  • Marine radars are affected by sea and rain clutters, which can make target discrimination difficult. The clutter standard deviation and improvement factor are applied using multiple parameters-moving speed of radar, antenna speed, angle, etc. When a radar signal is processed, a Data Matrix Bank (DMB) filter can be applied to remove sea clutters. This filter allows detection of a target, and since it is not affected by changes in adjacent clutters resulting from a multi- target signal, sea state clutters can be removed. In this paper, we study the level for clutter removal and the method for target detection. In addition, we design a signal processing algorithm for marine radars, analyze the performance of the DMB filter algorithm, and provide a DMB filter algorithm design. We also perform a DMB filter algorithm analysis and simulation, and then apply this to the DMB filter and cell-average constant false alarm rate design to show comparative results.

  • Noise reduction the noise of a high precision multi-stage gearbox applied at the industrial robot is investigated by experiment such as the modal test and the signal analysis. The signal analysis performed with the waterfall plot representing the power spectrum as a function of the rotating speed. An eccentric load is installed at the gearbox in order to organize similar condition used in the industrial robot. Exciting sources are found out by the waterfall plot, and then the main factor to make the noise is distinguish. For the low-noise gearbox, the gear design parameter is modified and this gearbox is experimented in the same procedure. The results of the test show the noise level of gearbox reduced.

  • In this paper, a new blind signal processing scheme for equalization in fading and impulsive-noise channel environments is introduced based on probability density functionmatching method and a set of Dirac-delta functions. Gaussian kernel of the proposed blind algorithm has the effect of cutting out the outliers on the difference between the desired level values and impulse-infected outputs. And also the proposed algorithm has relatively less sensitivity to channel eigenvalue ratio and has reduced computational complexity compared to the recently introduced correntropy algorithm. According to these characteristics, simulation results show that the proposed blind algorithm produces superior performance in multi-path communication channels corrupted with impulsive noise.

  • Herein, we present a compact transversal bandpass filter (BPF) with an extremely wide upper stopband and multiple transmission zeros (TZ). Three signal transmission paths with shorted stubs and open-coupled lines allow signal transmission from input port to output port. Two resonant modes can be excited simultaneously and managed easily for bandpass response. Eleven TZs are achieved via transmission path cancelation; an extremely wide upper stopband with an attenuation level better than -12 dB is achieved up to 11.7 f0, where f0 is the center frequency (CF). In addition, bandwidth and CF can be controlled by adjusting electrical lengths. For proof of concept, a wideband BPF centered at 1.04 GHz with 3 dB fractional bandwidths of 49.2% was designed, fabricated, and evaluated. The overall circuit measures 0.045λg × 0.117λg; good agreement was observed between the measured and simulated results.

  • As technology advances, processor speeds are increasing at a rapid pace and digital systems require a significant amount of data bandwidth. As a result, careful consideration of signal integrity is required to ensure reliable and high-speed data processing. Crosstalk has become a vital area of research in signal integrity for electronic packages, mainly because of the high level of integration. Analytic formulas were analyzed in this study to identify the features that can predict crosstalk in multi-conductor transmission lines. Through the analysis, five variables were found and obtained a dataset consisting of 302,500, data points. The study evaluated the performance of various regression models for optimization via automatic machine learning by comparing the machine learning predictions with the analytic solution. Extra tree regression consistently outperformed other algorithms, with coefficients of determination exceeding 0.9 and root mean square logarithmic errors below 0.35. The study also notes that different algorithms produced varied predictions for the two metrics.

  • We present a parametric array signal generating system using $3{\times}16$ transducer array which is composed of multi-resonant frequency transducers of 20kHz and 32.5kHz. To drive transducer array, sixteen channel amplifier using LM1875 chips is designed and implemented, and the PXI system based on the LabView 8.6 for arbitrary signal generation and analysis is used. Using the proposed system, we measure sound pressure level and beam pattern of difference frequency and verify the nonlinear effect of difference frequency. The theoretical absorption range and the Rayleigh distance are 15.51m and 1.933m, respectively and we verify that sound pressure of difference frequency is accumulated and increased at the near-field shorter than the Rayleigh distance. We verify that the beam pattern of the measured difference frequency and the beam pattern obtained by the superposition of two primary frequencies are similar, and high directional parametric signal was generated.

  • This paper proposes a multiuse detection system in a multi-cell M-ary Frequency Shift Keying(MFSK)/frequency hopping(FH)-Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) environment, in which the channel model is an OR-channel and in the reverse link. We have proposed a multiuse detection system in a single cell. However, this sitye is not adequate to detect multiuser in a multi-cell environment. Therefore, we propose a multiuser detection system based on 3 level OR decision with two threholds. The proposed detection system can delete interference as well as intra-cell interference, receive the weakened desired signal and reject the false alarm. computer simulation shows the performance improvement.

  • Recently, DGPS or RTK-GPS techniques enable us to use satellite based positioning systems with high accuracy. But in urban area, navigation systems suffer from problems such as signal blockage by high-rise buildings, multi-path problems, and so on. So we have to know numbers of visible satellites and quality of signals received at the ground level in urban area as accurate as possible. In this paper, we developed a simulation system called LoQAS [Location service Quality Assessment System, 2002, the University of Tokyo] which can simulate numbers of visible satellites and DOP values using accurate satellite orbital data and 3-D digital map. In this time, we evaluated this system and extended it to deal with reflected signals to assess multi-path problems.

  • A lot of researches have been done to improve the energy efficiency of Wireless Sensor Networks. But all the current researches are based on the idea of direct communication between cluster head and sink node. Previous results assume that node can intelligently regulate signal energy according to the distance between nodes. It is difficult to implement algorithms based on this assumption. We present a multi-level routing algorithm from the sink node to all other nodes which have fixed radio wave radius. We also show the energy saving efficiency and the implementation in real WSN using the simulation result.

  • The wavelet transform is the most recent technique for processing signals with time-varying spectra. In this paper, the wavelet transform is utilized to improved the assessment and multi-resolution analysis of acoustic emission signals generating in partial discharge. This paper especially deals with the assessment of process statistical parameter using the features extracted from the wavelet coefficients of measured acoustic emission signals in case of applied voltage 20[kv]. Since the parameter assessment using all wavelet coefficients will often turn out leads to inefficient or inaccurate results, we selected that level-3 stage of multi decomposition in discrete wavelet transform. We applied FIR(Finite Impulse Response)digital filter algorithm in discrete to suppression for random noise. The white noise be included high frequency component denoised as decomposition of discrete wavelet transform level-3. We make use of the feature extraction parameter namely, maximum value of acoustic emission signal, average value, dispersion, skewness, kurtosis, etc. The effectiveness of this new method has been verified on ability a diagnosis transformer go through feature extraction in stage of acting(the early period, the last period) .
