합성섬유를 혼입한 콘크리트의 강도 및 내구특성 (A Study on the Durability and Strength Properties of Incorporating Polypropylene Fiber)

  • Concrete structures has been deteriorated by poor environment. This study was conducted to evaluate durability of concrete which are increasingly demanded recently. Therefore, the research of durability must be executed for application of Polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete real structures. Concrete durability properties incorporating Polypropylene fiber was performed with the variable of Fiber contents, Fiber type and Target strength, specimens were made and subjected to durability and strength tests. The results show that strength of concrete is increased the Fiber content increase, Mono-Filament fiber and Polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete makes improved durability properties.

섬유 보강토의 균열 특성 연구 (A Study on the Crack Characteristics of the Syntetic Fiber Reinforced Soil)

  • This study has been performed to confirm the three dimensional effect of the crack reduction and the restrained effect of crack growth for the synthetic fiber reinforced soil. Two types of polyrpropylene fiber and low plastic clay(CL) were used for the test. And the test variable were fiber length and so on. The results of the study were summarized as follows ; 1) The mixing of synthetic fiber was effective in reducing crack growth due to adhesion between soil partlcles and synthetic fiber.l Especially initlal crack was delayed, as compared with the pure soil, for about 1 day in case of mono filament synthetic fiber and for about 1 or 2 days in case of fibrillated syntetic fiber. 2) As the content and length of synthetic fiber were increased , the effect of crack reduction was increased. It was found that 0.5% fibrillated synthetic fiber with 40mm length reinforced soil had about 3 times more effective than natural soils. 3) In case of the same fiber content and fiber length, the fibrillated synthetic fiber has nmore effective than the mono filament synthetic fiber for crack reduction.

방사속도 및 공급률에 따른 PET 태세사(Thick & Thin yarn)의 특성 (Characterization of PET Thick & Thin Yarns on the Spinning Speed and Over Feed Ratio)

  • The aim of this work is to develop Thick-Thin polyester yarn(T-T yarn) with finer than 1 denier mono filament. The manufacture of T-T yarns were carried out in a draw-winder using 85d/72f PET filament with various spinning speed of 2700, 2900, and 3100 m/min, respectively. The structure and physical properties of T-T yarns with spinning speed and over feed ratio were examined by draw-winder processing the sample in $100^{\circ}C$ water for 20 min and drying in 120, 140, 160, and $180^{\circ}C$ of dry air for 20 min. The crystallinity, the birefringence and the initial elasticity modulus of T-T yarns increased with increased spinning speed of filament and the heat treatment temperature but at the temperatures higher than $140^{\circ}C$ the increased rates show a tendency to decrease. Moreover, the initial modulus and the tenacity of T-T yarns increased with decreasing the over feed ratio of filament and the those of T-T yarns decreases with increasing the heat treatment temperature. The shrinkage of T-T yarns decreased with decreasing spinning speed and increased over feed ratio of filaments. Consequently, the results indicate that the best T-T yarn under 1 denier was optimized from PET filament with spinning speed of 2700 m/min and over feed ratio of 0.67

그물감의 강도에 관한 연구 (3) 관통형 그물감의 마디의 강도 (Studies on Strength of Netting (3) Joint Strength of Twisted-Jointed Netting)

  • 관통형 그물감의 강도를 추정하기 위한 기초로서, 그물실의 강도가 관통마디에서 감소하는기구 및 주름을 주었을 때의 관통마디의 강도를 조사하고, 이들 강도를 매듭의 강도와 비교하였다. 실험에는 vinylidene(mono-f.), polyester(multi-f.) 및 nylon(multi-f.와 spun) 그물감이 사용되었으며, 관통마디의 시료는 이들 그물감을 계단하여 준비하였고, 또한 매듭은 이들 그물감의 다리로 만들어졌다. 실험 결과, 그물실의 강도가 관통마디에서 감소하는 원인은 마디에서의 편자사간의 마찰력으로 인해 마디의 첨단, 즉 마디와 다리와의 경계에 위치한 섬유들이 장력에 의해서 재분포하는데 마찰력만큼 저항을 받게 되고, 따라서 마찰력만큼 강도가 감소하는 것이라고 해석되었다. 그러나, 그 감소의 정도는 filament 그물실의 경우 $5\%$ 이내이고, spun 그물실의 경우는 $5\~10\%$ 정도여서, 마디의 감도는 근사적으로는 그물실의 강도로 표시해도 좋을 것 같았다. 주름을 주었을 애의 관통마디의 강도는 연접하는 두개의 다리가 이후는 각 $\varphi$$90^{\circ}$에서 최소치를 가지는 포물선상에서 변화하는 경향이었지만, 그 최소치는 강도의 감소가 가장 큰 습막의 spun 실에서 $\varphi$$0^{\circ}$때의 강도의 약 $94\%$이어서, filament 그물실의 관통마디의 강도는 $\varphi$의 변화에 관계없이 거의 일정하다고 간주해도 좋을 것으로 추찰되었다. 따라서, filament 그물실의 관통마디의 강도는 주름을 준 경우이거나 안준 경우거나를 불문하고, 그물실의 강도로 표시해도 좋을 것 같았다. 관통마디의 강도를 매듭의 강도와 비교한 결과, 매듭의 강도는 관통마디의 강도의 약 $70{\pm}5\%$로 나타났다.

