tree routes. Multiple trees, instead of a single tree, improve the quality of multicast services with nonlinear link cost and huge traffic demand. The proposed method adds tree routes until it satisfies target conditions, and it splits the multicast traffic demand into the chosen tree routes. We develop a mathematical model and optimal conditions for traffic splitting. The method works on the problems with many different simultaneous multicast traffic. Various experiments were carried and the results show that the new multicasting is fairly effective on end-to-end quality of services.
