일부지역 치위생과 학생들의 자아존중감, 전공만족도 및 진로정체감과의 관련성 (Correlations of self-esteem, major satisfaction and career identity in dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the factors influencing on self-esteem, major satisfaction, and career identity. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 389 dental hygiene students in three colleges located in Metropolitan area. The questionnaire consisted of 5 questions of general characteristics, 10 questions of self-efficacy, 18 questions of major satisfaction, and 13 questions of career identity by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.92 in self-efficacy, 0.90 in major satisfaction, and 0.88 in career identity in the previous studies. Cronbach's alpha in this study was 0.911 in major satisfaction, 0.840 in self-efficacy, and 0.8090 in career identity. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regressions. Results: The score was 3.47 in self-esteem, 3.79 in major satisfaction, and 3.03 in career identity. There were significant differences in self-esteem and major satisfaction based on grade, motivation for entering college, and clinical practice satisfaction. In case of career identity, there were significant differences based on characteristics, motivation for college choice, and clinical practice satisfaction. There was a positive correlation between negative self-esteem, positive self-esteem, general satisfaction, awareness satisfaction, curricula satisfaction, interpersonal relation satisfaction, and career identity. The influencing factors on career identity were aptitude, interest, self-esteem, and major satisfaction in order(p<0.001). Conclusions: The career identity is closely related to self-esteem and major satisfaction. It is desirable to open a variety of education courses and to develop systematic and practical programs to the students in order to improve the career identity.

치위생(학)과 학생의 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors influencing the career preparation behavior of dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: This study examined the professionalism, major satisfaction, self-leadership, and career preparation behavior of dental hygiene students, and examined the factors affecting career preparation behavior. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted among dental hygiene students in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas of Korea, and finally, questionnaires submitted by 190 subjects were analyzed. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 21.0. Results: The average scores for professionalism, major satisfaction, self-leadership, and career preparation behavior among the evaluated subjects were 3.68±0.56, 3.44±0.46, 3.57±0.55, and 3.24±0.52, respectively. Students who answered that their motivation for career preparation according to general characteristics was "because it is a valuable job" showed the highest score of 3.60±0.54 for professionalism (p<0.01) and higher scores for major satisfaction and career preparation behavior (p<0.001). The factors that affected career preparation behavior were self-leadership (p<0.001), major satisfaction (p<0.01), and professional intuition (p<0.01). Conclusions: The study findings showed that groups with higher self-leadership, major satisfaction, and professionalism exhibited more active career preparation behavior. Therefore, various educational programs are needed to improve dental hygiene (academics) and career preparation behavior of students.

환자의 치과병·의원 선택동기 (Choice motivation of dental clinics by patients)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the choice motivation of dental clinics by patients. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 577 patients visiting the dental clinics from October 6 to 25, 2014 in G city after explaining the purpose of the study and receiving the informed consent. The questionnaire consisted of sociodemographic characteristics and choice motivation of dental clinics using Likert 5 point scale. Results: 1. The traffic convenience was the highest in those who were the 30s (3.37) and unmarried person (3.30). Those having moderate oral health condition showed 3.23. The regular checkup group had 3.33. The physical environment was the highest in the 20s (3.37) and the unmarried persons (3.33). Those having master's degree showed 3.86. The reputation of the dental clinic image was the highest in those having master's degree (3.63). Those having moderate oral health condition had 3.28. The main reason for dental clinic visit was tooth extraction (3.79, p<0.05). 2. The top priority choice for the dental clinic was the access to the dental clinic and the next reason was reputation for the dentist. The other choice factors included trust for the dentist, recommendation, and night treatment. Conclusions: The important choice for the dental clinic included the access to the dental clinic and reputation for the dentist.

간호사의 동기부여, 조직공정성, 직무만족, 재직의도와의 관계 (A study on Relationship among Organizational Fairness, Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Intention to stay of Nurses)

  • 본 연구는 병원간호사의 재직의도의 결정요인을 규명하는 연구로 동기요인, 위생요인, 분배공정성, 절차공정성, 직무만족 변수를 중심으로 연구하였다. 연구방법은 서울, 경기, 충남지역의 4개 종합병원 217명의 간호사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 모든 요인들은 유의한 상관관계가 있었으며, 단계별 회귀분석 결과 특히 간호사 의 재직의도에 영향을 주는 변수 중 총 경력, 직무만족, 분배공정성이 45% 설명력이 있는 것으로 나타나 여러 선행 연구들과 이론적 내용들이 검증되었다. 재직의도에 대한 경로분석 결과 수정모형에서 직무만족에 직접영향을 주는 요인으로 위생요인 25%, 동기요인 52%로 나타났으며 재직의도에 직접 영향을 주는 요인으로 직무만족 50%, 분배공정성 26%로 나타나 동기요인, 위생요인, 분배공정성, 직무만족 변수가 간호사 재직의도에 영향을 주는 요소로 검증이 되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호사들의 만족과 재직의도를 높일 수 있는 중재방안의 기초자료를 제공 할 수 있다는데 연구의 의의가 있다고 본다.