기지금속을 달리한 Bi-2223 초전도 선에서의 기계적 특성 변화 (Mechanical properties at Bi-2223 HTS tapes with various sheath materials)

  • Bi-2223 HTS tapes are used widely for application of superconducting power systems. However there are need the properties of high strength and low AC loss. Two kinds of Bi-2223 HTS tapes with different Ag sheath were used to know the effect of sheath alloying for the strength and the resistivity. The workability and reaction degree of superconducting phase at Bi-2223 HTS tapes were investigated. We designed conventional type-Ag/alloy and double sheathed mono filament type-Ag/alloy/alloy in order to increase the strength and resistivity of matrix in Bi-2223 HTS tapes. The effect of axial strain and thermal cycling on the critical current was investigated for the Bi-2223 HTS tapes. Because the workability of double sheath Bi-2223 HTS tape was lower than one sheath Bi-2223 HTS tape, it was need additional softening treatment. Bi-2223 formation reaction was decreased by Ag alloy matrix during sintering process. Two kinds of Bi-2223/Ag tapes with different Ag sheath were used to know the effect of sheath alloying for the tensile strain. Critical current is drastically decreased for Ag/alloy and Ag/alloy/alloy sheathed tapes at tensile strain above 0.24 % and 0.34 %, respectively. This result showed that mechanical strength was increased over than 40 % by introduce double sheath at mono filament stage.

반응표면 실험 계획법에 의한 Mono-Acetate 필터담배 설계의 물리성 예측 (Prediction of Physical Properties in the Design of Mono-Acetate Filter Cigarette by Response Surface Methodology)

  • To minimize the time ordinarily spent in mono filter cigarette design, we studied the relationship between major seven independant variables ; filament(X1) and total denier(X2), porosity of the aller plug wrap(X3), filter length(X4), Porosity of the tip paper(X5) and cigarette paper(X6) and net weight of the reference cut tobacco(X7). Ninty trial numbers were obtained as a results of using rotatable central composite design and it is analyzed by the multiple regression analysis with stepwise in SAS/pc under restricted conditions. That is, UPD (Y1) = 82.96 - 3.80X1 + 2.50X2 - 3.29X3 - 3.15X5 - 0.83X22 + 1.88X5X6 - 1.38 X5X7(R2: 0.63), EPD(Y2) : 120.91 - 5.70X1 + 3.60X2 + 4.23X4 - 0.93X6 + 4.06X7 (R2=0.84), TVR(Y3) = 49.70 - 0.78X1 + 3.60X3 + 2.00X4 + 4.20X5 - 0.93X6 + 2.64X7 - 1.07X1X2 + 1.0IX1 X3 + 1.05X2X6 + 0.45X22 - 0.64X42 + 1.29X4X6 - 0.97X4X7 - 1.28X5X6 + 1.53X5X7 + 1.39X6X7(R2=0.65), and EVR(Y4) : 3.24-0.21X3-0.20X4 -0.24X5+0.67X6+0.26X4X7 (R2=0.55), where EPD : encapsulated pressure drop, VPD : unencapsulated pressure drop, TVR ; tip ventilation rate, and En : envelope ventilation rate. All variables in the model are significant at the 0.05 level.

