  • In this study the moving information extraction techniques of moving objects are processed digital imaqe data by sampling three frames in a fixed-bacqround two-dimensional line sequence image the brightness of interframe are compared to extract difference image and difference image are two level formed and neighber averged From neigbber averaged image the parameters for recoqnition of the object are the number of contorur pixels, the number of vertex points and the distance between the vertex points Agtercomparing the same object the moving distance obtained from the coordinate which is constructed by the bit processing of the digital data and the moving velocity is obtained from the moving distance and the time interval between the first andsecond sampled frames.

  • A two-dimensional moving target is necessarily captured by a 5 dot robot system using a robot vision technique. Here, a robot vision system with a visual skill so that it can take information for a moving target or object, specially two dimensionally moving, is introduced and its algorithm and control strategy are presented associated with it. The tracking algorithm is proposed and its performance is verified by experiment. The camera first captures the object, then it captures again after certain second.   • In the Digital Convergence era, the center of social networking is moving into on-line space. This means also that space for public is moving into the on-line space. Along with this, spaces in commercial area, offered as attraction factors, are taking a role as a public space. So, this paper defines these spaces mentioned above as public space and the like. Liberal and affluent communication of Digital Convergence has caused in new spatial cognitions such like, constant social space, flowing space, temporary space, and multiple space. This means the hybridization of on-line and off-line space and the advent of public convergent space. However, it is on-line-centered convergence and has positive effects and negative effects on relationship. This paper suggests the optimization of public convergent space to solve the problems and make better a public space for relationship. For achieving this, social disclosure is grasped as the common way to start relationship both off-line and on-line, and it is proved that social disclosure has three characters such as self-presentation, corporeality, and subjectivity. Subsequently, the differences of the roles of off-line and on-line space are separated by each individual character. These are self-presentation of performance vs. storytelling, corporeality of embodiment vs. disembodiment, and self-subjectivity vs. inter-subjectivity. By recognizing that there are multilevel spectrums between the formers and the latters, this paper presents the direction of the spatial configuration of public convergent space which offers the right of manipulation of self-disclosure. It will be used for presenting the prototype of public convergent space.

광 흐름과 학습에 의한 영상 내 사람의 검지 (Human Detection in Images Using Optical Flow and Learning)

  • Human detection is an important aspect in many video-based sensing and monitoring systems. Studies have been actively conducted for the automatic detection of humans in camera images, and various methods have been proposed. However, there are still problems in terms of performance and computational cost. In this paper, we describe a method for efficient human detection in the field of view of a camera, which may be static or moving, through multiple processing steps. A detection line is designated at the position where a human appears first in a sensing area, and only the one-dimensional gray pixel values of the line are monitored. If any noticeable change occurs in the detection line, corner detection and optical flow computation are performed in the vicinity of the detection line to confirm the change. When significant changes are observed in the corner numbers and optical flow vectors, the final determination of human presence in the monitoring area is performed using the Histograms of Oriented Gradients method and a Support Vector Machine. The proposed method requires processing only specific small areas of two consecutive gray images. Furthermore, this method enables operation not only in a static condition with a fixed camera, but also in a dynamic condition such as an operation using a camera attached to a moving vehicle.