일부 치위생(학)과 학생의 행복지수와 학과만족도에 관한 연구 (The study on the happiness index and department satisfaction of dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide a counseling program basis for the department satisfaction in dental hygiene department according to the subjective factors of happiness in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 197 dental hygiene students in Gwangju from April 10 to 30, 2017. From collected data, general characteristics, happiness index and department satisfaction of the subjects were investigated. Data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The happiness index according to general characteristics showed a significant difference in grade, character, friendship, academic achievement, pocket money satisfaction and health condition. The department satisfaction according to general characteristics showed a significant difference in grade, age, character, motivation for further study, friendship, academic achievement, pocket money satisfaction, health condition, sleep time. Happiness index showed a significant correlation with department satisfaction. The happiness index was higher as the department satisfaction was higher. Factors that affect happiness index are friendship, health condition, relationship satisfaction, perception satisfaction, school satisfaction, curriculum satisfaction and department satisfaction. Conclusions: The happiness index was higher as the department satisfaction was higher. Therefore, it is necessary to develop various programs to increase the happiness.

소방공무원의 동기부여와 조직몰입간의 관계 (A Study on the Motivation and Organizational Commitment of Fire Officials)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between motivator, hygiene factor and organizational commitment of fire officials. Method: The subjects of this study were 228 fire officials in Kongju and Choengju province. Data were collected using self-reporting questionnaire during the period from 1st to 25th of February 2006. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 program. Real number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were calculated, and t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient were carried out. Result: The findings of this study as follows: The motivator according to job characteristics was statistically significant differences in certificate(F=3.29, p= .002), aptitude(F=15.49, p= .000). The hygiene factors according to job characteristics was statistically significant differences in certificate(F=2.59 p= .01), aptitude(F=6.72, p= .000). The organizational commitment according to general characteristics were statistically significant differences in age(F= 2.625, p= .036), religion(F=3.869, p= .005). The organizational commitment according to job characteristics were statistically significant differences in experience(F=3.746, p= .001), aptitude(F=13.743, p= .000), wish of practice change(F=8.907, p= .000). The commitment was found to be in significant positive correlations with motivator(r= .436, p= .000) and hygiene factors(r= .336, p= .000). Conclusion: From the results, we recommend that the organization management program develops for increasing motivator in fire officials be used.

치위생 학생의 스마트폰 이용동기, 스트레스, 대인관계만족도가 과의존에 미치는 융합 연구 (Convergence of Smartphone Motivation, Stress, and Interpersonal Satisfaction on the Dependence of Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 치위생 전공 학생을 대상으로 이용 동기, 스트레스, 대인관계 만족도가 스마트폰 과의존에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하기 위해 시행하였다. 대전 충남 지역의 치위생 전공 학생 216명을 대상으로 설문 조사하였다. 치위생 전공 학생의 스마트폰 과의존에 영향을 미치는 요인은 주중 사용시간)(3-4hours/>4hours)(${\beta}=0.163$), 주중 사용시간(<3hours/3-4hours)(${\beta}=0.196$), 이용 동기(${\beta}=-0.178$) 순이었고, 가장 영향을 주는 요인은 주중 사용시간 이었으며, 설명력은 25.6%이었다. 스마트폰의 과의존에 미치는 여러 가지 요인들에 관한 연구와 치위생 전공 학생들을 위한 스마트폰 과의존 예방 교육을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 적용이 필요하다

일부 치위생과 학생들의 셀프리더십이 스트레스 대처방식에 미치는 영향 (Effect of self-leadership on stress coping in dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : This study examined the stress-coping methods used by Dental Hygiene students according to their degree of self-leadership to provide basic data for students' self-leadership training programs. Methods : Dental Hygiene students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were surveyed to measure their self-leadership in six categories-self-expectation, rehearsal, goal-setting, self-compensation, self-criticism, and constructive thinking-sand, in four categories-sproblem-centered coping, social support coping, emotional coping, and wishful thinking coping-son a scale of 1 through 5. Results : The findings of the study were as follows: The overall average score of self-leadership was 3.34 and the scores for each subfactor were 3.82 for self-compensation, 3.57 for self-expectation, 3.44 for rehearsal, 3.42 for goal-setting, 3.30 for self-criticism, and 3.12 for constructive thinking. The overall average score of stress-coping was 3.29 out of 5 and the scores for active coping were 3.14 for problem-centered coping and 3.38 for social support coping and for passive coping were 3.69 for wishful thinking coping and 2.95 for emotional coping. Self-leadership showed significant difference in terms of satisfaction with major and motivation for application. The six sub-factors of self-leadership and problem-centered coping and wishful thinking coping, the sub-factors of stress-coping, had significant correlations. Self-compensation and constructive thinking were significant factors of self-leadership that affect stress-coping. Conclusions : Based on the above findings, it was found that Dental Hygiene students' self-leadership is related to the use of efficient stress-coping. Therefore, it would be necessary to develop and apply educational approaches to improve their self-leadership so they can efficiently cope with various stressors that they will face after finding jobs.

결혼이주여성의 구강보건교육 후의 구강보건지식과 관리 및 태도변화에 대한 연구 (Study of oral health knowledge, management and attitude change after health education program designed for marriage immigrant women)

  • Objectives : TThe purpose of this study was to provide the oral health education program for marriage imimigrant women. This study focused on the pre and post education effects including knowledge and attitude of oral health. Methods : Subjects were 51 marriage immigrant women who participated in the 4 phases of oral health program for two weeks from March 26 to June 30, 2012. Results : Oral health education program had a significant influence on the level of oral health perception. The oral health education program enhanced the knowledge level of marriage immigrant women. Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) also showed a significant difference and suggested that the oral health education program increased the level of knowledge related to oral care. Conclusions : It is necessary to investigate motivation factors and influential factors changing the oral health behaviors, knowledge and attitude related to oral health. Further study will be necessary to analyze the characteristics by countries, social class and age.