  • To analyze the settlement characteristics of short-fiber reinforced soil(SFRS), which will be used as a new backfill material of reinforced retaining wall, under simulated railroad loading, a series of tests with loading condition of 5 Hz frequency and 500,000 cycles were performed. The materials used for tests are soils with SM or ML type, and polypropylene short-fibers with mono-filament(PPM) or fibrillated type(PPF). From the tests, average plastic settlement is low at PPF38(0.3%)(abbreviation of PPF with 38mm length and mixing ratio 0.3%), PPF38(0.5%), PPM60(0.2%) for SFRS using SM soil and at PPF38(0.3%), PPF60(0.2%) for SFRS using ML soil. Elastic settlement is low at PPM60(0.2%) for SFRS using SM soil and at PPM60(0.5%) for SFRS using ML soil.

  • 1. 가야금 줄의 내구성을 향상시키기 위하여 가야금 줄에 acrylic adhesive와 poly(vinyl alcohol)을 병용 처리한 결과 강려과 신도는 차이가 없었으나 하중 70%에서 절단할때까지의 반복회수는 화학가공처리 현이 무 처리한 현보다 48% 향상되었으므로 현의 내구성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있었으나 흡습율이 무처리 현보다 높았다. 2. 현의 내구성을 증대시키고 음량을 풍부하게 할 목적으로 생사와 polyester사의 혼합비율을 달리하면서 생사/폴리에스텔 복합현을 제조하고 물성을 조사한 결과 polyester사의 비율이 많아질수록 강력이 감소하였고 신도는 증가하여 가야금 줄로서 적당하지 않았으나 mono filament 사로서 강력이 우수한 polyester사를 사용하여 복합현을 만든 SSP 복합현의 경우 생사로 만든 현보다 강력이 우수하였다. 3. 새로운 현의 소재를 개발하기 위하여 생사(가잠사)와 작잠사와의 복합현을 제조하고 그 물성을 조사한 결과 가잠사/작잠사 복합현의 강력은 작잠사와 비율이 많아질수록 저하되었다.

  • 그물실의 강도가 매듭에서 감소하는 기구를 명백히 하기위해, 매듭에서의 그물실의 파단현상울 관찰하고 강도 감소에 영향을 끼치는 요소들을 조사하여 매듭의 강도를 나타내는 식을 유도하고, mono-filament, multi-filament, 및 spun 그물실로 구분된 11종류의 그물실에 대해 매듭의 강도를 측정하여 상기 식에 의한 계산치와 비교했다. 실험의 결과, 매듭이 파만을 일으키는 부분은 매듭의 첨단, 즉 매듭과 다리와의 경계이었으며, 강도감소의 원인은 이 첨단에 마찰력이 작용함으로 인해, 첨단에 위치한 섬유들이 자신에 걸리는 장력에 의해서 재분포하는데 마찰력만큼 저항을 받게 되기 때문이라고 간주되었다. 매듭의 강도 T는 $$T=\frac{T_0}{1+{\mu}\frac{s}{\rho}\varrho^{\mu\theta}$$ 로 표시되었고, 이 식에 의한 계산치는 실험치와 거의 일치했다. 단, $T_0$는 그물실의 항장력, $\mu$는 그물실간의 마찰계수, S는 매듭의 첨단과 그 첨단을 압축하는 그물실과의 접촉길이, $\rho$는 그 첨단을 압축하는 그물실의 곡률반경, $\theta$는 그 첨단을 압축하는 그물실이 반대편 첨단에서 다른 그물실과 마찰되는 각도이다.

횡방향 하중을 받는 금속모재 복합재료의 파손구조 (Failure Mechanism of Metal Matrix Composites Subject to Transverse Loading)

  • Mechanical behaviors of uniaxially fiber-reinforced metal matrix composites under transverse loading conditions were studied at room and elevated temperatures. A mono-filament composite was selecte d as a representative analysis model with perfectly bonded fiber/matrix interface assumption. The elastic-plastic and visco-plastic models were investigated by both theoretical and numerical methods. The product of triaxiality factor and effective strain as well as stress components and strain energy was obtained as a function of location to estimate the failure sites in fiber-reinforced metal matrix composite. Results showed that fiber/ matrix interfacial debond plays a key role for local failure at the room temperature, while void creation and growth in addition to the interfacial debond are major concerns at the elevated temperature. It was also shown that there would be an optimal diameter of fiber for the strong fiber-reinforced metal matrix composite.
