Implementation of a software for a control system with dual structure under the real-time operating system (실시간 운영체제 환경하에서 이중화된 제어시스템을 위한 소프트웨어의 구현)

  • In this paper, a method for implementing software for the control system with dual structure in processor module is proposed and implemented to enhance its reliability. In this implementation the multi-tasking function which is provided by a real-time operating system is applied. The overall softwre is divided into five tasks and is performed in each of the dual processor module, independently. By this, the processor module with dual structure can achieve a control objective and fault diagnostics effectively. An experimental result shows that the backup processor module can be substituted for the primary processor module immediately when it happens to fail, because data relating the failure information are exchanged continuously done via shared memories.

  • This paper expounds the development of a user-friendly expert system for the optimal stacking sequence design of composite laminates subjected to the various rules constraints. The expert system was realized in the graphic-based design environment. Therefore, users can access and use the system easily. The optimal stacking sequence is obtained by means of integration of a genetic algorithm, finite element analysis. These systems were integrated with the rules of design heuristics under an expert system shell. The optimal stacking sequence combination for the application of interest is drawn from the discrete ply angles and design rules stored in the knowledge base of the expert system. For the integration and management of softwares, a graphic-based design environment that provides multi-tasking and graphic user interface capability is built.

  • The basic technology for a production system represented by design, machining, assembly, and inspection, is machining technology such as CNC machine tools. etc. Direct Numerical Control, that effeciently manages NC programs is developing into Distributed Numerical Control that increases the utilization of the machining cell. It has the ability of monitoring and control, in real time, for CNC and periperial equipment. In this study, we develop a Distributed Numerical Control system that has real time and multitasking operation capability for the machining cell with various CNC's. With the consideration of economy, generalization and extension, the system is interfaced with CNC machine tools and periperial device using RS-485 network and RS-232C communication methods.

  • 내장형 시스템은 우리들의 생활에 커다란 변화를 가져왔으며, 많은 적용분야와 다양한 기능을 갖추고 있어서 일상 생활에 널리 사용되고 있다. 문제는 이러한 기기들이 마이크로 컨트롤러에 가해지는 전기적 잡음과 전자기 방해가 많은 환경에서 사용되어지고 있다는 점이다. 따라서 이러한 환경에서는 시스템의 안정적인 운영을 도울 수 있는 기술중의 하나인 Watchdog Timer(WDT)가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 WDT를 이용한 시스템 오류제어를 실시간 운영체제인 $UbiFOS^{TM}$에 적용하였다.

  • Embedded system area has brought an innovation and has been spread rapidly by the growth of the Internet, wireless telephony and multimedia recently. Many embedded systems are required to be real-time systems in that it needs multi-tasking and priority based scheduling. This paper introduces a real-time system that was developed with web server ability for control and monitoring system employing a real-time operating system. It discusses the design model, structure, and applications of web server system. We used SNDS100 board which has a 32-bit RISC microcontroller of ARM7TDMI core as a hardware platform. MicroC/OS kernel was used as Real-time operating system that supports a preemptive and multitasking functions. We developed a hierarhchical control and monitoring system that not only reduced system and management costs, but also enhanced reusability and portability.

  • This paper proposes a new model by combining an infinite-server queueing model for multi-task processing software system with a perfect debugging model based on Markov process with two types of faults suggested by Lee et al. (2001). We apply this model for module and integration testing in the testing process. Also, we compute several measure, such as the expected number of tasks whose processes can be completed and the task completion probability are investigated under the proposed model.

  • This paper presents a hierarchical real-time operation control and monitoring scheme of the FMS/CIM center which has been implemented at the Automation and Systems Research Institute of Seoul National University. The hierarchical structure of the whole scheme consists of three lavers. The upper layer is in charge of on-line scheduling, computer network control, shop-floor monitoring and command generation for AGV dispatching, machining, assembly, inspection, set-up, etc. The middle layer has six modules, which are installed in the FMS host computer with the upper layer and run on the multi-tasking basis. Each module is connected to one of six cell controllers distributed in the FMS model plant and transfers operation command down to each cell controller through the Ethernet/TCP-IP local area network. The lower layer is comprised of six cell control software modules for machining cell, assembly cell, inspection cell, set-up stations. AS/RS and AGV. Each cell controller reports the status of the manufacturing facilites to the middle layer as well as ecxecuting the appropriate sequence control of the manufacturing processes.

  • With the development of CNC(Computer Numerical Control) and communication technology, the connotation and functions of Distributed Numerical Control have been greatly enlarged. In this study, we develop and implement a Distributed Numerical Control system that has real time and multi-tasking operation capability for the machining cell with various NC(Numerical Control) and CNC machines. With the consideration of economy, generalization and extension, this system is interfaced with Shop Floor Control System, Machine Control System and Tool Preparation System using advanced networking method. In the implementation phase, we use the ORACLE DBMS (Database Management System) as the DBMS and Microsoft Visual C++ as the programming tools.

  • This study was designed to develop a basic plan for computerization of nursing records. The subjects were 7 nursing record forms, 58 charts, 23 nurses, 2 nurse managers, a nurse and computer specialist, 16 master course students and 3 professors. Data collection was conducted through questionnaire, observation and interview. The collected data were analyzed for problems, plan of improvement and needs for computerization. Based upon these results, it is recommended that nursing record computerization was needed a basic plan to integrate needs of nursing record computerization. The basic plan as fellows : 1. To illustrate a data flow path of nursing record and data dictionary that show nurse's work and record process. 2. To establish a system in order to use multi -tasking and graphic user interface. 3. To establish hardware and software in order to embody integrated management of computer based system through structured walkthrough. 4. To choose effective database management system and to achieve Log as record unit.

소형 스마트 항법 시스템 설계

  • 전원 공급이 제한되거나 전원 공급이 불가능한 소형 요트, 작업선, 바지선 등에도 항해 안전을 위한 다양한 항법장치가 필요하고, 해양사고 발생 시 사고원인을 분석하기 위한 기능이 필요하다. 그러나 기존 상선 및 수상레저용 개별 항법 장치는 고가, 대용량 전원공급, 조작의 어려움, 넓은 설치 공간의 필요 등의 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 3축 반도체 가속도 센서와 3축 반도체 경사 센서 및 다양한 기상 측정 센서와 CCD 카메라, 방수 캡슐에 내장된 메모리 등을 이용한 소형 스마트 항법 장치(Multi-Tasking Integrated Navigation System, MINS)를 설계하였다. 기존에 개발된 다양한 기술과 상용 센서 등을 이용하면 MINS 개발이 가능함을 알았고, 이러한 MINS 개발에 필요한 시스템을 제안하였다.
