Accurate actuator tracking plays an important role in real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS) to ensure accurate and reliable experimental results. Frequency-domain evaluation index (FEI) interprets actuator tracking into amplitude and phase errors thus providing a promising tool for quantitative assessment of real-time hybrid simulation results. Previous applications of FEI successfully evaluated actuator tracking over the entire duration of the tests. In this study, FEI with moving window technique is explored to provide post-experiment localized actuator tracking assessment. Both moving window with and without overlap are investigated through computational simulations. The challenge is discussed for Fourier Transform to satisfy both time domain and frequency resolution for selected length of moving window. The required data window length for accuracy is shown to depend on the natural frequency and structural nonlinearity as well as the ground motion input for both moving windows with and without overlap. Moving window without overlap shows better computational efficiency and has potential for future online evaluation. Moving window with overlap however requires much more computational efforts and is more suitable for post-experiment evaluation. Existing RTHS data from Network Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) is utilized to further demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. It is demonstrated that with proper window size, FEI with moving window techniques enable accurate localized evaluation of actuator tracking for real-time hybrid simulation.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of moving mass on the vibration characteristics and the dynamic response of the simply supported beam. The three types of the moving mass(moving load, unsprung mass, and sprung mass) are applied to the vehicle-bridge interaction analysis. The numerical analyses are then conducted to evaluate the effect of the mass, spring and damper properties of the moving mass on natural frequencies and dynamic responses of the simply supported beam. Particularly, in the case of the sprung mass, variations of the natural frequency of simply supported beam are explored depending on the position of the moving mass and the frequency ratio of the moving mass and the beam. Finally the parametric studies on the resonance phenomena are performed with changing mass, spring and damper parameters through the dynamic interaction analyses.

This paper proposes a moving object detection algorithm for active camera system that can be applied to mobile robot and intelligent surveillance system. Most of moving object detection algorithms based on a stationary camera system. These algorithms used fixed surveillance system that does not consider the motion of the background or robot tracking system that track pre-learned object. Unlike the stationary camera system, the active camera system has a problem that is difficult to extract the moving object due to the error occurred by the movement of camera. In order to overcome this problem, the motion of the camera was compensated by using SURF and Pseudo Perspective model, and then the moving object is extracted efficiently using stochastic Label Cluster transport model. This method is possible to detect moving object because that minimizes effect of the background movement. Our approach proves robust and effective in terms of moving object detection in active camera system.
In detection of moving objects from video sequences, an essential process for intelligent visual surveillance, the cast shadows accompanying moving objects are different from background so that they may be easily extracted as foreground object blobs, which causes errors in localization, segmentation, tracking and classification of objects. Most of the previous research results about moving cast shadow detection and removal usually utilize color information about objects and scenes. In this paper, we proposes a novel cast shadow removal method of moving objects in gray level video data for visual surveillance application. The proposed method utilizes observations about edge patterns in the shadow region in the current frame and the corresponding region in the background scene, and applies Laplacian edge detector to the blob regions in the current frame and the corresponding regions in the background scene. Then, the product of the outcomes of application determines moving object blob pixels from the blob pixels in the foreground mask. The minimal rectangle regions containing all blob pixles classified as moving object pixels are extracted. The proposed method is simple but turns out practically very effective for Adative Gaussian Mixture Model-based object detection of intelligent visual surveillance applications, which is verified through experiments.
Tracking of the moving object, which is realized by the computer vision, is used for military and industrial fields. It is the application technique with imply complicated processing for understanding the input images. But, in these days, the most moving object tracking algorithms have many difficult problems. A typical problem is the increase of calculation time depending on target number. For this reason, there are many studies to solve real time processing problems and errors for background environmental change. In this paper, we used optical flow which is one of moving object tracking algorithms. It represents vector of the moving object. Optical flow estimation based on the regularization method depends on iteration method but it is very sensitive the noise. We proposed a new method using the Combinatorial Hough Transform (CHT) and Voting Accumulation in order to find optimal constraint lines. Also, we used the logical operation in order to release the operation time. The proposed method can easily and accurately extract the optical flow of moving object area and the moving information. We have simulated the proposed method using the test images. This images are included the noise. Experimental results show that the proposed method get better flow and estimate accurately the moving information.

A simply supported pipe conveying fluid and the moving masses upon it constitute this vibrational system. The equation of motion is derived by using Lagrange's equation. The influence of the velocity and the inertia force of the moving masses and the velocities of fluid flow in the pipe have been studied on the dynamic behavior of a simply supported pipw by numerical method. The velocities of fluid flow are considered within its critical values of the simply supported pipe without the moving masses upon it. Their coupling effects on the transverse vibration of a simply supported pipe are inspected too. The dynamic deflection of the simply supported pipe conveying fluid is increased by a coupling of the moving masses and the velocities of the moving masses and the fluid flow. When four or five regular interval masses move on the simply supported pipe conveying fluid, the amplitude of the simply supported pipe conveying fluid is small at low velocity of the masses, but at high velocity of the masses the deflection of midspan of the pipe is increased by coupling with the numbers and magnitude of the masses. The time which produce the maximum dynamic deflection of the simply supported pipe is delayed according to the increment of the number of moving masses.

Increasing of the velocity of fluid flow makes the frequency of transverse vibration of the simply supported pipe conveying fluid decrease and the deflection of midspan of the pipe increase. This paper proposes a method for detection of objects temporally stop moving in video sequences taken by a moving camera. Even though the consequence of missed detection of those objects could be catastrophic in terms of application level requirements, not much attention has been paid in conventional approaches. In the proposed method, we introduce cues for consistent detection and tracking of objects: motion potential, position potential, and color distribution similarity. Integration of the three cues in the graph-cut algorithm makes possible to detect objects that temporally stop moving and are newly appearing. Experiment results prove that the proposed method can not only detect moving objects but also track objects stop moving.
This paper studies the non-axisymmetric 3D problem on the dynamics of the moving load acting in the interior of the hollow cylinder surrounded with elastic medium and this study is made by utilizing the exact equations of elastodynamics. It is assumed that in the interior of the cylinder the point located with respect to the cylinder axis moving forces act and the distribution of these forces is non-axisymmetric and is located within a certain central angle. The solution to the problem is based on employing the moving coordinate method, on the Fourier transform with respect to the spatial coordinate indicated by the distance of the point on the cylinder axis from the point at which the moving load acts, and on the Fourier series presentation of the Fourier transforms of the sought values. Numerical results on the critical moving velocity and on the distribution of the interface normal and shear stresses are presented and discussed. In particular, it is established that the non-axisymmetricity of the moving load can decrease significantly the values of the critical velocity.

A realization for moving object sensing and tracking system in two dimensional plane using stereo line CCDs and lighting source is presented in this paper. The system is realized that instead of processing camera images directly, two line CCD sensor and input line image is used to measure two dimensional distance by comparing the brightness on line CCDs. The algorithms are used the moving object sensing, path tracking and coordinate converting method. To ensure the effective detection of moving path, a detection algorithm to evaluate the reliability of each measured distance is developed. The realized system results are that the performance of moving object recognizing shows 5mm resolution, and enables to track a moving path of object per looms period.
