Deep leaning convolutional neural networks (CNN) have successfully been applied to image super-resolution (SR). Despite their great performances, SR techniques tend to focus on a certain upscale factor when training a particular model. Algorithms for single model multi-scale networks can easily be constructed if images are upscaled prior to input, but sub-pixel convolution upsampling works differently for each scale factor. Recent SR methods employ multi-scale and multi-path learning as a solution. However, this causes unshared parameters and unbalanced parameter distribution across various scale factors. We present a multi-scale single-path upsample module as a solution by exploiting the advantages of sub-pixel convolution and interpolation algorithms. The proposed model employs sub-pixel convolution for the highest scale factor among the learning upscale factors, and then utilize 1-dimension interpolation, compressing the learned features on the channel axis to match the desired output image size. Experiments are performed for the single-path upsample module, and compared to the multi-path upsample module. Based on the experimental results, the proposed algorithm reduces the upsample module's parameters by 24% and presents slightly to better performance compared to the previous algorithm.

This paper presents the CDMA system using the RAKE receiver over a multipath fading channel and in multi-user environments. The interference between the propagation paths in a multipath fading causes a serious degradation in the mobile communication environment. In order to derive the path inteference and reduce the fading effect, the RAKE receiver is used. In a computer simulation, the path number of a fading channel and the branch number of the RAKE receiver are modified. As a result, the CDMA system using the RAKE receiver gives a better performance than the conventional CDMA system over a multipath fading channel and in multi-user environments.

This paper proposed an Inter-Carrier-Interference (ICI) Canceling Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) receiver for 5G mobile system to support 500 km/h linear motor high speed terrestrial transportation service. A receiver in such high-speed train sees the transmission channel which is composed of multiple Doppler-shifted propagation paths. Then, a loss of sub-carrier orthogonality due to Doppler-spread channels causes ICI. The ICI Canceler is realized by the following three steps. First, using the Demodulation Reference Symbol (DMRS) pilot signals, it analyzes three parameters such as attenuation, relative delay, and Doppler-shift of each multi-path component. Secondly, based on the sets of three parameters, Channel Transfer Function (CTF) of sender sub-carrier number 𝒏 to receiver sub-carrier number 𝒍 is generated. In case of 𝒏≠𝒍, the CTF corresponds to ICI factor. Thirdly, since ICI factor is obtained, by applying ICI reverse operation by Multi-Tap Equalizer, ICI canceling can be realized. ICI canceling performance has been simulated assuming severe channel condition such as 500 km/h, 2 path reverse Doppler Shift for QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM and 256QAM modulations. In particular, for modulation schemes below 16QAM, we confirmed that the difference between BER in a 2 path reverse Doppler shift environment and stationary environment at a moving speed of 500 km/h was very small when the number of taps in the multi-tap equalizer was set to 31 taps or more. We also confirmed that the BER performance in high-speed mobile communications for multi-level modulation schemes above 64QAM is dramatically improved by the use of a multi-tap equalizer.

Wireless LAN(Local Area Network) environment to support QoS in IEEE802.11 Working Group has standardized on the IEEE 802.11e. IEEE 802.11e EDCA channel access of the high priority traffic as by raising the probability of a chance to support QoS. This is a high priority traffic than low priority traffic, channel access is not necessarily the first. Therefore, as all traffic channels, if you have the same routing path, lower priority traffic on the performance of high priority traffic, sustainable impact. As a result, EDCA, such as voice or video to guarantee QoS for multimedia applications, follow the crowd. In this paper, to solve these problems by using Multi-Interface Multi-Path Routing Algorithm is proposed. Interface for each use in IEEE 802.11e EDCA Access Category much differently by each of the Routing Path for high priority traffic and guarantee QoS.

This paper proposes an orthogonal reception structure for OS/SS communication with time-shifted m-sequences, and compares the performances of the proposed and conventional receiver. This structure provides two important characteristics to reference user signal with not only increment of auto-correlation value but also cancel of the cross-correlation value out to zero between the reference user and other user signals. In addition, the structure can be easily implemented with the conventional receiver adding an additional integrator path in parallel and an adder that sums the conventional path output and the new path output signal. Hence, the proposed structure can be applied for channel impulse response measurement, and efficiently used for multi-user interference signal cancellation and channel capacity increment by flexible structural inter-working operation, connection or disconnection, of the new path to conventional receiver structure.

To mitigate the performance degradation caused by performance anomaly, a number of channel assignment algorithms have been proposed for multi-rate wireless mesh networks. However, network conditions have not been fully considered for routing process in these algorithms. In this paper, a joint scheme called Multi-rate Dijkstra's Shortest path - Rate Separated (MDSRS) is proposed, combining routing metrics and channel assignment algorithm. In MDSRS, the routing metric are determined through the synthesized deliberations of link costs and rate matches; then the rate separated channel assignment is operated based on the determined routing metric. In this way, the competitions between high and low rate links are avoided, and performance anomaly problem is settled, and the network capacity is efficiently improved. Theoretical analysis and NS-3 simulation results indicate that, the proposed MDSRS can significantly improve the network throughput, and decrease the average end-to-end delay as well as packet loss probability. Performance improvements could be achieved even in the heavy load network conditions.

To solve the shortage of radio spectrum and utilize spectrum resource more efficiently, cognitive radio technologies are proposed, and many studies on cognitive radio have been conducted. Multi-hop routing is one of the important technologies to enable the nodes to transmit data further with lower power in ad-hoc cognitive radio networks. In a multi-channel cognitive radio networks, each channel should be allocated to minimize interference to primary users. In the multi-hop routing, channel allocation should consider the inter-channel interference to maximize network throughput. In this paper, we propose multi-channel scheduling scheme which minimizes inter-channel interferences and avoids collision with primary users for the multi-hop multi-channel cognitive radio networks. The proposed scheduling is designed to determine both of routing path and channel selection. The performance of proposed channel allocation scheme is evaluated by the computer simulation in the aspect of capacity and collision rate.
A new blind equalization algorithm that is based on maximizing the probability that the constant modulus errors concentrate near zero is proposed. The cost function of the proposed algorithm is to maximize the probability that the equalizer output power is equal to the constant modulus of the transmitted symbols. Two blind information-theoretic learning (ITL) algorithms based on constant modulus error signals are also introduced: One for minimizing the Euclidean probability density function distance and the other for minimizing the constant modulus error entropy. The relations between the algorithms and their characteristics are investigated, and their performance is compared and analyzed through simulations in multi-path channel environments. The proposed algorithm has a lower computational complexity and a faster convergence speed than the other ITL algorithms that are based on a constant modulus error. The error samples of the proposed blind algorithm exhibit more concentrated density functions and superior error rate performance in severe multi-path channel environments when compared with the other algorithms.

In this paper, we analyze the performance of UWB(Ultra-WideBand) communication system employing Bi-phase modulation and RAKE Receiver under the MAI(Multiple Access Interference) and the OSI(Other System Interference) environment. Using the multi-path channel model recommended by IEEE P802.15.TG3a, the performance degradation Is described with the number of users, the number of RAKE fingers and training sequences. To meet BER 10e-4 for 20 users at the same time, the number of RAKE fingers are proposed from 3 to 32. And the number of training sequences are limited less than 8 to keep the channel estimation error within 3dB