[ Hα ] SPECTRAL PROPERTIES OF VELOCITY THREADS CONSTITUTING A QUIESCENT SOLAR FILAMENT

  • The basic building block of solar filaments/prominences is thin threads of cool plasma. We have studied the spectral properties of velocity threads, clusters of thinner density threads moving together, by analyzing a sequence of $H{\alpha}$ images of a quiescent filament. The images were taken at Big Bear Solar Observatory with the Lyot filter being successively tuned to wavelengths of -0.6, -0.3, 0.0, +0.3, and +0.6 ${\AA}$ from the centerline. The spectra of contrast constructed from the image data at each spatial point were analyzed using cloud models with a single velocity component, or three velocity components. As a result, we have identified a couple of velocity threads that are characterized by a narrow Doppler width($\Delta\lambda_D=0.27{\AA}$), a moderate value of optical thickness at the $H{\alpha}$ absorption peak($\tau_0=0.3$), and a spatial width(FWHM) of about 1". It has also been inferred that there exist 4-6 velocity threads along the line of sight at each spatial resolution element inside the filament. In about half of the threads, matter moves fast with a line-of-sight speed of $15{\pm}3km\;s^{-1}$, but in the other half it is either at rest or slowly moving with a line-of-sight velocity of $0{\pm}3km\;s^{-1}$. It is found that a statistical balance approximately holds between the numbers of blue-shifted threads and red-shifted threads, and any imbalance between the two numbers is responsible for the non-zero line-of-sight velocity determined using a single-component model fit. Our results support the existence not only of high speed counter-streaming flows, but also of a significant amount of cool matter either being at rest or moving slowly inside the filament.

액정 디스플레이의 동화상 퍼짐 노이즈 특성 평가 (Characteristics Evaluation of Moving Picture Blur Noise for Liquid Crystal Display)

  • LCD의 동화상 퍼짐(blur) 노이즈를 측정하고 그 특성을 평가하였다. 실험결과, 퍼짐 노이즈는 시선이 동화상을 추적하면서 이동할 경우에 발생하며 시선이 고정되어 있을 경우에는 발생하지 않았다. 그리고 화상 퍼짐에 의한 계조 감소는 선형적이며 속도 의존성이 있었다. 이 실험결과를 근거로 한 퍼짐 노이즈 시뮬레이터를 개발하고 퍼짐 노이즈를 시뮬레이션 한 결과, 화상의 이동속도가 빠를수록 퍼짐 노이즈가 증가하였으며 이것은 측정결과와도 일치하였다. 백라이트 점등비 제어에 의한 퍼짐 노이즈 특성을 시뮬레이션 한 결과, 점등비가 낮을수록 노이즈가 저감되나 백라이트의 점등 타이밍이 2개의 인접한 프레임에 걸쳐서 있으면 오히려 노이즈가 심해졌다. 또한 프레임을 120[Hz]로 배속시켜 구동하는 경우에는 기존의 두 화상 사이에 새로운 화상이 생김으로써 얻는 화상 이동속도의 감소가 퍼짐 노이즈를 저감시켰다.

NLOS환경에서의 최소자승법을 적용한 위치인식 보정 알고리즘 (The Compensation Algorithm for Localization Using the Least-Squares Method in NLOS Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 WPAN의 NLOS(Non Line of Sight)환경에서 최소자승법을 적용한 위치인식 보정 알고리즘을 제안하고, 성능을 분석하였다. 이동 중인 이동노드의 위치인식 정확도를 향상시키기 위해 먼저 일정한 속도로 이동 중인 이동노드의 거리 값들을 SDS-TWR(Symmetric Double-Sided Two-Way Ranging)로 측정 한 후 이들을 사용하여 삼각 측량법(Triangulation)으로 위치를 측정하고, 그다음 최소자승법을 적용하여 위치인식 값을 보정하였다. NLOS환경에서 실험한 결과, 삼변 측량법, 칼만필터 및 최소자승법을 적용한 경우의 위치인식 평균오차는 ${\pm}1m$, ${\pm}0.2m$, ${\pm}0.1m$로 측정됨을 확인하였다. 결론적으로 제안한 최소자승법을 적용한 위치인식 보정 알고리즘의 위치인식 정확도는 삼각측량법에 의한 위치인식 정확도 보다 평균 86.0%, 칼만필터에 의한 위치인식 정확도 보다 평균 16.0% 향상된 것이다.

A novel PLL control method for robust three-phase thyristor converter under sag and notch conditions

  • The paper presents a novel phase locked loop(PLL) control method for robust three-phase thyristor dual converters under sag, notch, and phase loss conditions. This method is applied to three line to line voltages of grid to derive three phase angle errors from three separated single-phase PLLs. They can substitute for abnormal phase to guarantee the synchronization in the various grid fault conditions. The performance of novel PLL with moving average method is verified through simulations.

  • In this paper, we developed a Windows 95 version off-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 30 graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 95's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc were utilized for 3D Graphics.
