  • To establish nondestructive test method for rocket motor assembly with rubber and aerospace composite materials, practicable quality control acoustic emission test method is presented. Structural analysis for motor assembly is performed by ABAQUS code and analysis output result is confirmed by strain gage and AE data. Various specimens were tested and analyzed using strain gage and acoustic emission data. The hit rate of acoustic emission was closely related with case/rubber debonding. This report also describes practicable acoustic emission nondestructive method for evaluating motor case assembly quality assurance in the industrial field.

The objective of this study is to discover the effects of physical therapy on subject paitient' s posture and Normal Motor Development after Selective Posterior rhizotomy. The subject patients were 280 children who had physical therapy for about 4 to 6 months after Selective Posterior Rhizotomy. The sum of points both pre and post operation by using Locomotion stage of Vojta and Arens's grading of Gross Motor Function were compared and evaluated. Among total of 280 Cerebral Palsy children who had 4 to 6 months of physical therapy ; total of 206 children(197 by grade 1, 9 by grade 2) has increased out of 218 spasticity type children, and totoal of 42 has increased (by gradel) out of 48 Athetoid type, and total of 8 jas increased (by grade 1) out of 14 Mixed type Physical therapy for Cerebral Palsy children after Selective Posterior Rhizotomy has enhanced Normal Motor Development and their posture. The therapy also has shown the results of shortening the therapy period and better treatment results.

  • In this paper, the numerical analysis for heat conduction of silica/phenolic composite material, used for solid rocket nozzle liners or insulators, is conducted. A 1-dimensional finite difference method for the analysis of silica/phenolic during the firing of a solid rocket motor is used to calculate heat conduction, considering surface ablation and thermal decomposition. The boundary condition at the nozzle wall, considering the convective heat transfer, is obtained via integration equations. The numerical results of the surface ablation and char depth are compared with the results of a TPEM-10 test motor, finding that the result of calculation agrees with the thermal response of the test motor.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to test the impact of The Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training has effect on the visual perception reaction velocity. Dynavision were used to measure data from the participating 24 students(K college). Method : The participants were the 24 students of 'K' College in Busan in there twenties. They were divided into the The Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training group and the control group. To know if the Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training has effect on the visual perception reaction velocity, the Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training was implemented triweekly for 4 weeks. In Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training the ball should be grasped with one hand and threw by an arm. Only the balls threw beyond the objective point were counted. The visual perception reaction velocity and the number of response were measured before and after experiment by Dynavision. Result : Firstly, the visual perception reaction velocity was increased in Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training group compared with control group. Secondly, the number of response was also increased in Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training group compared with control group. Conclusion : As a result of The Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training has an effect on the visual perception reaction velocity and the number of response. The Dynamic Visual-Motor integration training seems to be effective for cerebral apoplexy patient who has visual perceptional disability or cerebral palsy child in training for visual perceptional development or daily living activities development. Study participated by more detailed and practical patients in hospital is needed.

  • Dual pulse rocket motor has a rocket motor with different pulse grains divided by a pulse separation device such as a fragile bulkhead or a thermal barrier type. It distributes thrust energy very effectively via pulse separation device to improve range and terminal velocity of a missile. This paper contains the thermal barrier design and experimental analysis through ground firing tests of small dual pulse motors. The results will be applied to the design, test and evaluation of the scale up dual pulse rocket motor.

  • Objective: This study examined that general characteristics such as gender, age, period of stay at an institution, size of facility, and temperament and attachment affect young children's development under institutional care. Methods: A total of 94 young children (ages 2-4years), who live in 32 institutions in Seoul were assessed on their development using the Korean-Age & Stage Questionnaire. Pearson productmoment correlation analysis, and multiple regression analyses were used for data analysis. Results: The major findings of this study were as follows: first, a longer period of stay at an institution had more positive effects on the development of communication. Facilities with more than 60 children had lower communication, gross motor, and fine motor development compared to facilities with less than 60 children. Second, social temperament had positive effects on communication, problem solving, and personal-social development. Emotional temperament had no effects on all development areas. Third, attachment had positive effects on all development areas. Lastly, social temperament and attachment had interactive effects on communication, gross motor, problem solving, and personal-social development. Conclusion: These results imply that caretakers in institutions should give developmental mediation services for considering temperament and facilitation of attachment.

  • This paper presents the event approach to motor skill acquisition as a theoretical treatment of the learning and relearning of motor skill. 1) The use of norm-referenced developmental assesment tools and standardized qualitative assessment tool is an important component of infant movement evaluation. 2) The kinesthetic modality relaying movement and position imformation to the central nervous system is important for the detection and corretion of movement error. 3) The event approach treats the actor and the environment as inseparable in the acquisition of skills. 4) Motoy learning focuses almost entirely on how the skill is learned, contRolled and reTained. 5) Developmental assessment have needed an assessment of motor development. 6) A significant difference was found between articulation disorders children and motor coordination problem. 7) verbal ability is not essential for the learning of motor skills. 8) The Control of motor skills is a cognitive ability.

  • This paper is presented for the development of the brushless DC(BLDC) motor for the spindle motor of hard disk drives(HDD). A new BLDC Motor has the use of insulated, compacted, and iron powder for the armature core material of BLDC motors. Insulated iron powder in this paper is generally called soft magnet composite(SMC). The SMC is used for the stator of the motor instead of the laminated steel core. The motor used by SMC can have the good advantages in condition of the high frequency input power and small sized motor. It gets much more high efficiency than laminated steel core at same input power. The proposed motor has a technique of speed sensorless control. Experimental results show the performance of the proposed BLDC motors for an HDD.

  • This paper proposed optimal design and microcontroller driver for driving the thin-type ultrasonic motor. To find the optimal size of the stator, motions of the motor were simulated using ATILA by changing length, width and thickness of the ceramics. Two sinusoidal waves which have 90 degree phase difference were needed for driving the thin-type motor. The thin-type ultrasonic motor driver was composed of microcontroller(Atmega128), push-pull inverter, encoder and AD-converter. Microcontroller generates four square waves which have variable frequency and 25[%] duty ratio in $20{\sim}150$[kHz]. The output signals of microcontroller were converted to sine wave and cosine wave by push-pull inverter and were applied to the thin-type ultrasonic motor. The encoder and AD-converter were used for maintaining speed of the thin-type ultrasonic motor. The AD-converter controlled DC voltage of inverter in accordance with output signal of encoder. Using the driver, characteristics of the motor as speed and torque were measured.
